the thing i LOVE about Romero is that, unlike a lot of other directors, he continues to thrive in & genuinely loves the zombie genre. other filmmakers will make a genre film then use it as a springboard to make more "respectable films." most directors would absolutely refuse to continue making one type of movie because they feel it's somehow beneath them. Romero, however, loves zombie movies & has found a way to turn them into a way of commenting on important ideas & issues.

George Romero is the only movie maker that gave me a headache with his zombie movies... Day of the Dead is my favourite zombie movie and Dawn of the Dead is my favourite movie ever....and its still a zombie movie. To this day i'm confused LOL! Romero is the best and I swear if I'm alive the day he dies, I will be at his funeral and I will watch every movie he made on the same day. The man should get an Oscar for his achievement!
