@FlaviasCucumber I was just pointing out that some Breeders/Amps singles have either totally different , re-recorded versions ("Pacer") or a "single mix" ("Divine Hammer") different from the album versions. I think it's is very interesting -2 versions of the same song for our listening pleasure.It's not a CRTICISM on the QUALITY of the songs or their recording. I love them, and I love BOTH album versions (more "lo-fi") and single versions (more "polished").

For kids today, I wish there were no cell phones. No internet. No instant always able to get a hold of you, know where you are, IM/text/instant email. No 24/7 yelling in your face news. It was better to grow up in a simpler time. It wasn't that long ago. Calling your friends house, going out w/ quarters for a pay phone. Spending time together IN PERSON. Having long conversatins TOGETHER. I feel so bad for kids today. They'll never know that it was a lot more fun to be a kid, a lot more intimate.

I fell in love with "Divine Hammer" the moment I heard it: completely and unconditionally. What a great band; vastly under-rated, and enormously talented. One of a handfull of bands out of the '90's that mattered, and not to be sexist (only human) I agree with "sartreismartre": Kim is one hot cookie!

I totally agree with what you're saying, but I went backstage at a Breeders show in Atlanta about 5 years ago, and Kim Deal was not hiding the fact that she was shooting up.
