the bottom line is that Tobacco and Marijuana are one in the same and should be treated as such, our polar stances are hypocritical blasphemy, and neither should be legal, it be like J walking, community service and stuff not jail, except for huge amounts and crops
@desertdude1234 Relating marijuana and tobacco is like relating petty theft and armed robbery. fuck off. No one has ever died from marijuana. Millions die from tobacco every year. "one of the same"? kiss my fuckin ass.
@lukyc101 Your moronic idiocy is a disservice to humanity, personally I think Marijuana and Tobacco should be decriminalized, marijuana needs to become slightly less illegal and tobacco needs to become slightly more illegal. For this country to let 50 million smokers poison 250 million non smokers is bullshit when your arresting and jailing marijuana smokers. Either way I'll still fuck your mothers mouth after I put you in a brazing bull and eat your soul medium rare u bible thumping faggot.
1. My not smoking doesn't effect your smoking, your smoking effects my non smoking ex: pulling up next to a smoker at a stop light. 250 Million non smokers>50 Million smokers.
2. Marijuana shouldn't be criminal, nor legal, Tobacco shouldn't be legal, nor criminal, we need to reinvent our smokable crops laws, the problem with tobacco is 2nd smoke is unconstitutional, a child in a car seat can be exposed to 2nd hand, that's not allowed, its deadly.
This presentation is so fantastic, I've held this point myself for years against people who think cigarettes are every bit as disgusting as I do, we ALL hate cigarettes, especially us non-smokers, but it would be an unforgivable hypocrisy to stand up for our own choice consumptions and not for those of other people. How I feel about cigarettes should have nothing at all to do with the rights of others to smoke them.
This guy makes sense! I smoke tobacco and wish I could smoke only cannabis as I believe its natural and way more healthy. I would quit smoking straight away if cannabis was legalized and only smoke bongs and blunts all the way! Cannabis is personally the second best drug to use to help cure my asthma after inhalers, tobacco obviously makes it alot worse. I dont know why im smoking this shite, I need sum fucking weed man!
There are three types of people who support drug prohibition.
1. Those who legally gain employment, power and/or money by exploiting the victims of the war on drugs (ie. district attorneys, judges, lawyers, police officers, the prison industrial complex)
2. Those who profit directly from the black market created by prohibition. (gangsters, drug cartels, mafia, etc.)
3. Mildly retarded people who actually think that the government is protecting her citizens through prohibition.
@terrorkorp You're an idiot. Prohibition creates gangs. Gangs like money. Gangs will sell illegal goods at a risk associated cost to people who want the drugs.
This is today.
People like you needa be shot up with morphine day in and out and be kept out of public view. You are part of the cancer of our society.
I stopped caring..it's hopeless. We come on here , watch these videos and we read comments by people who think like us..we search for the same types of videos..thoughtful , bettter informed people..saddly we are a minority.
Most people are freaking retarded. They want more prohibition..They think the gov is looking out for them, and can't do wrong. They'll fight you if you tell them the truth.
I throwed up my hands along time ago, it's all a waist of time. Waist of energy.
Hell, its Illegal out here in Oregon to drive without a seatbelt, drive while using a cell phone, and if your kid isn't taller than 4'8 and hes not in a BOOSTER SEAT then your breaking the law.
Nobody out here in Oregon seems to care about anything, all anyone out here wants to do is get high and party.
I don't know a single person who actually looks into who they are voting for. They go by looks and such. Americans are going completely retarded.
People don't know what it is to be an American anymore. Its supposed to be a FREE country.
Read the Constitution and Declaration of Independence once in awhile if you live here. You should know what our countrys rules are supposed to be.
Maybe this is why America is going down the shitter. We need to go by our Constitution!
Not swear to protect it then do the opposite. All unconstitutional laws should be abolished. We should get more freedom as we go, not lose more and more every year.
Your stupid! Why would you say that! Kids are stupid! My brother is your age, and if i caught him talking like that I would kick his ass! Prohibition does suck, but don't talk about cutting a governors throat!! GEEZ!
Hey man, relax.Smoke one and relax..All I'm saying is you can't be talking like that, becuz in the real word.. You go to jail or you get dead boy! So think about what your saying! There are crazy loons out there that would like nothing better to do then to put your lights out, and your just giving them a reason talking like that! But hey, what the fuck do I know, I've only lived a decade more! y don't you try saying something a little more intelligent. And grow thefuck up! Quit being an ass!
Oh yeah, and take some fucking advice once and a while, don't act like your to good for it. Don't act like a punk, and act like authority sucks. You're only going to hurt yourself! Not going to say anymore, other then kids are fucking stupid! Hope you grow up soon! Happens quicker then you know! Enjoy it while you can!
Our authority? Which most people consider our government these days.
They do suck, they aren't doing things right at all. They are shitting on our constitution, driving our country into deep debt, fighting multiple wars, imprisoning the highest amount of citizens in the world, pretending to be the policeman of the whole world, Ignoring states right to make laws, arresting people who are not only following state law but are also very ill, torturing USA prisoners of war, managing secret prisons.
Well I could go on and on what our government as done in the past 30 years or so that is completely wrong and of which they have no right to even do so.
Obviously someone hasn't studied up on their history.
But not only are they not supposed to be making whatever laws they see fit, they aren't supposed to be telling us what to do with our lives. Our government was formed to protect liberty, that's what alot of people have killed and died for, and what most Americans are now throwing away.
I do a agree with this man, He is a big supporter of legalizing Marjuanna, but the illegalazation of tobacco will never happen because it is making us money, but i also beileve in the Legalzation of marjuanna, it will make more money than tobacco, and it will cut down on the mexician drug crime
oookay. at first i thought Etahn N. was a DEA associate. Like someone that was in support of the war on drugs. I almost was thinking to nay say him! Honestly, he puts up a very good argument. I am very much against the usage and demonization of the word "marijuana" i prefer the word hemp. Because it IS Hemp, or Indian Hemp. Prohibition doesn't work but its wrong to have the world's deadliest drug legal because of Big Tobacco Corps funding political pockets! NO FAIR!
This man sounds too rational... He will never be chosen to be the director of the ONDCP. Obama will most likely choose somebody just as corrupt as he is.
Yes, prohibitive laws have always caused crime and police corruption, I think I heard Jack Cole of LEAP say "in the last ten years 50% of smokers have quit. this is due to education" No matter how you look at it a good drug awareness program that doesn't include talking dogs and a guy putting his hand in his mouth (the PSA propaganda)would go a lot further than prohibition could ever hope to. Teach our children and lead by example. Responsible decisions are key in all we do, not just drugs.
contraband tobacco is becoming a problem in Canada because legal cigarrettes are becoming more and more heavily taxed. If there is too much regulation on tobacco than a black market will rise even if the drug is legal
Prohibition ALWAYS does more harm than good. At one time in parts of Asia tobacco was banned punishable by death. Even that failed miserably. Prohibition is a policy that has never never worked anywhere in history and never will.
Basicaly Tobbaco is nasty and very very addictive. Infact that is the drugs main function. My firs cigarete was grate i was about 9 and it span me out a treat and yes i liked it so i did it again and again and again and again untill boff im an addict. same as herroin same as cocaine. Its in the same league it just does not get you as high. Its all about being addicted. Craving, satisfaction and so on nast drug very nasty I would love a cigarete now lol daa nast!
