Great idea man, I love innovative approches, I'm gonna set up some sort of rig like that soon. I was running 30 miles a week (probably too much) now I'm down to 7-12 cause of these annoying shin splints, I don't just want to have them heal up I never want them to come back again, this looks like a good way to achieve that. Thanks for posting.
Man I just got a shin splint recently. A combination of running, bad shoes, and all the strength in my calfs and none in my shins. Gotta get foot insoles to tackle the pronator issue. Point being, this is really good information. Thanks!
@face2facechick Be careful with foot orthotics and custom-made insoles. I'm a highschool cross country runner and have been suffering from shin splints since I started running competitively. I thought orthotics would be a quick fix... But according to my pediatrician orthotics are not good for runners. Mine were actually a contributing factor to a stress fracture I am currently recovering from.
Rely on strengthening, and not strapping more stuff on your feet. :)
@colinlikesmusic The insoles are for everyday walking. I've been working on strengthing my muscles. However, I'm noticing that the situation is only going to get worse before it gets better. These exercises have been helping quite a bit
