@romeriojas This is from the same year Doom came out. As in the original one. 1993. When a game only took up 1.44MB of space instead of SEVERAL THOUSAND like they do now. The graphics were GORGEOUS for its time. I still have my copy of Syndicate Plus on CD-ROM. It's been... months since I last played.

for me Syndicate Wars is more cyberpunk, Syndicate is more pre-cyber punks, it looks more industrial than "cyber" as is Syndicate Wars. But then I guess having power cyborgs already fulfill the meaning of "cyber". i hope one day i can remake this two games....

I have looked this game up and it sounds amazing. I think they should produce a remastered version with the best current graphics but the same gameplay. (Maybe some tweaking as I've never played it). And release along with the new Syndicate game from Starbreeze.

Outstanding Intro, Tasty as Hell :D I played only version on A 500 but i remember that SYNDICATE was a revolution, maybe better than UFO ! 5 on 5 degree Artists create that intro, skilled and gifted

Wow I remember this vividly although it's been at least 15 years since I played it last.

I remember tearing shit up with the gauss gun. However I also remember getting killed on the start of last level because you start out under heavy fire and your shields couldn't hold out. I never did figure out how to finish it.

I remember watching my dad play this when I was four. Even though it wasn't a huge part of the game, I was always fasinated with the machine that shows up at 0:57. It reminded me of a spider.

Yeah, this intro creeped me out when I was a kid as well. And my younger sister was equally dismayed by Out of this World (Another World)

Sad thing was the game wouldn't work on our PC, it would crash before starting a mission. Creeped out for nothing :(

I used this game to analyze crowd dynamics back at Yale. I wasn't actually a student there, but I worked in the cafeteria. A few years later, I was calculating the collateral damage of public shootings at Fairchild AFB, WA. Although I wasn't actually employed there, I worked nearby at a Starbucks, but I talked to many people in the special forces and probably Delta who loved to play video games like Myst and Mario Kart. I'm not sure where I'm going with this anymore.

@ameliaKane if you look closer you'll see it says "Subject code: B.O.B." it's not his "name" per say , as it's a designation for the software suite used to implant control over the prospective agent .

B.O.B. meaning " Born On Board" , I.E. his designation as an agent , thought processes and "personality" if you will is actually "born" of the circuitry they implanted into his central nervous system for control of the host body.

This is sci-fi ahead of the curve for a game and it's time.

Get yourself WinUAE (an Amiga Emulator) and download the(or make your own) ADF files of Syndicate disks. There are plenty of websites where you can get these from. Syndicate is suprisingly less playable than I remember it. sigh.

Are you sure about it being less playable? Just the other day, I started playing the DOS version in DOSBox, and at first I was getting my butt kicked. At first I thought it was because the DOS version was faster than I remember the Amiga version being, but after a while I realized that I just wasn't used to playing it after all these years.

Now I only have a couple missions left. Then I need to start on the American Revolt ones. :)

Well I don't know if you remember but this game came out back in the days of when the AdLib soundcard was the king of soundcards and the Soundblaster was just beginning to sway the masses. Back then alot of good/great games had poor sounding music that was like basic MIDI.

It was, simply put, about conquering the world. There was a world map with colored territories; you may note the borders in the SWars map- those borders acted as the dividing lines for individual Syndicate territories that could be conquered through missions.
