shadow is an interesting character. in Sonic Heroes, it is hinted that he is an android of the original, and in this game that is one of the story lines, but the true ending doesn't reference it. maybe he is the original, since i don't think copy would have those memories. only other game with shadow that i played was Sonic Battle, and he does reference Maria and Gerald.

Omega is a machine that feels the need to have its vengeance for being a 'useless defect' of the other E-series. (his name is E-123 Omega, so he's the 123rd E-series machine created by Eggman/Robotnik.)

You have to remember that Eggman lies a lot. Just ask Knuckles.

In the final battle, if you let it go on for awhile, Eggman will admit that he saved him at the end of SA2 and that he lied about creating him as an android.

When you listen to all the songs for Shadow you can really get a grasp on what he's like. And, it kinda sounds like he's finally going to stop being 'the Ultimate Lifeform' Shadow and be Shadow the Hedgehog-a normal,sad, but normal boy. When I saw him tear the picture in half at the end of the game and say 'Sayanara Shadow the Hedgehog...' I shouted FINALLY!
