I feel that this is what every fish deserves, I mean when people get arowanas that grow 4 feet long, even when they are in a 6ft long tank it may seem big to us but its nothing compared to if they were in the wild, I wish I could give my fish a tank like this! This guy is truly dedicated to fish keeping, Props bro
QUESTION: Why is these people who are LUCKY enough to have these huge fish tanks so quick to throw HUGE fish in them? If I had it it would be filled with danios, tetras, livebearers, killifish, and cichlids just to name a few!
A lack of education would also be the reason why you don't understand what the word "compatible" means. These fish are obviously compatible, he's had this setup for a long time.
Why go out of your way to say something negative like that, with no justification or knowledge to back it up?
I don't like seeing people overcrowd a tank like that, but that doesn't mean it's not healthy. The only reason I call it overcrowded is because of the arapaima. Buuuuuttt....I wouldn't mind having a tank like that and an extra school of piranhas...
I have the privilege of fishing for the butterfly peacock bass whenever I want in Miami. I can also go out and catch myself Oscars and peacock bass for tanks.
Take another video and stand back and place a cinder block on a stand in the center so you can prove us wrong. If not shut up, Make sure you don't edit the hell out of it like this was. It was cut and spliced so many times to hide the real size of it.
I was there myself, the tank is over 20' long....use the fish as reference, the pimas are 5-6' long...and do you not see the tape measure, or the beer?! lol
It's not a standard tank you can buy like an 8x4x4....it's made out of cinder blocks with 2 acrylic panels glued in..
This is in fact over a 10,000 gallon tank. The owner is humble enough to actually tell everyone its 10,000 gallons as it can only that much with all decor and substrate displacing water. So if you calculate the dimension without everything in it, the tank is closer to 12,000 gal. The owner knows its a huge tank and doesn't need to get into it so just says 10,000. I've been there multiple times and it is massive. His largest fish we measured out 2 weeks ago at 72 inches, and growing. Go MFK!
Sweet jesus! Those peacock bass are gargantuan! I got myself a 20 incher once but those make mines look like a dwarf. I catch Oscars down here in south Florida also along with Peacock and Largemouth bass. Want a wild Oscar?
Flaming Pope - this tank is 10k gallon NOT 1000 gals. I've seen it in person. John, the owner of the tank used a pond shield paint that's blue to seal the cinder block thus making the water blue.
uh huh, look at the size of a gallon of milk, approximately ~1foot by 1 ft 1 ft. A 1000 tank, would have dimensions along the lines of ~10ft,10ft,10ft. A 10,000 gallon tank would on the order of 10's have sides ~100ft,10ft,10ft. or about ~21ft on each side(cubed root of 10000). Unless those fish are 7 feet long each, that tank is clearly not 10k gallons.
also.. get onto any tank calculator on the net and see.. the tank is roughly 10 wide, 20 long, and 7 tall.. u plug that in and wow! 10,472.73 US gallons.. incredible! really the tank looks about 15 plus ft. wide, at least 7 tall, and who knows how deep. again, plz leave ur ridiculous statements to yourself. do ur hw before u down someones video
1) don't trust what you hear on net cause most of the time they don't include specific air soluble/pressure/ various other variables lol, calculus biased integrals +- 10 or so gallons
2) to redeem myself- I admit I was wrong on 1cubic ft does not equal one gallon, however my math is correct, just multiply the correct ratio through and presto. which is on the order of ten so I guess it would be 10k after all
3) I never vote on videos, ever
4) But please do explain the blue water, mine are green
1.. that doesn't make sense lol. This isn't calculus, its simply geometry- volumes. calculus would be used to find maximums or the like, not to find gallonage.
The water is blue because the walls are painted blue, or it will look blue because of the lights above. It would also be died with some chemicals without hurting the fish
... The cube of the square root of 10,000 is indeed 1,000,000, but that's entirely irrelevant.
The CUBE ROOT of 10,000 is approximately 21.5, which means a 21.5 foot cube would have a volume of approximately 10,000 cubic feet. However, that 10,000 ft^3 would be about 74,000 gallons.
10,000 gallons is about 1337 (lol) cubic feet. The cube root of 1337 is 11, and this aquarium is very obviously 10,000 gallons or more.
The Arapaima gigas has been reported at around 15 feet. Kinda blows your fish outta the water.
BTW, your "shark" is not actually a shark. The only shark capable of living in freshwater is the Bull shark, which is only temporary. The fish you have is from the cyprinid family, same as a goldfish.