yea but once you are hooked you are addicted for life, it will keep kreeping up on you. I have stoped and started since i was a lad. I Do Not Smoke but i want to everyday not ontensley but the addiction is verry strong its a real nasty one.
the reason they are saying yes... is because they are stupid... is as simple as that... americans are stupid! i myself are an american so dont say im a stupid foreigner!
If you really want to get technical America all by itself is actually someone's name. There is no continent called America - it is NORTH America, or SOUTH America. All superducky said was America. Without the words before it, this could mean: North America (continent), South America (continent), or the United States of America (COUNTRY).
North and south, east and west are cardinal directions not a real name. America is a continent and not a country... that is quite obvious to most of us that live in the continent, I bet you are the kinda guy that cannot point Iraq in a map. All the money your country spends in war should be spent educating you people, but sadly for you those up top need you to be as dumb as possible for easier brainwashing and indoctrination.
America was the name of a map maker...this is first and foremost. Look on any globe and you will see the continents named with their appropriate "cardinal directions" as part of their name. If America was a single continent all by itself then there would only be 6 continents as opposed to 7. If you wish to insult my command of world geography you may want to choose a smaller and more obscure country than Iraq.
The name of the "map maker" was Amerigo someone else feminized the name to even it with the names of the other continents, and what does that has to do with anything?, the first mention of America as a continent dates from 1507, the USA declared its independence on 1776... the name distinguishing the continent was used for 269 years before the USA even existed!. Your country is trying to steal the name for itself, try to think even if it hurts... how about Vietnam?.
The problem with the public opinion on tobacco right now, is because we've had 30 years of anti-smoking propaganda out there, scaring people. And while for health reasons, this is a good thing, it also creates a negative public opinion, which can only lead to a prohibition. And once we have a prohibition, rather than have victims of smoking, we'll have FAR MORE victims of the prohibition.
Bottom line, Even if something is bad for us, we still have the freedoms to do it, because we are free!
The American people REALLY need to learn from the past. Prohibitions, especially of substances and actions pertaining to what an individual does, do not work, and only cause more harm to society and the people involved. Prohibitions are simply counterproductive, and do greater INJUSTICE, than good. Why criminalize people when they did nothing wrong?
It goes against American freedoms. It's easy to say "lets ban it", but if you ban it, you create criminals, you harm people who did nothing wrong.
The fact of the matter is that this country was founded on the idea that the individual can make his our her own decisions about his or her own body. just becasue crack is legal, doesn't mean that I'm going to go out and hit the pipe. We have been drilled abou the dangers of drugs our whole live. We know whats good for us and whats bad for us, and we know how to make our own decisions.
prohibition doesnt work and it is unconstitutional. the government should keep its ugly face out our lives. george washington was a huge marijuana grower. so why should it be illegal? in the original constitution there was nothing said about our intake. we should have kept it that way. we should be able to take whatever we want.
the government was made for the people and all i see it doing is going against the people. fuck religion, war and prohibition.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
cigarettes should not be prohibited, and marijuana should not be made leagle, cigarettes do nothing, and pot can make the user a danger to others. i smoke pot, so its weird to say that about it.
So?!?!? Alcohol can make the user a danger to others, you retard. At least marijuana is easier to quit, unlike the viciously addictive nicotine. I believe the point of the video is that neither alcohol, nicotine, or marijuana is good for anyone, but that to make sone legal and the others illegal is ridiculous.
marijuana is illegal and everyone still does it if they want it. if cigarettes were illegal no one would be bothering to get addicted to that shit. marijuana can contribute to the arts and "open up your mind" etc but cigarettes contribute nothing. i'm pretty anti government opression but a lot less people would be dying young if you weren't able to pick cigs up any time you go to get gas or pick up some groceries
It aint necessary to ban cigarets. Just unambiguously permit, authorize and promote a quarter-inch inner-diameter screened-crater miniature anti-overdose smoking utensil that provides 25-mg. servings, replacing the 700-mg. hot-burning overdose nicotine cigaret and hot-burning wide-bowl smoking devices. User simply breaks 1/28th off the tip of a cigaret, puts it in the crater, and sucks very slow through a long flexible extension tube. Bye bye overdose.
There's nothing prohibitive about prohibition. Prohibition just means more drug dealers in our schools and residential areas. What a way to protect youth.
There are already visible effects of these anti-tobacco laws in the loss of tax revenue and the blackmarket tobacco trading from the south. I live in North Carolina and I know plenty of people who ship thousands of dollars in cigarettes (illegally) to friends and relatives in the north because in a lot of cases cigarettes are twice as much, if not more, than cigarettes in the tobacco regions. Pennsylvania and New York are losing a lot of tax money to this.
I think a bunch of people missed what he was saying. He was saying that everything should be legal. Look up the guy and the organization he belongs to and you will know what I'm talking about.
Great points. Following the logic of prohibition Burger King food should be criminalized too. Too bad it's supposed to be a free country and prohibition completely goes against the constitution.
Nice! You managed to make a counter argument without actually addressing ANYTHING he said. First you accused him of living an alternative lifestyle, then you simply labeled everything he said as bullshit. No need to have to form a rational argument now because everyone knows that ad hominem attacks make sense.
You know whats scary? I don't think smoking tobacco or any other drug will ever stop. Until people stop caring about what other people think and start concerning themselves with themselves, people wont stop smoking tobacco. No matter how many lives are taken, no matter how amny cancers come of it, they will keep on, because they think it's going to make them look cool.
Look forward to the future, Instead of thinking about those who smoke now, think about stopping our new generation from starting the costly, death-inducing habit.
why would u defend the #1 cause of death in the country? its lethalness is second only to heroin and cocaine. it should be illegal and to take the public mind away from it, drugs that are actually practically harmless in recreational doses should be legalized. such as cannabis, ecstasy, lsd and others. whose gonna complain about tobacco then?
guitarhero811, WOW that comment obviously had no education behind it. Did you not listen to what he said? The "forbidden fruit" part? Come on man.
You should probably watch the whole video before commenting on it. Ya fuckin retard. Making it illegal will do the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of taking the public's mind off of it...
natural tobacco isnt bad its just when our stupid government mandates that all tobacco farmers put an insecticide that breakes down into radioactive crap (im not sure what it is youll have to look it up on wikipedia) then it turns bad....you can actually hallucinate off of uncured tobacco (natural)...cigs dip and all that other stuff cant be criminalised because too many are addicted and would turn out like alcohol prohibition
If they made tobacco illegal I think I'd go off the deep end... Hell I'm already pissed about the seatbelt thing. Who the hell do they think they are to tell me whether or not I should wear a bloody seatbelt!!! That might just be a state thing though... still bull
so you dont fly out your windsheild into the other car killing them....and you wouldnt want your mom to not wear a seatbelt in a crash cause its legal not to
Tobacco will never become illegal, it makes too much money for our economy to be taken out.
