  • I agree, Herbalife sells over priced junk. I do my own research on a product rather than buy into a company's hype. When I saw that the main ingredient in Herbalife's 'health shake' was cookie crumbs I knew something was wrong. Their 'energy' products weren't healthy, they are full of caffeine-like stimulants! That's why you can't take them after noon. They may have very strict manufacturing standards, but that doesn't say anything about the quality, or wisdom, of their formulations.

  • FYI - MLM products generally are marked up 7-10 times it's value in order to pay all the people who get commissions on the sale of it. You can get a better quality product for a fraction of the cost. A a MLM company who buys their vitamins for $8.75 a bottle and sells them for $75 for a months supply!)

I am stunned that Dr Ignarro would align himself with a MLM company. If you really want to get the 'good stuff' try NutraBio . They provide tons of info & research so you'll be educated.

  • @ElisabethDenaro --- If it required FDA approval for your supplement needs, a bottle of ginger extract would cost you a days' pay! I don't want, or need, DC bureaucrats to tell me what science, and centuries of history, have already proven. An educated consumer will weed out the hype companies and poor quality products. We have the internet and blogs like tis one, to share the truth about the fraudulent claims and substandard products. We don't need a supplement Nanny like the FDA.

  • @magicmanny yes it does it works wonders remember it improves blood flow major key for healing injuries it makes me feel like I'm 10 years old and relaxed omg!!! Try it L-arginine is the truth

  • @1977Brehon super!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Does anyone know if nitric oxide can help the body to heal itself from injuries?

  • Herbalife follows all the FDA rules and labeling laws. Recently the FDA did an inspection at an Herbalife facility and said they wished more companies complies and followed the practices that Herbalife does. Just because we are not sold in stores doesnt meant we do not comply. Herbalife is trusted in over 72 countries and is publically traded on the NYSE. They use distributors because it is important for people to buy the right thing for their needs. We provide individual coaching etc.

  • On the downside of not having FDA regulation. A VERY BIG DOWNSIDE!

Products that arent regulated by FDA can put anything they want on a label. Try to find how much caffeine is in fat burners today. One product will have 100 mg and the other 500mg, BUT both say it is "equal to a cup of leading coffee, and neither tell you the mg.

A good example where i work, Muscle milk was tested for the sugar per serving. We found it has 3 times more than what the label said.

Thats why do your own research

  • Also products in health industry are constantly changing, due to sales, competition, new evidence, complaints, etc. and every time they modify it, they have to go through the FDA process again, greatly increasing cost. FDA approval is good for products that won't change.

Also herbal remedies and cures aren't regulated FDA either. We know some like Ginseng are good, but can't prove 100% of time that it works oneveryone.

FDA approval is not good for supplement industry. BUT do your own research

  • I don't think some of you know the part the FDA plays. To get FDA approval most products would take years to reach the public, and end up costing alot more. And to get FDA approval you need to have your product be very specific. Most supps have a specific goal, like NO, but claim 4 or 5 other benefits but might not work on everyone. So they'd have to remove those from the packaging. So you may not buy something that would help you because you didn't know it could cause FDA approval

  • spanish please T-T

  • This guy is a charlatan

  • @sam7iam

You sir, have no sense of respect. First of all, you need to learn how to read. I was saying that herbalife products DO NOT contain any chemicals like for example the FDA approved products that everyone buys. They are all completely natural and are developed by scientists all around the world in labs and prestigious institutes. These products all come from plants natural remedies that an ignorant person like YOU wouldn't know about. Before calling someone stupid get your facts right.

  • @sam7iam You seriously have to learn how to understand other peoples opinion and HOW TO READ. Calling someone stupid on youtube shows just how immature and ignorant you are so a word of advice before you type something read it back to yourself and listen to yourself cause you just might end up shooting yourself in the foot and make yourself look stupid. I've been taking the products for 8 years & studying its contents so how DARE YOU CALL ME STUPID! Keep your childish remarks to yourself

  • the translation in Spanish please

  • herbalife

  • I will stick to being natural

natural diet and move move move move with sunshine and plenty of water that is it

  • try just getting in food- walnuts, brazilnuts, peanuts, some seafoods, milk, milk products and especially soybeans and chickpeas.

  • How come Dr. Ignarro didn't have his supplements evaluated by FDA? When u go see a doc and ask about some supplements which r not approved by FDA, doct usually says it's risky and better to avoid everything what was not approved by FDA. Even Dr.OZ said on one of his shows that whenever u use anything what was not approved by FDA, u basically taking a huge risk. I am sure Dr. Ignarro is able to afford FDA evaluation, so why not to do that and make it "safe" ?And why Herbalife?

  • Nutritional supplements by definition are not approved by the FDA. It is impossible to have the FDA approve a supplement, and if they did then it would be considered a drug.

Dr. Ignarro simply recommends consuming Arginine, Citrulline, and Antioxidants, all of which are found naturally in foods.

