You get use to it. It is pretty much the essence of New York. Where there is traffic, there's traffic. It is pretty much code in every city.....unless you live in LA, which you don't want to, anyway.
I spent many great days in grand army and basking in walks across the bridge...I'd always grab a bagel at that place on Montague street in the Heights...and then browse the bookstore next door...and sit at the promenade...it never gets old. Miami can never offer that...and *%!@ that guy honking..are you entitled to let everyone in?