If this guy is taking about SMOKING TOBACCO, thats one thing. If, lets say it did become ilegal... nasal snuff is the answer. Cheap, and has no evidence to cause cancer... yet not too many people know that NASAL snuff has been around for longer than other tobacco forms...
Simply because its the single most effective way to destress and decompress for millions of people simple. This bullshit methods of yoga mediation and all this other shit will never surpass, how a cigerette can calm you in three minutes. Simple. If some1 can give me a chemical means to radically reduce stress in three minutes then i will not smoke again.
At the begining he talked about how cigarettes are bad, about how the majority of people dislike them. Then at the end he talked about how stupid it would be to outlaw them.. about how many more cops we would need to enforce it..
I personally think tobacco is crap... but I'll leave this country if people become crazy enough to outlaw that as well... -_- we should be on a path that accepts and allows more freedom of personal issues... not more bannings
Prohibition funds the gangs you idiot. He's trying to take away their income, so it's a bit silly to say he has helped create them. You my friend, are the one with contradictions coming out of your mouth. If you can actually point out a particular contradiction from this guy then please post it.
you just proved my point. prohibition funds gangs by creating a black market. you can't take away their income if you leave drug production and distribution in the hands of criminals instead of regulating it through legal legitimate channels.
then for him to say that tobacco prohibition would create negative consequences just makes me laugh. because i'm still a criminal for smoking a different plant. and that is the contradiction i'm talking about.
Why are you telling this to me? I agree with you, I'm anti all drug prohibition. So is this guy, he's anti prohibition. I'm not sure wot u r arguing about.
DPA is the nation's leading organization working to end the war on drugs. We envision new drug policies based on science, compassion, health and human rights and a just society in which the fears, prejudices and punitive prohibitions of today are no more.
It's funny that you mention the prohibition of alcohol. See what happened with that? Its even easier to grow tobacco than it is to distill liquor. As a word of advise, you shouldn't ever say to do something without thinking about the consequences. If you do think about the consequences you'll know that quitting tobacco has serious health effects which need to be managed, making cigarettes illegal wont help that. What happened to America being a land of freedom?
personally i think you're a faggot.. its up to the people whether or not they wanna kill themselves by smoking.. im all for being nice and tryen to make everything fair for everybody but this is ridiculous.. grow up, quit wasting your time, and find more important issues to bring forward..
Second hand smoke kills approximately 43,000 people a year. The ban isn't just because smoking is bad for you but its bad the innocent that are affected by it. I would agree if those that were affected by smoking were only those that smoked. If you take into factor the amount of money used to pay all the healthcare bills associated with tobacco the amount spent on a police force to control tobacco would still amount to much less.
what about vehicle emiisions? maybe you should just move all the prohibitionists into an island with a bubble on top so that you'd have to brathe all youre emissions, we make far worse damage to the planet than cigarretes to us.
I'll agree with you one thing we do a lot of damage to our planet. But everything else you stated holds no weight, you can't compare vehicle emissions to second hand smoke because you don't have cars in bars, clubs, closed areas just running. You don't see idle cars any where in enclosed areas where masses of people gather. I wouldn't consider people prohibitionists just because they know the scientific evidence and give that greater weight than the cries given by the ignorant.
well yeah I agree with you on that one, smoking shouldnt be allowed indoors in most places. I'm aware that allot of people cant stand the smell, and too many people throw the butts anywhere. I'd say make somple areas strictly non-smoking and others smoking, like a giant restaurant.
There is a big problem with that... its not just the smell that people don't like its the fact that its harmful to them. An just making areas smoking or non smoking doesn't do the trick because it doesn't ventilate. It spreads and reaches equilibrium throughout the room. Even if the restaurants have ventillation, there is no ventillation technology out right now that does a good enough job to prevent the effects of indoor second hand smoke.
smoking/non smoking restaurants alltogether instead of just areas would work or 2 diferant dining rooms. keeping the smoke out of the non smoking room is as simple as keeping a higher air pressure than the other room, thats what they use for building fires.
I'm from New Zealand, and here smoking as been completely banned inside bars and resturants. In other words if you want to smoke you have to go outside. I'm a smoker, but I think it is also a very good measure for the govt. to take and agree with it completely. It doesn't limit freedom, it just provides a more pleasent enviroment for non-smokers.
yeah, but do you want to be a criminal for smoking? or how about the planned gradual reduction of nicotine and increase in price planned to phase out smoking in 20 years? does that limit freedom?
smoking in private, fine. i hate smoking in public anyways. but do you want to pay more and more for less and less nicotine in your tobacco? because its coming.
It is estimated that there are 3 - 5 million people seriously addicted to illegal drugs in this country. Yet they spend well over $40 billion a year on law enforcement, that is not including the cost of prosecution or incarceration. That money would be much better spent on health care and education. After all it was education and not law enforcement that reduced smoking by 50% in the last 10 years.
We in America pull drugs (legal ones) off of the counters for killing a few thousand people, yet your saying that even though big tobacco kills millions thats ok because it would cost to much to uphold the law. The law is there to deter do you honestly think that it wouldn't serve as a deterent. The laws are in place to protect society, how much do you think we spend a year on healthcare for those that are affected by tobacco?? In total it costs $130,570,000,000
I asked most of my co-workers today why they don't use drugs, There were many reasons but curiously none of them said "the law". the law certainly doesn't stop them from getting drugs. Because of prohibition drugs are very available with no regulations or age limits. It doesn't make sense to put tobacco in the black market where it will be available to everyone at any age without any regulations. Like I said before, we reduced smoking by 50% without ever locking up a tobacco dealer or consumer.
I think a step in the right direction would be to eliminate ALL advertising for ALL drugs including alcohol and limit packaging to black and white only.
We don't pull drugs for killing people. Asprin and tylenol kill up to 20,000 ppl a year. Aspartame has very serious health consiquences. The third leading cause of death in this country is doctors over, under or mis-prescribing drugs and other "treatments". No one is launching media campaigns against these things.
The safest way to imbibe nicotine is with a nicotine vaporizor. There are no toxic fumes, no smell, and so far no links to cancer, but you can only get these with a prescription. It is curious that the most deadly way to get nicotine is the easiest and cheapest to get. Consider that medical science has not cured ANYTHING in over 50 years they have only developed very expensive treatments. If you look at the big picture it seems that cigarettes are still around for a reason.
Excuse me did you just say that we "Dont Pull Drugs" that is just wrong. I'll give you one big example have you ever heard of the drug called Vioxx? You are just looking at the united states healthcare system now which has many problems of its own. We are ranked 37th out of 191 countries in the world according to WHO but ranked #1 in expenses you are misconstrewing to different catagories.
So what, They pulled a few drugs that have health risks. The point is there are hundreds of other drugs that are toxic too and are not even considered. Asprin & Tylenol KILL 20,000 ppl a year. If you look at the big picture you will see that our health care system is a total sham, no cures anymore, only treatments. You can't trust the FDA, They approve aspartame (deadly), and make it illegal to advertise Stevia as a sweetener even though that is all that it is.

