  • That's embarrassing holy shit kids don't know how to peel a fucking apple, in a culinary school >_>

  • @joyride199 no. its just sad. it just proves how shitty culinary schools are in america.

  • @azncrazy247 Are you kidding me? The CIA in new york is considered one of the top culinary schools in the world..

  • @SKoreanDJ ya. top culinary school. they dont know how to peel apples with a knife. might as well go to europe and become an apprentice. even better than culinary school no joke dude

  • @azncrazy247 Well first of all.. they were all very tense, especially since they were competing against a top chef. But they also had to keep track of the time and were rushing through the apples.

  • @SKoreanDJ rubbish. i learned to peel apples fast when i was 12 years old with a butcher knife without wasting any meat

  • @azncrazy247 ok, your point? I'm willing to bet you wouldn't be able to do as good if you were in their shoes. So you're good at peeling apples, good for you? Are you trying to say you're a better cook than the people shown in the video here?

  • 6:03 WTF Geithner?!...

  • Sakai-sama's voice in this special was dubbed by the man who usually voiced Ohta-san, Jeff Manning. I loved watching Iron Chef every Friday night on the Food Network with my dad

  • あの学生のリンゴの皮のむき方・・・酷すぎる。もったいない。私の方が上手い。

  • watching tv when you should be cooking? what a lazy piece of shit, i don't like bobby gay, i HATE HIM!

  • Sakai is unbelievable. What I wouldnt give to eat at one of his restaurants. Though I have to say, what is with "fine dining" and abnormally small portions?

  • @elizlestrad expensive ingredients, expensive wages and overheads

  • @elizlestrad expensive ingredients, expensive wages, high price overheads e.g cutlery, plates, dining room

    it all adds up

  • @elizlestrad small portions for multiple courses, you don't want big portions when you got 5 plates of food to eat

  • Sakai is brilliant

  • The aemricans...We don care how much we waste...as long as we get the job done ^_^

  • If memory serves me right - Bobby has redeemed himself in IronChef america where he has performed admirably. But yes, in this show he is portrayed as the bad kid :)

  • That giggling little prick... hah

  • Nobody apparently likes Kobe.

  • @MattBInYYC hrmm thats true poor kobe he looks so shy n in the background:(

  • Sakaisan, I'm a biggest fan.. Your the best!!

  • pwned! hahaha.

  • Did everyone see the place card for Tim Geithner ? - this was when he was an Under Secretary of Treasury back in 2000.....it warmed my heart to see his name card sitting next to Greenspan and Larry Summers

  • I wish Gordon Ramsay appeared on Iron Chef...that'll be a helluva episode

  • for me, diversity is what makes human so interesting and makes me so happy everytime i see pple of different cultures or countries interact and share the fun moment.

  • americans are stupid

  • i enjoyed the arrival more then the match

  • ahhh sakai was the man

  • i don't like flay

  • the guy at the end of the apple peeling contest was actually pretty good.

  • who da fuck uses scissors to fillet a fish? americans...

  • Ive worked in plenty of restaurants and Ive never seen anybody filet a fish with scissors

  • Yay sakaiiii!!!!!

....o yea we got kobe also

  • The reason they look so bad is because they're trying to peel them as quickly as they can. Saki-san isn't some normal line cook. That man is one of the greatest Chef's in the world. and that's not some online overstatement. He's cooked for anthing from King's to Pez.'s in his life and has trained over 40, that's right 40 2 star or above Chef's himself.

They were clearly in awe of him, as they should be, but were also clearly young.

  • Are they students at the cooking school?

    American's level is too low.

  • dude but i must say kobe wasnt treated very well he had to do the grunt work, got no appreciation for his help and worst of all evrybody body surrounded Sakai for auto graphs while Kobe was cleaning up

  • well, being te youngest iron chef n very dew battle, no surprises there, feel a bit sorry 4 him but hey, he's one of te top chef!

  • Fucking lol at 1:29 shes recording with the lens cap on

  • *sob* Gosh, poor Kobe-san, stuck in the back of the kitchen doing all the grunt work. ;_; Because he's the youngest Iron Chef, he always gets the shit treatment. (He doesn't even get to rise up into Kitchen Stadium with the other chefs because there's only room for 3! *sob!*)

  • Well, I think Kobe gets the last laugh as far as the ascent goes...he's got a friggin' violin quartet accompanying him! Now who else can say THAT?

  • thats americans for you

  • dude

you have to realize these are STUDENTS

their just learning to cook and stuff

sakai is a freakin iron chef with 40+ years of experience

  • first of all, EVEN if they are students, they must have SOME basic knowledge or passion for cooking, otherwise, why da hell are they in a cooking school?

  • true.

but they did get the job done...

just at a way slower time and lower quality

hopefully that was like a beginners class

or american chef's are like doomed...

even i could peel apples cleaner and faster than they did

and i had no "training" lolz

  • i wish i was there also to meet them and sakai is my fav iron chef all of time also

  • sakai is my favorite, too. I'm part french on my mom's side :D

it makes me proud to be french lik sakai :D

  • At 2:12, did you see how ignorant the CIA student was to Sakai when he brought out the hizu?

  • Wow. Sakain is beast at peeling apples.

  • 2:32 Holy shit! I have a twin!

  • damn those were the days

  • 1:07 looks like john cleese was there too haha

at least a look a like

  • these americans look so fuking ignorant

  • ditto, hahaha

  • I know right? How could they be so surprised about someone filleting a fish with a knife? They had looks on their faces like they had never seen it...obviously a lot of them were lying about watching Iron Chef lol

  • they're morons...even my mom can peel a stupid apple w/ a knife, and they're supposed to be in an ELITE cooking school?!

  • Ignorant? Sure, these STUDENTs' knife skills weren't the best (they may be good at other things), but compared to the production managers running the competition later, they were at least open-minded and insightful when given something new and were good sports.

  • Sakai is so great at peeling. :)

  • GO SAKAIIII!!

    ur my idoll!!

    best iron chef ever!

  • kobe should be like... dam no one likes me...

  • 2:11.

The student next to Sakai when peeling apples was shaking. Tremble before the God; Sakai!

  • None may stand before the Might of the King of the Iron Chefs!!!!!

  • @LovelyYTRocks he does, I couldn't see it til I actually looked closer. I'm like that too, I'm a hairdresser so whenever I am near a master stylist, my hands shake. Masters are scarey

  • Kobe didn't do much.

Kobe didn't even battle alot on Iron Chef.

  • kobe must be like "fuck this shit" lol

  • Any of you was there during lecture? :P

  • lol that guy with the thumb up after tasting - bent so freaky!

  • The guy next to Sakai during the apple peeling thing is such a good sport.

  • Kobe looked so happy, I wonder if he knew he was going to be almost totally ignored... xD

He'd have to be used to it, though. Poor bugger.

  • I never seen any1 pwn an apple like dat~!

  • sakai is god haha

  • the look on the students face at 2:11 is so funny!!

  • yeah. they should mention that iron chef is popular in other countries, not just america. its popular in canada too, you know.

  • Yeah! They should have went to Canada!

  • <.<" they think america is the most important... *coughsnotcoughs*

  • i just wanna say not only iron chefs are big in America, they are also very popular in Australia.

    I LOVE CHEN!

  • Where the heck is Chen in this?

  • Sakai ftfw

  • OMG SAKAI RULES!!

  • Sakai is the MAN or the CHEF! I wish I was there...

  • Sakai owned the Apple battle!
