at 0:45, I have seen that scene from numerous videos from various people uploading their videos; it shows Ms. Monroe inside a white framed window and wearing a white colored bathrobe, and waving a smiling to people; does anyone know if that scene was from one of her films, or from her real life moments, also, if from her real life, then what was that context? thank you, a Marilyn fan, John

That photo and the one at 0:52 (as well as the video you mentioned) were taken while she was filming "The Seven Year Itch" on location in New York City. I believe it was in 1954.

Marilyn was having problems with her marriage to Joe DiMaggio. That may be why she looks a little sad in some of the footage, though I'm not sure if the problems started before or after those photos were taken. I did read that the filming of her famous "uplifted skirt" scene (outdoors, in front of a crowd) made Joe angry and caused an argument. A few weeks later, they separated. That scene was re-filmed indoors on a set, which is the one you see in the movie.

Joe was such a moron for being upset over that skirt scene! back in those days, that panty Marilyn was wearing for that skirt scene was not any smaller than the ladys' swimsuit of that era/time. infact I think the panty MM was wearing for that scene was actually coverage larger than some of those bathing suit photos MM had posed for in still pictures. anyways, thank you for info.