All drug laws should be dropped, all drug enforcement agencies shut down and government run drug labs should be opened to provide safe products with instructions and warnings. These drugs are then sold at a reasonable price and a profit for the government. These steps will stamp out drug related theft and crime, overdoses and save the government billions on law enforcement.
yeah u would, because if cannabis was legal it would be extremely cheap and the risk of growing it illegaly would be similar to growing your own tobacco, its worth avoiding the legal ramifications
the penalties for producing massive ammounts of tobbaco is more than the penalty for growing marijuana, the only thing is there is an option for a fine to cover a large part of your jail sentence with tobbaco.
The alcohol and tobbaco industry push hard to keep marijuana illegal as well
No I wouldnt, because WHEN cannabis becomes legal it will be available all over the place and since its production cost its very very cheap every non-stupid consumer would grow their own. Good luck to the government in trying to collect a penny from me in cannabis taxes (they already tax it through prohibition), it would be extremely difficult to tax since its so easy to grow and you dont need the quantities needed for commercial tobacco operations.
my grandfather grew 5 of his own tobbaco plants at a time and provided enough for him and a lot of his friends. also tobbaco plants are one of the most resiliant plants around and dont need much water or minerals to survive
if marijuana become legal companies would mass produce it and sell it under brand names with labeled strengths and types, growing it would attract huge fines or jail time. The same amount of people that grow their own tobbaco would grow their own weed, which is about .001%
I guess your grandfather smoked in a pipe, serious nicotine addicts need 1-2 packs a day so add up the net weight needed for a years supply..... a "pothead" might need 2-4 grams a day of top grade cannabis (2-4 joints).
WHEN cannabis becomes legal people will grow their own as 1 plant properly grown outdoors can yield up to 250 grams in 4-5 months so 2 plants is enough for a years supply, why pay when you can grown?.
Believe what you will, I for one will NEVER buy a P.M. joint.
people who talk like you just fuel the drugwar, think smart and logicaly not just say i disagree with no back up
If us pot smokers want the government to stop throwing us in jail we need to give them an insentive, all they want is money so by allowing them to tax the drugs we dont have to go to court
if they tax it penalties will be imposed for growing without a license. You can do what you want and end up in jail, the rest of us hate having to deal with police and would rather get high
So I fuel the drug war??? LMFAO!!! get off the high horse kid it is YOU who needs to think "smart and logicaly" as I have provided you with plenty of "back up".
Do what you want but dont expect others to follow your lead especially if you already are willing to surrender unconditionally.
The gov. has trown plenty people to jail and you are ready to pay them off? dude this is a war we are fighting! the gov. is the one who MUST pay compensation to those prisioners of war!.
ONCE cannabis is legal (you dont seem to even believe on it) it should be completely license/tax free for at least 71 years (it was made federally illegal in the usa in 1937). I doubt you have been a prisioner of the WOSD (war on some drugs) if you had maybe you would think differently instead of capitulating to keep getting fucked over by the gov.
Theres no way in hell I´ll ever give a cent of my money to the gov on a cannabis tax, once its legal ill grow and give it away for free.
AHAHA i have surrendered? sure my 3 plants i grow in my closet are just like a white flag arent they
You think the government is going to pay compensation to people in prison for marijuana? AHAHA wow what rock have you been living under
thats another reason the government wont legalize growing, too many people are behind bars for growing their own. If it was only allowed to be sold by licensed vendors then the ex prisoners wouldnt be able too sue since it is still illegal
AHAHA people who have spent 10+ years wrongly accused of murder have trouble getting compo u think they will pay the thousands in for weed
The only way marijuana will be legalized is if it is sold by licensed vendors and taxed. Saying 'well i still disagree' just prolongs the drug war
Do you realise how stupid you are? you are protesting against them selling legal marijuana, meaning you can just say i bought this from the shop even if you grew it and not get busted.
Yes you surrendered the moment you dared postulate that the gov has a right to collect taxes on a plant that they demonized.
Obviously I dont think the gov. is willing to pay compensation but WE ought to force them to it, how? by fighting the good fight and not giving up on it just to "get high", you need to work on your reading comprehension skills.
The gov. wont legalize it because it is a big business on many levelS, but it is the people who mustfightfortruthandjusticeFIGHTTILLTHEEND.
i didnt say that the gov is in the right to tax it. In my opinion everyone who is in jail or even got a conviction for marijuana should be paid compensation.
However i live in the real world, i know how governments work and im not stupid enough to base my argument soley on my own principles
i said THE ONLY WAY we can stop the punishment of smokers is if the government gets to control it and make money off it.
'fight the good fight' what are you talking about. How are you fighting it? all i see is more and more people in jail everyday
Your sole argument is 'I wanna smoke weed', who the hell do you think is going to listen to you? if growing became legal they would hve to pay compo to every grower in jail, it will NEVER happen no matter how much you believe in it
And yes i have never been to prison, i've grown for a long time but im not stupid enough to get caught, never even had a possesion
How am I fighting? educating myself and others, writing letters, debating prohibitionist, being out of the closet, selling pro-legalization tshirts to fund a website, marching in leaglization rallies, helping friends get out of jail and much more.
Where did you get the idea my sole argument is 'I wanna smoke weed'? fucking liar I asked you not to put words in my mouth you coward.
People already are growing virtually legally in some places so get your head out of your ass.
"THE ONLY WAY" in YOUR opinion, I and countless other wont EVER agree to give a penny to them after all the suffering and corruption that the WOSD has caused to millions. You care about "getting high" I care about what is right and no I wont sell out my principles to buy temporary safety....
Keep on living the real world and I´ll make my best to shape it into something better.
So im stupid and dumb for not agreeing with you or for having my own educated opinion? damn kid you ought to practice humility and respect others.
Now try and tell me where do I protest against anyone selling "legal marijuana" dont you fucking dare put words in my mouth boy.
Cannabis (marijuana is slang) will be difficult to legalize as it will open the doors for other drugs to be also legalized and virtually anyone can grow it so the difficulties to tax it would be HUGE.
'fight the good fight' what are you talking about. How are you fighting it? all i see is more and more people in jail everyday
Your sole argument is 'I wanna smoke weed', who the hell do you think is going to listen to you? if growing became legal they would hve to pay compo to every grower in jail, it will NEVER happen no matter how much you believe in it
And yes i have never been to prison, i've grown for a long time but im not stupid enough to get caught, never even had a possesion
your 'educated' opinion, LOL i love how anyone who says that is always so far up their own ass its not funny.
How are you shaping it better? what steps have you taken? i see no progress all i see is you whining and stamping your feet around having a tantrum about how unfair the law is
Tantrums dont work after 2 years old dude, you gotta start thinking how can i get what i want through persuasion, how can we stop the laws without costing the gov money and giving them a reason too
Yes my "educated opinion" that you dont share it doesnt mean I dont have it, simple as that.
How am I shaping it? in many more ways than you could imagine or dream. You see no progress because you are locked in the closet with your plants.
I agree tantrums dont work and neither does pretending you are the holder of all truth and wisdow sorry to burst your bubble but theres a world ouside your closet and your extremely narrow opinions.

