I reckoned the reason why Hubbard loves to condemn Psychiatry, because psychological problems are not physically seen unlike surgery, tumor etc.

I´m not approving scientology or anything they believe in, but it must be sad, that even if he went to a phychiater, this could´ve happend. I had two friends (brother and sister), who were in there mid-twenties and both went to a phychiater. But only after they killed themselves, they were "diagnosed" schizophrenic! Before their dead, they got treatment in a phychiatric clinic and a lot of suport of their loving familiy. Didn´t help them at all! They turned violent and blamed their family!

it interests me too im on anti-depressants, my partner is a manic depressive bipolar hes had a rough 14 years hes now on the right meds for him but it took us 8-9yrs to get him where he is i couldnt imagine if wed of been scientologists and he wasnt allowed his meds because when off them he deteriorates very quickly to the point of hallucinating feeling very paranoid not sleeping manic angry hypersactive, its very frightening i feel for jeremy he desperatly needed help not being turned away!

This story is so sad and, I believe, this amount of attachment to an ideology is pathetic. I wonder why scientology feels they have to delete anonymous comments. I don't think it is justice that the son killed the mom. She was brain washed, too. Now when the son takes his medication for his disease and is rational and better mentally, he will have to live with the fact that he killed his mom. The whole family lost somebody they loved.

It isn't the people who are desperate enough to cling onto this "faith" that should be punished. It is the people who spend their entire lives teaching the followers to believe that mental disease does not exist.
