Boring to you, maybe, but not boring to tens of millions of F1 fans in Europe and else where in the world. In many nations in Europe, F1 races get more ratings than NFL playoff ratings in US. I don't think most American people will ever "get" F1, as most will never understand why soccer is fun to watch. It goes the opposite way, too, as most Europeans think American football is about as boring as watching paint dry.

of course F1 has gotten quite boring since like 1998 or so. i know, but would you really like to replace F1 style racing with oval racing where cars're just going around, around, and around the track? ask bernie or jean todt to change the track layouts, regulations, bring back slick tires, put more restrictions on aero-grip, etc.... i've seen too many stupid IRL oval racings to know that they suck. IRL doesn't even weigh the drivers and the cars together -- probably why Danica has done well.

well regarding Danica i refer also to her karting and formula 4 days in england where she competed with a fair few other ladies and still came out miles ahead but that aside i would agree with you NASCAR i try and try to watch but i cant seem to enjoy that oval style but several of this seasons IRL ovals have been down to the wire wheel to wheel adrenaline to watch and like yourself i had that view but i converted and think wow,yes F1 is always the pinnacle.we can agree to disagree im sure:)

well, my guess is that you probably want something different. i'm a yank so i come across so much of oval racings, and they are pretty contrived. because the cars are bulit around equal, oval neuralizes driver skill greatly, and because there's no run-off area, every time somebody crash, they have to stop the race so everybody bunches up. close racing, yes, but artificially forced close racing. not to mention sub-par drivers. anybody who's very food in IRL wants to go to F1, and they do.