the bottom line is that Tobacco and Marijuana are one in the same and should be treated as such, our polar stances are hypocritical blasphemy, and neither should be legal, it be like J walking, community service and stuff not jail, except for huge amounts and crops
desertdude1234 3 months ago
@desertdude1234 Relating marijuana and tobacco is like relating petty theft and armed robbery. fuck off. No one has ever died from marijuana. Millions die from tobacco every year. "one of the same"? kiss my fuckin ass.
lukyc101 3 months ago
@lukyc101 Your moronic idiocy is a disservice to humanity, personally I think Marijuana and Tobacco should be decriminalized, marijuana needs to become slightly less illegal and tobacco needs to become slightly more illegal. For this country to let 50 million smokers poison 250 million non smokers is bullshit when your arresting and jailing marijuana smokers. Either way I'll still fuck your mothers mouth after I put you in a brazing bull and eat your soul medium rare u bible thumping faggot.
desertdude1234 3 months ago

Maybe this is why America is going down the shitter. We need to go by our Constitution!

Martial024 2 years ago
Well I could go on and on what our government as done in the past 30 years or so that is completely wrong and of which they have no right to even do so.
Obviously someone hasn't studied up on their history.
But not only are they not supposed to be making whatever laws they see fit, they aren't supposed to be telling us what to do with our lives. Our government was formed to protect liberty, that's what alot of people have killed and died for, and what most Americans are now throwing away.

