  • SX30IS!! I also have it! :D

  • Hello and thanks again. Is there a way to turn off the LCD during time lapse photoing? It would help with battery life I think. I can turn down the brightness but the screen is still very readable.

    Thanks

  • @azopene yeah thats a good point. I always turn the display off to get longer battery life. The easiest way to do that is to hit the "display" button twice on your SX30is. To turn it back on hit it twice again. OR you could flip the screen around because it shuts off automatically when it is closed.

  • @BigNate84 Thanks. Appreciate your help.

  • Hello

Thanks, great job. The counter.bas works just fine with my SX30. Can you tell me how to play the shots back so it looks like a video? So far I can only view them individually.

    Thanks

  • @azopene There are a number of ways to do play the shots back as a video. From my experience this must be done using some type of post production software. For example iMovie, Microsoft Movie Maker or a more robust video editor like Final Cut. Basically you import all the still photos in chronological order and set the duration of each photo for a very small amount of time. You could use .01 seconds or .05 seconds as a starting point. The photo's will come to life during play back.

  • great video! thank you so much

  • @videogenius1 Your welcome! Thanks for watching. Have fun capturing time.

  • Nice! I was waiting for this~

I'm gonna try it within these days

  • @89861002 Its super easy to get awesome time lapse sequences. Send me a message if you post one to YouTube I'd like to check it out.

  • nice video! Whenever I load a script, I then cannot load another until I reset CHDK to defaults. When I attempt to change scripts, it shows odd parts of the script I am in. There is no way to go back one folder like in the folder viewer. Do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks!

  • @chentylerl To be honest I have not attempted to run multiple scripts yet. I only use the one intervalometer script so far. I have noticed that I am not able to un-load the script once it is loaded. Its not a huge deal but it can be problematic if you want to switch from using a script to simply using other CHDK overrides on the fly.

  • thanks for posting this! Here goes...

  • Awesome! Pictures were great!

  • @deacman7 thank you! Glad you enjoyed them. Next time I do. Time Lapse sequence I'll be sure to make it longer. I bet 500 shots will look nice at 30 second intervals.