  • Ok, but why his supplements are being sold through Herbalife? Why not to sell it everywhere in drug stores or even Walmart?

  • Walmart, drugstores, and grocery stores all sell the ingredients for the supplement regimen that Dr. Ignarro recommends: a combination of Arginine, Citrulline, and Antioxidants. This is not proprietary or patented.

Herbalife is a science-based nutrition company with around 2 million distributors in over 70 countries. Herbalife, then, is an effective vehicle for getting nutrition into the hands of millions of people, and is no different from GNC or NBTY in this respect.

  • Herbalife products are NOT DRUGS AND DO NOT CONTAIN CHEMICALS! That's why they are not in stores. They are natural and they follow FDA regulations. They are all natural with only 2 products that do in fact contain caffine and it says so on the labels. These products are developed by scientists from all over the world. Compare herbalife products and products like fruit loops and slim fast that are FDA approved and have been recalled because they have made people ill or have killed them.

  • @kagomekikyoarcher6 Of course they contain CHEMICALS! What kind of IDIOT are you??? All the UNIVERSE IS CHEMICAL including ALL THE EARTH and ALL LIVING BEINGS. Everything you EAT IS CHEMICAL! Try harder not to be so STUPID.

What you are attempting to imply is that there are no artificial or synthetic chemicals....vastly different from stating that there are no chemicals present...a patently idiotic statement.

  • @wattssw HERBALIFE SELLS TOTAL GARBAGE...NOT ONE OF THEM ARE TESTED BY INDEPENDENT LABS.

BESIDES, FDA APPROVED MEANS LITTLE...MANY PEOPLE DIED AFTER USING FDS APPROVED PRODUCTS

  • @LicaAW supplements do not need to be approved by the FDA, anyone can make a supplement and sell it. As a matter a fact I don't know any "Supplement" in the bodybuilding game that has been approved. All of them read, these statements have not been evaluated by the FDA blah blah blah.

  • @LicaAW I believe supplements presently do not require FDA approval.

  • No products in Health Stores are FDA. Look at the products that are FDA approved, they do more harm than good. People die or get more sick , Cigarette is regulated by the FDA. I would stay away from FDA approved products.

  • @LicaAW @LicaAW I heard Dr. Ignarro speak in Abu Dhabi last year and he explained it quite clearly that NO2 cannot be used by an external source, rather it is a natural gas that is generated in the walls of our blood vessels and excreted out of our veins and into interstitial fluid and cells. This can only be achieved through exercise and getting your heart rate up, that's when the gas is created. If he recommends anything, it is merely to help your body help itself.

  • @LicaAW ....Why? Think about it...these huge pharmaceutical companies will have no patients to drug with their drugs. And their lobbyists up in Washington DC will be out of work. Dr, Joseph Bredergast was awarded by the ADA in 2008 for saving more lives that any other physicians in the American history. He formulated a product in which it's main ingredients is L-arginine (known as ProArgi-9Plus. amiraclemoleculeDOTcom/ama)

  • @LicaAW FDA is not god, The free market can regualte themselves, as a matter of fact, herbalife regualtes it self bettter than the FDA would ever do. Herbalife is an international company that adheres to strict international standards so strict that they make the FDA look like childs play. For example the japananese standards are 10 times more strict than the maerican standards

  • @LicaAW I only buy supplements from trusted names & stay away from store brands. As to your question about FDA, I don't trust them when it comes to supplements because they work 2 close with the big pharma companies whose only interest is profits. Most of the top brass at FDA come from the pharma field. I don't see FDA protecting me from big pharma companies, So why should I trust FDA when it comes to supplements? I see FDA as phama companies' police trying to get rid of alternative med.

  • @LicaAW <--- Dumb Ass. Please use google in the future and do a little research prior to posting ridiculous crap. Nothing wrong with asking questions, but you asked questions that are easily found with a simple search on google or another search engine.

  • @LicaAW: "FDA approved" does not equal "safe". "FDA approved" equals patented pharmaceutical product that drug companies sell to make huge money. Arginine and cirtullin are naturally occurring amino-acids, and therefore not patentable. Hence drug companies cannot make huge money selling them at outrageous prices, and therefore they will not spend the money to perform expensive clinical trials and go through FDA approval.

  • you can buy this product in herbalife... he is one of the cientifics that works here

  • everything comes down to exercising. it a fact in life.

  • You can buy Nitrix Oxide suppliments in any bodybuilding protien suppliment type store. Unlike the head buzz of an energy drink, taking N.O. before exercise makes your natural muscular strength to increase. All that the doctor says are the other medicinal benefits of N.O.

  • i took some nitric oxide pills now my dick is mad hard.

  • That is what Viagra and all those pills have....research it! No joke

  • That is true but viagra has components that harm your body like kidneys and gallbladder etc. While N.O. by its self is better.

  • @giulitorelli Dr Ignarro has been called the father of Viagra. It was created due to his research.

  • just ask a heart doctor about this and see what he says face to face.