You are a stupid gringo America is a continent and not a country moron.
podriaserpeor 3 years ago
If you really want to get technical America all by itself is actually someone's name. There is no continent called America - it is NORTH America, or SOUTH America. All superducky said was America. Without the words before it, this could mean: North America (continent), South America (continent), or the United States of America (COUNTRY).
NELHAOTEC 2 years ago
North and south, east and west are cardinal directions not a real name. America is a continent and not a country... that is quite obvious to most of us that live in the continent, I bet you are the kinda guy that cannot point Iraq in a map. All the money your country spends in war should be spent educating you people, but sadly for you those up top need you to be as dumb as possible for easier brainwashing and indoctrination.
podriaserpeor 1 year ago
America was the name of a map maker...this is first and foremost. Look on any globe and you will see the continents named with their appropriate "cardinal directions" as part of their name. If America was a single continent all by itself then there would only be 6 continents as opposed to 7. If you wish to insult my command of world geography you may want to choose a smaller and more obscure country than Iraq.
NELHAOTEC 1 year ago

NikoKun 3 years ago
The American people REALLY need to learn from the past. Prohibitions, especially of substances and actions pertaining to what an individual does, do not work, and only cause more harm to society and the people involved. Prohibitions are simply counterproductive, and do greater INJUSTICE, than good. Why criminalize people when they did nothing wrong?
It goes against American freedoms. It's easy to say "lets ban it", but if you ban it, you create criminals, you harm people who did nothing wrong.

prohibition doesnt work and it is unconstitutional. the government should keep its ugly face out our lives. george washington was a huge marijuana grower. so why should it be illegal? in the original constitution there was nothing said about our intake. we should have kept it that way. we should be able to take whatever we want.

Olly420 4 years ago
you just proved my point. prohibition funds gangs by creating a black market. you can't take away their income if you leave drug production and distribution in the hands of criminals instead of regulating it through legal legitimate channels.
then for him to say that tobacco prohibition would create negative consequences just makes me laugh. because i'm still a criminal for smoking a different plant. and that is the contradiction i'm talking about.

Second hand smoke kills approximately 43,000 people a year. The ban isn't just because smoking is bad for you but its bad the innocent that are affected by it. I would agree if those that were affected by smoking were only those that smoked. If you take into factor the amount of money used to pay all the healthcare bills associated with tobacco the amount spent on a police force to control tobacco would still amount to much less.

You don't see idle cars any where in enclosed areas where masses of people gather. I wouldn't consider people prohibitionists just because they know the scientific evidence and give that greater weight than the cries given by the ignorant.
sp1dermanI7 4 years ago
well yeah I agree with you on that one, smoking shouldnt be allowed indoors in most places. I'm aware that allot of people cant stand the smell, and too many people throw the butts anywhere. I'd say make somple areas strictly non-smoking and others smoking, like a giant restaurant.
ramboman88 4 years ago
There is a big problem with that... its not just the smell that people don't like its the fact that its harmful to them. An just making areas smoking or non smoking doesn't do the trick because it doesn't ventilate. It spreads and reaches equilibrium throughout the room. Even if the restaurants have ventillation, there is no ventillation technology out right now that does a good enough job to prevent the effects of indoor second hand smoke.
sp1dermanI7 4 years ago
smoking/non smoking restaurants alltogether instead of just areas would work or 2 diferant dining rooms. keeping the smoke out of the non smoking room is as simple as keeping a higher air pressure than the other room, thats what they use for building fires.
ramboman88 4 years ago
I'm from New Zealand, and here smoking as been completely banned inside bars and resturants. In other words if you want to smoke you have to go outside. I'm a smoker, but I think it is also a very good measure for the govt. to take and agree with it completely. It doesn't limit freedom, it just provides a more pleasent enviroment for non-smokers.
Olly420 4 years ago
yeah, but do you want to be a criminal for smoking? or how about the planned gradual reduction of nicotine and increase in price planned to phase out smoking in 20 years? does that limit freedom?
smoking in private, fine. i hate smoking in public anyways. but do you want to pay more and more for less and less nicotine in your tobacco? because its coming.

