@Valeu It was the orginal cover to the Album Today and Yesterday. It was obviously rejected. They revised it and changed it to a more subtle picture of them with an open luggage box. The "butcher" cover was just to disturbing.

I was 8 when it came out in USA on the Yesterday and Today album June 66..the chords are awesome and this song was the bridge to later psychedelic Beatles that came with Revolver

lennon sang what he felt didnt matter if it made sense but it did but paul is a natural musician and lyrically clever he has alot of structure to his songs!
This is one of McCartney's best songs. This song says what millions of couples have thought, felt and went through for time imemmorial. Paul needed John more than John needed him and the rivalry between them was beneficial to them and us. But with John's being a more natural lyricist and vocal about what he did and didn't like probably made Paul pay much more attention and devote more time to his lyrics as a Beatle.
