Hey mate, i just did this setup and using 2 spilters for rear and sub/centre and the fronts are one for sides and other for front, for some reason when i play music, only one system is playing, i used my phone in the system that wasnt working, and plays fine so i noe my connection is good, anyhelp?
Can you post a link to a picture of what you're talking about? I'm trying to get an idea on how you can get two sound systems working on a PC within 1 sound card (each sound system has its own sound card, I assume)
@Kefart well on the back of your pc is three jacks (3.5mm) you get a converter , a 3.5mm splitter it has 1 3.5mm plug on one end and 2 sockets on the other, again get three of those.
if you have 1 sub in front, 1 sub in back and the other 5 speakers positioned perfectly around the room, this is honestly be the most ultimate setup ever, but since they are al right next to each other, kinda pointless

2-3 weeks.. (manufacturers fault) lol so i returned them free post styleand when they confirmed that they wer faulty asked if i wanted a refund which i happily agreed to have :P. and i am still using and loving the second set that i happed to receive absalutly free :)!!!

Hey, actually one sub was under a thick piece of wood, and the other was just placed on the carpet, with a bit of cardboard under it. I didnt have time to get another piece of wood for the second sub. The reason is that keeping the sub away from the floor tightens the bass, you get clearer sound. The difference isnt that big, but i wanted to try it anyway. So yeah, i guess if you got a bit of thick wood laying around, give it a try, see how it sounds :)

you take splitters and send the same exact thing to both systems. (take the C-S and split it.... take the R-L and split it..... take the RR-RL and split it. simple)
nope, the second monitor runs exactly the same as the primary. if u hook upthe second monitor directly to dvi, youll notice a diff in quality between them tho. obv the dvi one will look more vibrant and clearer than the vga one, but with he dapter they both run as vga. :)
yeah i would put the subs in the corner, but because of the room layout, and where the pc is, with the length of the speaker cables, thats the only place where i could put the subs allowing for the speakers to be positioned in all the corners. For the paint question, im not sure, its some kinda blue :)
Instead of buying two or several sets of the same system, you should spend all that money on a single system. You'll appreciate the quality and abilities a lot more. I know this is hypocritical of me, you'll see what I mean if you check out my videos, but my case is a little different to yours. It's often better to spend more towards quality than maximum output.

I have 2 z5500. and with the Xfi Elite Pro Audio card.. plus a program I downloaded.. you can get this setup running 10.2. It takes quite a few hours to config the speakers.. and If you do this, I suggest not setting up your speakers, cause your going to need to mark what number each speaker is. or you get cluster fucked.
yeah thats right, if you check my new vid, only just uploaded it, youll see the 2 sets that are hooked up, and 1 set where i took the sub out.. the amp didnt work, as soon as i took it out of the box. the 4th set (3rd working one) is still in its box.. i dont really wanna open it yet..

Man, I'd really like to get another set of Z-5500's and do something like that, but I've got so much crap plugged into my current Z-5500's that I'd have to buy a ton of splitters and extra wires. Besides, there's no way to split an optical connection, which is just one of the things I have plugged it. In fact, I have every input used except Stereo 2.

thanks guys. yeah i guess if you split the control center 2 ways 1 for each sub, it should play through both. man, i would stack em, but there isn't much space in the room, and i gotta take the wire lengths into consideration cause i got the satalites in the corners of the room.. so im using the full length of the speaker cables. ill try and get some more vids up later of proper bass excursion from the subs :D

The position of the 2 Subs is totaly wrong.
The Crossover of these Z-5500 Subs is very high so you have to put them on a line with the center speaker.

hey sometube, thanks man. ive already got a 3rd set that was faulty, i opened it up and took the sub out, like you did in your new vid, but i dont really wanna take the grill off the subs. wot i mite do tho, is ive got a new 4th set of the 5500s, so if i open those up, ill buy 3 more splitters and see wot 3 sets playing simaltaneously sounds like :D, but im worried it mite destroy the house. lol

thats pretty crazy dude. But i like mine better i dont have computer surround sound i like the dolby digital 5.1 1000 watts shit that i have. Check it out i dont like logitech when it comes to sound but i do like there mics and key boards and all that. But ya crazy setup check my video out of my shit.

Man, I'd really like to get another set of Z-5500's and do something like that, but I've got so much crap plugged into my current Z-5500's that I'd have to buy a ton of splitters and extra wires. Besides, there's no way to split an optical connection, which is just one of the things I have plugged it. In fact, I have every input used except Stereo 2.

Dosent the control pod get its power from the VGA connetion? Wouldnt splitting it send double (Not sure how this really works but.) the power it needs, since its coming from 2 subs? Idk, it just seems bound to....fail, for lack of a better word.

thanks guys. yeah i guess if you split the control center 2 ways 1 for each sub, it should play through both. man, i would stack em, but there isn't much space in the room, and i gotta take the wire lengths into consideration cause i got the satalites in the corners of the room.. so im using the full length of the speaker cables. ill try and get some more vids up later of proper bass excursion from the subs :D

You should stack both of ur z5500's on top of each other and put them in the corner, the bass will be amazing then!
