  • . . . Something about Feste makes me love everything he does.

  • pure silliness...i LOVE it! <3

  • Again I must say that this whole scene of the yellow socks and Olivia is perfect! Helena Bonham Carter's laughing in this scene is so funny..I love her laugh! " Why this is very Mid Summer Madness." I love that line! And again Helena Bonham Carter's expression with this whole scene is..BRILLIANT ! Thanks for putting my favorite movie up! :)

  • Best scene ever!

  • That was a very manly scream for those who were wondering....

  • "you are not of my element" lawl Shakespeare knows how to write a timeless play

  • Toby's laugh :)

  • Moria means this as a joke/getting some revenge but Toby really wouldn't care if Malvolio goes mad. Malvolio, arrogent or not, has morals and Toby doesn't want that to get in the way of his fun. I've watched this twice today and the more I watch it the more I realize that Toby doesn't care for anyone but himself. He's a user. His cousin, Sir Andrew, the male servant and Moria are all toys to be played with. He sets up this fight for a legal way to get Sir Andrew killed. No dept. Is this right?

  • @Songsmirth

Yes, Toby uses everybody but I wonder what Maria is up to. It ought have been considered a cruel joke even in the seventieens. I do not believe she ever gives any reason for such a revenge, except to impress Toby of course.

Maybe it just turned out this way because Shakespeare wrote the plays for those actors he had. Maybe he had a "Malvolio" whom he knew would be great in the role.

  • @MsSilentia You know, I've never thought of that! Of couse he'd play to his actor's strengths. hummm Makes me wonder about the rest of his plays. I don't remember him ever talking of his actors. You? / I think it's only to impress Toby as well but in the end, even when she gets what she wants, her plotting got them turned out. And she's stuck with an alcholoic for all her life. How's he going to make $? Revenge enough.

  • The rats three! / Me thinks that this be the best production of Twelth Night ever. Perfect casting. FOR ONCE they've got some believable twins. Ben really has a beautiful voice and plays the opposite fool well. I don't think he's every played something badly. "Sneakers" was one of my favorites. I don't know who the man is who plays Toby but he's fun. / Thank you Wat for taking the time to share this with us. Helped make my day a little sweeter. :) Songs

  • 3:30 now THATS how you flex when going on duel xD epicness. I shall try that next time xD

  • @bellacantante818 looks like teabagging to me...

  • Epic duel is epic. :-D

  • Thumbs up if you are watching this for English class

  • i'm i the only one who is laughing like a manic when they're fighting?

  • @GirlzRockz12 No not the only one - I was nearly wetting myself too :-)

  • Andrew looks just like the duke from Moulin Rouge, even though I know it's a different actor!

  • @BaronVonMeggles YES!! someone else sees it too!! LOL!

  • *silence* then viola goes NAAAAAAAARGH!!! *klickedyklickedyklickedy*

  • i think we all can agree...

that's a damn good diabolical prank they play on Malvolio. >D

  • Hahaha

  • Malvolio's my favourite character, though I never have imagined him thus!

    :3

  • Considering she's had minimal training, Viola's not that bad of a fighter. She's certainly more aggressive that Sir Andrew lol

  • “young man, whatever you are, you are a scum bucket.

don’t ask why I call you that, for I will not give you an explanation.”

the part where they think it is the end of the letter. heheh :)

ah, poor sir andrew. i love his training going on in the background :D

  • she screams like a girl... haha!

  • @avengefullgirl95 why she is a girl for sure.

  • I cannot help it: I like this movie, though it cheats the viewer of so many immortal lines of Shakespeare; but the idea to use Feste as some sort of chorus (in the sense of a great tragedy/comedy) and the expression of emotions like deep hatred and sadness in the looks of the characters (Feste and Malvolio, mostly) alone is well done; and the twin pair is well played and chosen.

  • Oh God, the beginning of the fight scene- it looks like their doing a flamenco dance move. XDD

  • lol, I LOVE the fencing scene!

  • oh joy now i have to act out this scene for school!

  • LOL the fight scene is to FUNNY!!!

  • That Fabian sounds like he's from Yorkshire. Does anyone know who the actor is?

  • It´s Peter Gunn. Born and bred in Lancashire.

  • Okay, thanks =)

Don't know who thumbs-downed my comment, I was fairly close x)

  • lol, this scene, omg, too funny. i love it!

  • oh my awesome lol this gets better and better

  • omg too funny. I laughed so hard at that fighting scene I cried.

  • i feel so bad for malvolio. =(

  • I love the fighting scene its so funny when toby starts telling them that the other one is brave although they are really scared from each other

  • I love their laughing, it always makes me laugh :)

  • Oh, hands down, the fight scene is the best reason to make a movie out of the play. In theater, you're lucky if their swords even cross.

  • LOL Yellow leggings!

Thank you for uploading this movie!

  • LOOOL, when Antonio comes through to take over the duel for Violet thinking it is Sebastien... quite a great moment!

  • lol Sir Toby ripping up Sir Andrew's letter

  • I love watching them laugh at Malvolio...that whole subplot is just plain hilarious.

  • I agree. The audience feels like they're in on it and laughing with them too! Before seeing this version, I'd seen performances where the actors seemed to forget they were in a comedy!

  • @x0HOney Awww I feel bad for him. Just cause he doesn't get along with the rest of them doesn't mean that he doesn't deserve love and some semblence of respect.

  • it's so funny. when they were fighting, first their wax figures, then they play catching

  • cesario fights like a girl.

    wait...

  • ahahaha

  • This is one of the things that I love of this movie: they actually fight. It's wonderfully funny. And I can't help feeling sorry for Sir Andrew, he's terrible even at fighting with a woman.

  • This cross gartering thing, is that really something people did? Wrap a garder around their legs?

  • @lollipopfop Yeah, but it was rather rare.

  • This part is pretty crazy...but it is funny..hey watBORg..I love the fact that you uploaded these clips..Thanks..:)
