you silly kids really need to get off of Lars Ulrich's nutsack. he's really not all that good. these two guys are obvious proof that there is FAR better out there. and i agree...there should be more dual drum solos like this...they used to do similar things like this in the 70's (just not as cool..heh)

well yea no doubt peart is a good drummer but i think the reason why i said that is bcuz ive been listenin to 'tallica since i was 8 and theyve always been my fav. band n still are...and i get a lil defensive when pple go and say shit about my fav. bands and start criticizing their playin when they dont really know what theyre talkin about sometimes, not saying that you were criticizin them (VBranberg) im just tryna make a point, if u get what im saying that is...

Saying that he suck was stupid of me. He isn't very good though, and if someone placed him #2 on the worlds greatest drummers of all time, then that someone knows nothing about drumming. I'm saying this as a drummer myself, and all the other drummers I've spoked with agrees. He is very overestimated.

i'm a drummer also...and sure...when i was first starting out...sure, i thought he was totally kickass. that all changed when i not only saw them live in 1992 with Guns N' Roses , but when i started attending various drum clinics put on by the likes of Terry Bozzio, Dennis Chambers, Louis Bellson, Chester Thompson and even Neil Peart. if you don't know about those drummers, go check 'em out.

Okay, suck might be the wrong thing to say, I mean he isn't a bad drummer... but he is one of the most overestimated drummers.

When I'm saying that Lars is an average drummer, I don't mean that metallica is an average band.

Metallica is a band that went from great when they still played thrash metal (a genre that Lars could play).

So if you still think that he is #2 worlds greatest drummer, listen to him play and compare it to drummers like Portnoy or Neil Part. Then maybe you'll understand.
