loved your jam with the gig pig was very tasteful! was just wondering how you customised the gig pig? i see there is what looks like a piccolo snare instead of where the other rims fit? and the hole is still there! if you could let me know that would be amazing as this video has single handedly made me want to buy one. but i like your drummer's set up better!
yes there were quite a few things we didnt like about the gig pig:
1. too big. seems like this is meant for someone 6ft and over. maybe thats how they roll in Sweden. we'd like it 1 inch smaller in every dimension.
2. the snare was an interesting design, but didnt really work well. a small diameter of 8 inches. why didnt they make it 10 inches? the bottom head and snare are way down on the bottom of the box, and not really sensitive to strokes that arent Fortissimo.
we replaced the snare with a Pearl Piccolo. because we needed the room for the piccolo to fit, we removed the tom heads on the box. we still have the added toms on the side, but i often set up a floor tom next to the gigpig.
3. all of the hardware that hold the cymbals stripped. bad design. we replaced all of the necks with standard hardware you can buy at Guitar Center, Sam Ash, etc.
4. difficult to move around on the existing wheels. i move it on a dolly.
Where did u get ur drum kit from ?

things we do like about the gigpig:
1. how unique and trippy it is. people always ask at each gig.
2. the bass drum sounds load and good once we put the proper muffling inside the hole. better than a normal bass drum in my opinion.
3. it is a one trip kit from the car to the gig, if you get it dialed in the right way.
lemme know if i may answer any other questions.
thanx,
Phil
