This was pilot error, the untied airline pilots werent paying attention to there speed and missed the left turn onto taxiway B. The local controller realized what happened and sent Delta around. The ground controller told told united to stop. Since you all like the video so much how about reading the NTSB incident report. THIS WAS NOT ATC ERROR.
FAA is worried about Airplane Safety. There is no Economy to maintain its safety and functionality. There's no money so Airplane repairs are less. They aren't speaking because it would require shutting down the entire industry. Near Accidents Happen 100's of X's a day. Airplane Landing is Horrific Pilots are Worried. Engines on these Airplanes are getting old risk of failing is 20% all the time.
@natofsx8 no i read the incident report on this. no pilot fault. ATC error the delta was cleared to land and the united was cleared to taxi across that runway. you will notice they did not say that "United hold position"
Apparently at 0:50, as the United was turning, there were two taxi-way's looking like this \l was suppose to take this one to the runway \ instead he took this one by mistake l
Although, I'm not sure how ATC never caught the United plane's mistake until the near collision. Like I said I was on observation deck at Fort Lauderdale. It was so close! I had never seen one that close before.
Oh man, I remember this because I was on the observation deck at FLL the day this happened. According to all the stuff I heard, the United was the one that screwed because they were suppose turn off at another taxi-way and they missed.
@KuostA KFLL FT.LAUDERDALE ATC THATS WHOSE FALT BY THE WAY I WAS IN FT.LAUDERDALE ON SPIRTIT FLIGHT 465 TO BOSTON AND I SAW THIS HAPPEN WE WERE TURNING TO TAKEOFF ON THE RUNWAY THE DELTA LANDED ON

Pilot missed turnoff at 2:45. Not sure how he didn't notice. If he was looking barely to his left, he should've seen Delta flight coming.

Did they used FS95 for this?.. It looks pretty ugly.

oh my god...if UA taxied a little faster or would have been on the runway otherwise, the 757 would never have made it over the fuselage.

Two things you never want to hear a pilot say, "What did he say", and "What the hell"

looks like the pilots were distracted doing their routine flight control check even seconds after they were told to hold short of the runway...
