When I started watching movies in English, I hated the language as a whole. Everything sounded emotionless and boring.

I don't know where that feeling came from or when it left, but I guess as I got more accustomed to the language I started to hear it differently, too.

Nowadays I don't understand what the hell I was hating back then.

The best song any Disney Princess sang. It shows the emotion of Ariel. Bringing her to life giving her depth. The meaning is also very true! Everyone wants what they cant have. Though of course, Disney had to sugar coat this story for children. In the original story the real little Mermaid doesn't get her prince in the end. She lost the deal that she made with the Sea witch...wich brings her death when the prince marry's another woman of royal blood. Very painful & tragic life she lives on land.
