I don't understand that part of Japanese culture.

I believe that if you have a skill, you should be proud of that skill, and playing music of this caliber is definately something to be proud of. Yet they hide their faces.

The Viola is like the french horn of the orchestra. It can play high notes (not as high as the violin) but it can play much lower than the violin.
