Jason has never looked back and wished or wanted to go back and do different. now suddenly hes being faced with the reality that his past choices are starting to catch up with him. he has always said his mind doesnt let him go back or make things up but now this is where hes started the process.

Sonny, please, Jason does not remember what Alan passed down to him if he did he would have never treated the Q's the way he did and he would have never become your lapdog/right hand/ mob enforcer. Jason could have giving the Q's something, Robin tried to bridge the distance between them, but when Jason broke up with Robin and Carly got her hooks into him with baby Micheal it made the situation worst. The Q's never stopped loving and wanting the best for him. His regret is a long time coming
