Then maybe you should buy the Junji Ito collection "Musuem of Terror" ( 3 volumes only) due to cancellation by Dark Horse. The first two volumes contain the Tomie stories. I also know where to read some of the manga online but supporting it is much better for the sake of the manga that didn't sell that well and this collection contains the newer Tomie stories you won't find from these scans that came from the old english adaptation years ago.

I didn't like this one as much as I like others in the series, like Forbidden Fruit and Replay. But this is an excellent haunting tune, and that opening sequence is still amazing.

I've the DVD boxset of Tomie. It's great. And this amazing haunting song goes through the different titles. Wouldn't say it's better than The Ring or The Grudge series but its up there.

The first film is really the only one worth while. The second one has it's moments, and it's just downhill from there.

Forbidden Fruit has some originality to it. So maybe skip to that one just for fun. But the others, especially the ones shot on video (another face, or "beginning" or "revenge" dvds) are the ones to especially AVOID at all costs.

the soundtrack was by a band called World Famous and it featured several songs from the movie plus others. It was not a regular soundtrack. It's long out of print and hard to find in Japan but you can find it if you have time to look for it in the used cd stores in Shinjuku or Ueno. I found mine after like 5 days of search. It's also sometimes on Yahoo auctions Japan but you have to live in japan to bid.

Its about a girl(Tomie) who is unlike other girls, boys go nuts for her beauty, girls go nuts period. The boys kill eachother over her, sometimes killing their girlfriends.

Tomie has something else too, the ability to regenerate whenever killed, the smallest drop of blood turns into a new Tomie.

Its kind of like the japanese equivilent to our Friday the 13th
