i just dont get how zero suit samus is stronger than power suit samus. I can understand the speed but what about the boost ability in the metroid series. The fact is zero suit samus is in human form with a stun gun and whip. When she was introduced in zero mission being in zero suit form meant she was weaker not freaken a and b tier. Zero suit samus is to unrealistically good.

Samus is an odd one. IMO she got nerfed quite a bit from Melee. She has lost so much killing potential and is really floaty. She's meant to be a projectile master but I personally think she's exceeded by Link and Toon Link there. At least she got a massive buff in BBrawl and ZSS ROCKS!!
My favorite is Zero Suit Samus - She barely has any killing power, and I thought she sucked at first because of that - but once you play her for a while you learn to combo attacks using the paralyzer, plasma whip and her flip, that she is one of the most deadly characters in the game. Took a while, but worth it.

I disagree. It's possible to play Samus at a very high level. This move-set is by no means comprehensive. I'm a Samus user and I can hold my own against experienced players no matter who they use. To me she's the most balanced character if used correctly. She can also be very fast. That depends on the player's reaction time, character distance, use of melee attacks vs. ranged, and shielding. All are very important with Samus. Most characters are built for players. Samus builds ur skill.
Samus is actually an extremely weak character in Brawl, surprisingly. Charge Shot is pretty weak even if fully charged, her forward smash is also weak, down smash is weaker and up smash really sucks, dtilt is another KO move which is pretty bad in range. Along ROB and Yoshi she is one of the two weak hevyweights. Samus is horrible at finishing, a true fact. She must spike to kill early.

sorry my friend, but they are indeed good, you just gotta know how to evade a "good opponent" and use their up b's to the best of their potential. if you're going down, take the opponent with you! zero suit samus's up b does exactly that. it pulls you down. very useful when someone is chasing you off the edge. ivysaur's up b has massive recovery range. use razor leaf to keep your foe at bay. ask for olimar, i don't use him so you'll have to ask someone else. point being, they don't suck.
i already know what to do with them (well, i dont use ivysaur at all) i just need to vent my hatred of having to deal with that shit being done to me in my blissful youth -_-
Um, Side B for recovery much? Down B should only be used when your actually really close to the edge, then aproach the stage with it and use to attack.

You get zero suit samus after you use the final smash ball thing.( rainbow/black ball thinggy)Soo after you get that and shoot the blaster thinggy.. you lose your suit and become zero suit samus.
I also had problems with the super missle and kept doing the seeker missle. After a while I got the hang of firing super missiles....and now I can't semm to fire seeker missiles anymore.

well, i always use the super missile, you just need to practice and i didnt, but its very easy. I just have a good hand-eye coirdination and timing ;)
You may already know this, but you can the final smash by nailing it with a charged shot or with a smash missile.
One thing I always get screwed with the 0-laser is standing to close to the edge, and I fall off while I'm doing the final smash. Can't stand 0-suit Samus or her moves. Quick as hell, but man she's weak. However I'm still trying to get use to her.

She is for a very brief second after she uses her final smash. She is when you enter the match as zero suit obviously. However if you turn into zero suit via taunting you are 100% vulnerable. I would suggest either using the final smash or just entering the match as her as the taunt version can be a little hard to do and unlike the other two ways you are 100% at your enemies mercy.
Aright I'm just throwing this out there, i think the next smash game should be nintendo vs sega. Sega now does have a tennis game with all the all stars that represent sega itself, why not have one against nintendo?

I think that's pretty lame. That doesn't happen for any other character. It really screws me up when we use final smashes. I can beat any other character regardless of tier if she keeps her power suit on
my whole childhood I played metroid, then super metroid over and over heh. Then as adult Fusion and zero mision. Cannot see myself play as any other char no matter how sucky now samus may be cause its me.
ive been a samus user since nintendo 64 but her final smash is a bit slow and zero suit samus sucks i mean she rear smashed ike with all her strenght in 130 or something and didnt send him flying that sucks but still good
samus is the WORST in the 64 version. Kirby is the best. Samus was so slow and her smash made her stay in the same spot. with kirby u could dodge quickly smash attack, followed by another and another till you got like 50% racked up, do a running attack smash continue... till they are dead. fly off the edge to guard and its good game
who says. i would like to check it out. i dont think so. kirby's smash is faster and only slightly less damage 17% if i remember correctly and pikachus is 20%. kirby has great edge gaurding and is difficult to gaurd against. his smash moves along the slope of ground. so if someone is on a higher part of the hill than you (or lower) you can still hit them. however it is the same thing with pikachu. kirby has better recovery and it great all round. kirby wipes the floor with pikachu.
No, I don't think you understand what a tier list is. It's the listing of characters based on how many tournaments each characters win. So pikachu wins a little more than kirby in so called "pro" tournaments.
Oh my bad, i misunderstood then. i just wish i could have played in those tournaments, or online somehow. i have never lost to ANYONE in the original. to say kirby is the best is an understatement.

With Zero Suit Samus, don't press Up and B to recover, press Down and B and she'll do a third jump, rather than using her whip to try and grab on.

ZSS final smash looks like the crystal flash from super metroid. (For those who dont know what that is, it's the move where you exchange all your missle, super missler, and super bomb ammo for full health.)

i think i understand what he means. back in the good old days (SSB N64), i thought samus was a guy. she was my fave character. then my friend told me samus isnt a he. i still loved her but it wasn't the same. not to be sexist but i would've preferred a dude, but im happy with samus the way she is. Young people... never got to experience the greatness of the original Metroid game... how sad. I mean it both sarcastically and seriously too... now days games tend to be all about what can you blow the fuck out of and how good it looks. The old days it was only one of two things: 1. The game was so fucking awesome (Contra for example) it still kicks the ass of games like Halo and Gears of War or 2. The game was just shit (movie crap normally) You poor 90s peoples :(

She is for a very brief second after she uses her final smash. She is when you enter the match as zero suit obviously. However if you turn into zero suit via taunting you are 100% vulnerable. I would suggest either using the final smash or just entering the match as her as the taunt version can be a little hard to do and unlike the other two ways you are 100% at your enemies mercy.

You shoot super missiles when you smash the control stick and homing missiles when you tilt it.

I think that's pretty lame. That doesn't happen for any other character. It really screws me up when we use final smashes. I can beat any other character regardless of tier if she keeps her power suit on

Consequently though her final smash is devastating. In zero suit form her final smash is to get her suit back so it works out.

I agree. ZSSamus is very skilled in close combat and quite impressive. She reminds me of Sheik (fast, good A attacks, the whip etc).

my whole childhood I played metroid, then super metroid over and over heh. Then as adult Fusion and zero mision. Cannot see myself play as any other char no matter how sucky now samus may be cause its me.

samus is the WORST in the 64 version. Kirby is the best. Samus was so slow and her smash made her stay in the same spot. with kirby u could dodge quickly smash attack, followed by another and another till you got like 50% racked up, do a running attack smash continue... till they are dead. fly off the edge to guard and its good game

who says. i would like to check it out. i dont think so. kirby's smash is faster and only slightly less damage 17% if i remember correctly and pikachus is 20%. kirby has great edge gaurding and is difficult to gaurd against. his smash moves along the slope of ground. so if someone is on a higher part of the hill than you (or lower) you can still hit them. however it is the same thing with pikachu. kirby has better recovery and it great all round. kirby wipes the floor with pikachu.

No, I don't think you understand what a tier list is. It's the listing of characters based on how many tournaments each characters win. So pikachu wins a little more than kirby in so called "pro" tournaments.
