  • On the seventh day "God created the our troops" and the devil stood to attention !!!!

  • who are the guys in the black coats in the back? 1:58

  • @beck030 They are not coats but scottish cloaks they are the pipers !

  • @beck030 The guys at the back in dark green cloaks are pipers of the Irish Guards the ones with plaid cloaks are the pipers of the Scots Guards

  • Superb!

  • God save the old europe and it's lasting monarchies! :D

    Denmark

  • One thing Britain has held on too thank god, we ain't half good at pomp and ceremony!

  • This is why Great Britain is great, and why we are still the best.

  • BRAVO.......we have our marine barracks sunset parade in wash dc,,,,but nothing iike this, never had, never will,,,,,our heroic military serves the needs of WALL STREET, AND THE WAR PROFITEERS and these ceremonies are costly for the good people of great britain,,,,,i envy all of you!

  • @ERROLCUSTERFLYNN4EVR

Sadly we have all the Republican whingers here nowadays. Apart from the bravery of our troops, the British military is no longer something we can be proud of.

  • @Myles0Harcourt ...........the peoples and countries that great britain and the usa have sought to defeat believe in dying with all the fervor that our western culture believes in living........read sun siu.........the art of war......those who want to die more than those who want to live can never be defeated with anything less than what the usa did in hiroshima and nagasaki,,,, as a veteran i pray for peace......i am proud of your lads and i know you are as well....

  • @ERROLCUSTERFLYNN4EVR

Whether you believe in peace or war, it is still both a matter of pride for any nation to maintain a large armed forces, as well as the deterrent factor. I sleep easier knowing that my country cannot be invaded at will, as I sleep easier knowing we can launch a nuclear strike if the need should arise. I can only envy your great power. As Britain is an ex-colonial power, once the biggest superpower ever, it galls me to see what we are reduced to now.

  • *wipes tear from eye* so, so beautiful.

  • What is the march at 1:00 called?

  • @Myles0Harcourt It's 'Les Huguenots'

  • @ensignvir

    Thanks

  • i love the tune.

  • Lol I thought the guy was having a rage fit at the beginning.

  • Up with the British Empire!!! GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!

  • I remember marching this tune when i was with 48 Highlanders of Canada . We had military band and pipes and drum band

  • It's fucking annoying to see the prince covered in medals he doesn't deserve and didn't fucking earn!!!!!

  • @Plekky08 I think he Prince of Walesdid quite a lot of service as a young man. He might not have fought in any wars, but you wouldn't really expect the heir to the Throne to be put at risk or would you? I bet he did more to earn anything than you ever did. You probably never did any National Service.

    Jacko

  • @jackson224able What I mean is you see loads of our troops who have actually risked their necks for this country and they just get a pat on the back and a well done but the price of wales does practically fuck all and gets shit loads of decorations.

  • @Plekky08 I think we all owe our troops more gratitude than we actually give them. if you asked them, I think you'd find that our troops don't serve for the medals or the glory or the thrill or the thanks. they do it out of a sense of duty.

But we live in a democracy, so we can always elect governments that treat them better, if we choose to make this an issue.

  • @flygweilo I know they don't, when I'm old enough to sign myself in I'll be one of them. Not in the guards but thats besides the point, I would just like to see soldiers get more recognition than they get.

  • @Plekky08 That would imply the army as an institution getting more recognition as it already gets, and the recognition of no soldier is worth that.

  • @Gonnakillyou No what I'm implying is that the prince of wales and any other member of the royal family for that matter should have to earn medals like everyone else.

  • @Plekky08 watch your language bud!

  • @sonnyups Why do you have a problem with English

  • @Plekky08 Without any wish to offend, the Prince of Wales wears the decorations won by the regiment on parade before him on the day. The idea is for the PoW to acknowledge the traditions, battle record and bravery of the troops marching past, and to salute them as he accepts their salute to the Queen.

I do agree with you that if he was simply grandstanding by wearing honours he had not won, it would be obnoxious.

  • @Plekky08

Your comment in some Commonwealth countries would have been considered seditious.

  • @gnoynix1 I'm British and I couldn't give a fuck.

  • @Plekky08

Well, if you’re British you should know that the British outsource bumping-off projects to outsiders.
