He gave a tiny tax cut to the middle class, but since they lost 2.4 million jobs, they weren't paying tax anyhow. Not really a fair trade. Obama has lied on all of his policies and has destroyed the US rating in the process. The American Dream is NOT a HANDOUT and the GOP knows that. Dems always spend more than the GOP. Obama spent 4 T in 2.5 years and Bush spent 4T in 8 years.

Obama put the wars on the budget, Bush did not (he just asked for credit card), that is why on PAPER it looks like Obama's budget looks the way it does, with nothing to show for it. This is one of the examples of FACTS that they are willfully ignorant on. They must have read it, they must know it, yet they talk like its never happened. That is only one example, and that is why you get dismissed.

@evandonghue2 There are good reasons to not like Obama, I have a handful myself. The difference is that mine are based in reality. Those teaparty reps inability to compromise lead us right to this economic dip. They are incompetent, they have proved it. What is their approval rating? I read something to the effect the lowest approval rating Ever. The Tea party, it may have been a good idea, but it was thoroughly possessed and corrupted. Look at the leaders, the governors. Its criminal.

I'd like to see that_ But I do know congress' approval rating is 16%, lowest in american history_ pelosi's unfavorable is 64% per rassmussen_ Its hard to blame tea politicians for a problem that has been decades coming_

I don't know, time will tell_ But I choose to focus on the system which is corrupt instead of focusing on individuals or movements_ Taxation is corrupt, the federal reserve system is corrupt, regulations that empower multinational corporations at the expense of their competition is corrupt and the wars certainly are corrupt_

@KhamusSolo You should also know that many in the tea party support decriminalization of drugs and putting an end to these immoral wars_ Ron Paul for example has said if elected president he would free anyone in a federal jail cell for a non violent drug offense_ He voted against the bailouts, patriot act extensions, and all the funding bills for these wars_

This is dead on. It is a frustrating situation... how do you have a reasonable dialogue with people who have poorly defended "facts" about the world who won't consider anything else. At all. I don't know if I agree with Maxine Water's move politically, but my gut reaction is "right on!" I feel that ever time I read more teabagger lunacy, so I can empathize with her on that count. Hopefully this will be a dead movement by 2012 politically.

@KhamusSolo I consider the working people of China to be less fortunate. Where is the morality in borrowing money from China in order to hand it out to people in the US who aren't working? Why should Chinese factory workers ride a bike to a grueling job so that someone in the US has money to fill their car's gas tank. When will we put an end to this debt slavery?

@siclos Thats not a very good analogy of debt slavery. I would have used students and student loans. Chinese are investing their extra cash, its not a borrow, its a I give your 25 cents today you give me 30 cents next week. the only gas tank Chinese money its going to fill up is our armored hummers in some far off place. Your heart may be in the right place, but you need to make sure your cause is just.