  • That's a good idea! I'll just do that. It's just lately there are so many supplements which promise you to be young forever and you want to believe it, but in reality nothing really works, except good nutritional balanced diet, every day good exercise and in general a good care of yourself. Being a woman is difficult to admit that I'm getting older and aging accordingly :-(

  • i dont know if this is true but i am going to try it. my health was so poor i couldnt walk for the pain. two weeks of megadoes

of vitamice c and my knees are fine. i could never eat from foods one or two grams of vitamin c.

  • how can i find out how much of each ingredient i need to take to boost my no levels?

  • just go to local LIBRARY check his book and he gives complete dosages 3/4's through the book. someone ELSE mentioned it lower blood flow this NOT

  • NOT TRUE.. Blood Pressure & Blood Flow are two entirely different entities. It actually INCREASES BLOOD FLOW.

  • Can you tell me the dose please? I can't buy the book...

  • Arginine, unfortunately, causes increased Herpetic outbreaks...

  • counter with Lysine

  • so is there ANY negative side effects to taking this, i didnt hear anything about this

  • If this is a life saving process, why is it not out in public without cost? Why does it leave people out that cannot afford to pay for it? Why aren't our doctor's talking about it? This should be public knowledge available to everyone for no cost.

  • It is out in the public without cost. You just learned about if for free via YouTube. Arginine, citrulline, and antioxidants cost next to nothing if you go to the vitamin stores and take a look.

Many doctors are talking about it. Dr. Louis Ignarro for one.

  • Pharmaceuticals and so called main stream medicine can not make money from same. check with Drs. Cranston/J.Whitaker/D.Williams reccommend same for years. Read for FREE at public library "Bypassing the cure is worse than problem. how many patients die within few short days/months AFTER having the procedure. Others needing a second treatment just a few short years later. I'll wager you KNOW a few. Further check out I.V. CHELATION THERAPY Good Luck BARONE

  • you can buy a nitric oxide booster for arround 20 dollars at your local vitamin store, arginine is very cheap...

  • Agreed, Arginine is one of the cheapest ways to significantly boost your health.

  • I know where to get some of this ... if anyone is looking for it, feel free to let me know. This was indeed a fantastic discovery.

  • because, the DRUG companies practically OWN DOCTORS. this is a SUPPLEMENT :-)

  • I don't understand this particular comment, is it about Lysine being a supplement? Can you explain your comment please? My apologies. In my own experience, unfortunately the use of Lysine does little if anything to stop my systemic herpetic outbreaks.

  • "herpetic outbreaks. "

    MMS Chlorine Dioxide Jim Himble

    NOT A JOKE! ;-)

  • What is MMS? Are you saying to take "Chlorine Dioxide" for my "systemic herpetic outbreaks"? Please respond, Jim, thanks...Sandy

  • i'm saying i used to get fever blisters.. sometimes a few times a year... and i havent had ONE in 2 years.. coincidentally when i began on the mms? the 'tickle" was present for while but that hasnt been back.

i dont know, but i know it killed parasites (that we all have) for sure. that's why meats and fish are sprayed with it.

    google: jim humble mms herpes

but it basically kills every cell with a pH 7 or lower.. a "weak oxidizer" as opposed to ozone or oxygen.

  • the biggest scam on the market right now is arginine blood flow stimulators (NO) I also being taking them for 3 months, I felt the pump but I didn't see any progress and I worked out very hard . l- arginine is good for the heart as the doctor says but no big deal for a person who wants to gain muscle. I good quality whey protein worked for me.

  • I just started NO yesterday morning and it makes me lift higher weights. you're obviously not working out hard enough.

  • ..............................................

  • Comment removed

  • protein is a pure mix of amino acids. did you know that.

  • NiteWorks Herbalife!

  • never had it.. but if you have headache you should stop taking then try again afther 1 year working your body..

  • what about the terrible headaches?

  • No supplements contain Nitric Oxide. Supplements contain precursor amino acids such as Arginine and Citrulline.

It is not clear how much Arginine, Citrulline, and antioxidants the SuperPump250™ Proprietary Blend. It is important to get the right amount of each nutrient.

  • plasmajet by gaspari nutrition is probably the best NO supplement, however, superpump 250 is pretty good too. What foods do you think support the production of NO? I feel like when I drink orange juice throuout the day, I have better vaso-dilation in my veins, and more NO, but that's just me

  • Orange juice is a great source of Vitamin C which is an antioxidant and functions in unison with NO since NO is a free radical.

  • but I thought free radicals were bad for you

  • Free radicals are only bad in the absence of antioxidants. This is why Dr. Ignarro recommends taking antioxidants (vitamins C, E, etc) along with NO precursor amino acids.

  • This is very true indeed

  • Aren't free radicals bad? And does anyone know if NO works for prostate endothelium?

  • what if ur taking work out supplements that is rich in nitric oxide like (SuperPump250) from Gaspari nutritions?

  • I have tried many N.O. products, including Gaspari. "N.O. SyntheSize" is BY FAR the best.
