  • Do you have any idea how much quicker it would be to do all that gathering on a sewing machine? Plus I don't get why the layers underneath get shorter and shorter. Shouldn't it be the other way? Like you could use different colors and have the darkest color the longest and the innermost one.

  • @MeetEmma Yea seems like she just ignore the seam I guess it works out just fine since the tulle doesnt come undone like cottons

  • if i have a 36 inch waist how many yards of tule will i need? and if i want my tutu to be flatter (like professional ballerinas) should i just add more layers?

  • ok if you have a 36 inch waist and want a profesinal look you need to buy instead of tulle buy hard diamond net uslely about 1.50-$2.00 a yard and but about 15-20 yards if on a 52 inch width and your layers should all be about 160 inches long and do it this way shown in the video with the gathering but make your waist line band wider about 6-8 inches and you need 9 layers 15, 13,12,11,8,6,5,4,3 inches sticking out then once all sewn on, you do what is called tacking the tutu which is that you

  • I am of the age of 13 and i love to sew and knit and do other creative activities and as a gift to my dance friend, who is about the size a a 10 year old, i wanted to give her a hand made tutu and this video was very easy to comprehend so now i can make her one that she can actually dance in that isn't going to fall apart.