It is estimated that there are 3 - 5 million people seriously addicted to illegal drugs in this country. Yet they spend well over $40 billion a year on law enforcement, that is not including the cost of prosecution or incarceration. That money would be much better spent on health care and education. After all it was education and not law enforcement that reduced smoking by 50% in the last 10 years.
bustherh 4 years ago
We in America pull drugs (legal ones) off of the counters for killing a few thousand people, yet your saying that even though big tobacco kills millions thats ok because it would cost to much to uphold the law. The law is there to deter do you honestly think that it wouldn't serve as a deterent. The laws are in place to protect society, how much do you think we spend a year on healthcare for those that are affected by tobacco?? In total it costs $130,570,000,000
sp1dermanI7 4 years ago
I asked most of my co-workers today why they don't use drugs, There were many reasons but curiously none of them said "the law". the law certainly doesn't stop them from getting drugs. Because of prohibition drugs are very available with no regulations or age limits. It doesn't make sense to put tobacco in the black market where it will be available to everyone at any age without any regulations. Like I said before, we reduced smoking by 50% without ever locking up a tobacco dealer or consumer.

look for yourself, at medical tripod . com / cost .htm
sp1dermanI7 4 years ago
I think a step in the right direction would be to eliminate ALL advertising for ALL drugs including alcohol and limit packaging to black and white only.
We don't pull drugs for killing people. Asprin and tylenol kill up to 20,000 ppl a year. Aspartame has very serious health consiquences. The third leading cause of death in this country is doctors over, under or mis-prescribing drugs and other "treatments". No one is launching media campaigns against these things.
bustherh 4 years ago
The safest way to imbibe nicotine is with a nicotine vaporizor. There are no toxic fumes, no smell, and so far no links to cancer, but you can only get these with a prescription. It is curious that the most deadly way to get nicotine is the easiest and cheapest to get. Consider that medical science has not cured ANYTHING in over 50 years they have only developed very expensive treatments. If you look at the big picture it seems that cigarettes are still around for a reason.
bustherh 4 years ago
Excuse me did you just say that we "Dont Pull Drugs" that is just wrong. I'll give you one big example have you ever heard of the drug called Vioxx? You are just looking at the united states healthcare system now which has many problems of its own. We are ranked 37th out of 191 countries in the world according to WHO but ranked #1 in expenses you are misconstrewing to different catagories.
sp1dermanI7 4 years ago
So what, They pulled a few drugs that have health risks. The point is there are hundreds of other drugs that are toxic too and are not even considered. Asprin & Tylenol KILL 20,000 ppl a year. If you look at the big picture you will see that our health care system is a total sham, no cures anymore, only treatments. You can't trust the FDA, They approve aspartame (deadly), and make it illegal to advertise Stevia as a sweetener even though that is all that it is.

its two thousand not twenty thousands, but its true man, bunch of crooks

Second hand smoke kills approximately 43,000 people a year. The ban isn't just because smoking is bad for you but its bad the innocent that are affected by it. I would agree if those that were affected by smoking were only those that smoked. If you take into factor the amount of money used to pay all the healthcare bills associated with tobacco the amount spent on a police force to control tobacco would still amount to much less.

Ill NEVER pay taxes on cannabis once its legal. First they get to lock me down and then I have to pay them for it? FUCK NO!.
podriaserpeor 3 years ago
yeah u would, because if cannabis was legal it would be extremely cheap and the risk of growing it illegaly would be similar to growing your own tobacco, its worth avoiding the legal ramifications
the penalties for producing massive ammounts of tobbaco is more than the penalty for growing marijuana, the only thing is there is an option for a fine to cover a large part of your jail sentence with tobbaco.
The alcohol and tobbaco industry push hard to keep marijuana illegal as well
imluvinyourmum 3 years ago
No I wouldnt, because WHEN cannabis becomes legal it will be available all over the place and since its production cost its very very cheap every non-stupid consumer would grow their own. Good luck to the government in trying to collect a penny from me in cannabis taxes (they already tax it through prohibition), it would be extremely difficult to tax since its so easy to grow and you dont need the quantities needed for commercial tobacco operations.
podriaserpeor 3 years ago
my grandfather grew 5 of his own tobbaco plants at a time and provided enough for him and a lot of his friends. also tobbaco plants are one of the most resiliant plants around and dont need much water or minerals to survive
if marijuana become legal companies would mass produce it and sell it under brand names with labeled strengths and types, growing it would attract huge fines or jail time. The same amount of people that grow their own tobbaco would grow their own weed, which is about .001%
imluvinyourmum 3 years ago
I guess your grandfather smoked in a pipe, serious nicotine addicts need 1-2 packs a day so add up the net weight needed for a years supply..... a "pothead" might need 2-4 grams a day of top grade cannabis (2-4 joints).
WHEN cannabis becomes legal people will grow their own as 1 plant properly grown outdoors can yield up to 250 grams in 4-5 months so 2 plants is enough for a years supply, why pay when you can grown?.
Believe what you will, I for one will NEVER buy a P.M. joint.
podriaserpeor 3 years ago
people who talk like you just fuel the drugwar, think smart and logicaly not just say i disagree with no back up
If us pot smokers want the government to stop throwing us in jail we need to give them an insentive, all they want is money so by allowing them to tax the drugs we dont have to go to court
if they tax it penalties will be imposed for growing without a license. You can do what you want and end up in jail, the rest of us hate having to deal with police and would rather get high
imluvinyourmum 3 years ago
So I fuel the drug war??? LMFAO!!! get off the high horse kid it is YOU who needs to think "smart and logicaly" as I have provided you with plenty of "back up".
Do what you want but dont expect others to follow your lead especially if you already are willing to surrender unconditionally.
The gov. has trown plenty people to jail and you are ready to pay them off? dude this is a war we are fighting! the gov. is the one who MUST pay compensation to those prisioners of war!.
podriaserpeor 3 years ago
ONCE cannabis is legal (you dont seem to even believe on it) it should be completely license/tax free for at least 71 years (it was made federally illegal in the usa in 1937). I doubt you have been a prisioner of the WOSD (war on some drugs) if you had maybe you would think differently instead of capitulating to keep getting fucked over by the gov.
Theres no way in hell I´ll ever give a cent of my money to the gov on a cannabis tax, once its legal ill grow and give it away for free.
podriaserpeor 3 years ago
AHAHA i have surrendered? sure my 3 plants i grow in my closet are just like a white flag arent they
You think the government is going to pay compensation to people in prison for marijuana? AHAHA wow what rock have you been living under
thats another reason the government wont legalize growing, too many people are behind bars for growing their own. If it was only allowed to be sold by licensed vendors then the ex prisoners wouldnt be able too sue since it is still illegal
imluvinyourmum 3 years ago
AHAHA people who have spent 10+ years wrongly accused of murder have trouble getting compo u think they will pay the thousands in for weed
The only way marijuana will be legalized is if it is sold by licensed vendors and taxed. Saying 'well i still disagree' just prolongs the drug war
Do you realise how stupid you are? you are protesting against them selling legal marijuana, meaning you can just say i bought this from the shop even if you grew it and not get busted.
my god you are dumb
imluvinyourmum 3 years ago
Yes you surrendered the moment you dared postulate that the gov has a right to collect taxes on a plant that they demonized.
Obviously I dont think the gov. is willing to pay compensation but WE ought to force them to it, how? by fighting the good fight and not giving up on it just to "get high", you need to work on your reading comprehension skills.
The gov. wont legalize it because it is a big business on many levelS, but it is the people who mustfightfortruthandjusticeFIGHTTILLTHEEND.
podriaserpeor 3 years ago
i didnt say that the gov is in the right to tax it. In my opinion everyone who is in jail or even got a conviction for marijuana should be paid compensation.
However i live in the real world, i know how governments work and im not stupid enough to base my argument soley on my own principles
i said THE ONLY WAY we can stop the punishment of smokers is if the government gets to control it and make money off it.
imluvinyourmum 3 years ago
'fight the good fight' what are you talking about. How are you fighting it? all i see is more and more people in jail everyday
Your sole argument is 'I wanna smoke weed', who the hell do you think is going to listen to you? if growing became legal they would hve to pay compo to every grower in jail, it will NEVER happen no matter how much you believe in it
And yes i have never been to prison, i've grown for a long time but im not stupid enough to get caught, never even had a possesion
imluvinyourmum 3 years ago
How am I fighting? educating myself and others, writing letters, debating prohibitionist, being out of the closet, selling pro-legalization tshirts to fund a website, marching in leaglization rallies, helping friends get out of jail and much more.
Where did you get the idea my sole argument is 'I wanna smoke weed'? fucking liar I asked you not to put words in my mouth you coward.
People already are growing virtually legally in some places so get your head out of your ass.
podriaserpeor 3 years ago
"THE ONLY WAY" in YOUR opinion, I and countless other wont EVER agree to give a penny to them after all the suffering and corruption that the WOSD has caused to millions. You care about "getting high" I care about what is right and no I wont sell out my principles to buy temporary safety....
Keep on living the real world and I´ll make my best to shape it into something better.
podriaserpeor 3 years ago
So im stupid and dumb for not agreeing with you or for having my own educated opinion? damn kid you ought to practice humility and respect others.
Now try and tell me where do I protest against anyone selling "legal marijuana" dont you fucking dare put words in my mouth boy.
Cannabis (marijuana is slang) will be difficult to legalize as it will open the doors for other drugs to be also legalized and virtually anyone can grow it so the difficulties to tax it would be HUGE.
podriaserpeor 3 years ago

your 'educated' opinion, LOL i love how anyone who says that is always so far up their own ass its not funny.
How are you shaping it better? what steps have you taken? i see no progress all i see is you whining and stamping your feet around having a tantrum about how unfair the law is
Tantrums dont work after 2 years old dude, you gotta start thinking how can i get what i want through persuasion, how can we stop the laws without costing the gov money and giving them a reason too
imluvinyourmum 3 years ago
Yes my "educated opinion" that you dont share it doesnt mean I dont have it, simple as that.
How am I shaping it? in many more ways than you could imagine or dream. You see no progress because you are locked in the closet with your plants.
I agree tantrums dont work and neither does pretending you are the holder of all truth and wisdow sorry to burst your bubble but theres a world ouside your closet and your extremely narrow opinions.
