  • people lets enjoy this music its good and far from this superficial bullshit if anything i dont think good music has an age limit for anyone

  • Enough about all this age crap. Who cares if youre 14, 16, or 18. Im young as well, and I can tell you theres nothing special about it. Not everybody listens to all the new music out there, thats just what the mainstream portrays. You're not special.

  • there is one cunt in this world.

  • @EilidhlovesA7X now unfortunately there are two : ( goddamn shame...

  • @EilidhlovesA7X Now there are two and they can start a family and produce more like them.

  • Fellas,

There is so much of "Dogs In Space" in this single song.

    Google it,for international viewers.

    Fantastic movie.

Just don't be straight when viewing.

  • @khongbiet1000 The Dogs In Space soundtrack is great. I listened to it a lot back when I was in high school (twenty years ago). I went back and watched the movie again a few years ago, and it doesn't quite live up to the memories, but the soundtrack does stand the test of time. I can see why you cite it in reference to this song. I agree that people who like Joy Division will like it.

  • a revelation, thankyou

  • I really think I like Warsaw more than Joy Division.

  • @nuclearjanitors my thoughts, Joy Division still are very highly procuded sound.. this is more garage.

  • These were the glorious days you'd rush to the record shop on pay day to get yet another vinyl gem.Turntable, stereo, big speakers, high volume.God,how has the world become so fucked....or did we just get old?

  • love this. clarity of vocal is excellent. this early less frenctic version is superb.

  • wicked!!!!!!!!! :D i dont care where you uploaded it from, its great to hear it again :)

  • For me this is the best version of transmission

  • timeless and instantly classic music

  • fabulastic!! listenning to this track after 20 years, since the "tape"!!!

i am confused, but i feel that this version is... better??

    TOP!!!

  • ;D

  • this is wicked whatever tk with ian is a classic R.I.P

  • i can see why they didnt use this the mix is way to dry, still though ,its joy division =)

  • great! This is just great!

  • Bass Solo, -Take a hike u fukkin fag....

  • ooh! Not as good as the JD version. The Hannetesque effects are good though but this wasn't produced by him was it?

  • @birdandthe If you don't like it then get lost....Just because you don't appreciate punk doesn't mean the rest of us have to be as narrow minded as you. We enjoy it so fuck off.

  • amazing art cover

  • I actually prefer the sound of these demos to their more refined -- "produced" -- official releases .

However , I like all of Joy Division's releases ( albeit , only a small handful as it was )

  • this version has a unique edge..

  • @birdandthe ah shut up. dolt.

  • DANCE DANCE DANCE DANCE DANCE TO SOME JOYDIVISION!!!!!!!!!

  • seems like after nirvana music died completely :(

  • The bass riff @ the beginning is awesome. Radio live transmission

  • what exactly is the Crowley-quotation?

  • Actually this is quite a good version!

  • Shite......this always makes me think of listening to a walkman with an earplug....so my parents couldnt hear.........guess that ages me...but this tune was before its time and reminds me of those times when you couldnt make out all the words so you made up your own.

  • so fucking cool this sound good and yes is Ian his original voice yeha!!

  • This isn't a re-issue. It's a CD issue of the original album that the band thought was too crap to release. AFAIK, it was released without the band's approval.

The only interest of the CD is to realise what they were like before Hannett did what he did with them.

  • @jezosaurus, it shows how much greater JD was than everyone else. This album sounds like its on the level of a Ramone's album. Even a band as well loved and influencing as the Ramones wasn't good enough to push forward. But JD knew there was something better to be reached...

  • @Sudhish86 the Ramone's are not even close to joy division!! fuckin idiot! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND SON!

  • I didn't recognize Ian's voice

  • FUCKIN' A!

  • I like it, but I prefer the aggression and pace of the later recording

  • Sounds like it was recorded yesterday. R.I.P Ian Curtis

  • OMG.

    Good Version.

  • Is that Ian on the cover?

    Top tune.

  • skate rock band from californiafrom the 80's "drunk injuns" sounds alout like warsaw they also cover "they walked in line"

  • warsaw played at deeply vale apparently ,iwas there though i got stoned and missed it unfortunately still here and now were good i also read ian brown gave em a lift home i regret because i'd love to see a truly great band in their early days

  • i wonder how he decided to change his voice from this to his later, and in my opinion better, deeper voice

  • i dont like the fact that the bass guitar is slower, but Ian's slower tempo sounds good, cant have it both ways spose

best band ever!!! NEW DAWN FADES!

  • actually i think the slower bass fits, its a song about technology and society, the bass with the drums sounds like a carrier signal, with the mix of the synths in the back, the only organic sound is the guitar, which i think makes it.

  • @fubuxjenk i do think that the slower bass is ideal because of that signal effect but to me, it's done just for the sake of making it sound like a transmission signal. where the song structure is concerned, the faster bass sounds better. this version isn't as energetic as the version we all know

  • lol im 13 from australia!!! i got into this coz my whole family are artists and i watched control when i was 12 and yer.... this is so different......... id doesnt really sou nd like warsaw either... :)

  • wow so nice u've been lucky dude )=)

  • not really, lots of art related ppll means lots of criticisms

  • It gives us a different perspective of this song. Certainly slower but also more mysterious. I like that

  • Man that bass is something else, my room is shaking.

  • THE GUY WHO UPLODED THIS IS SIXTEEN !!!!! fuck! well done boy i started listening this at your age, now im 18 and found this tracks wonderfull. i thought you might be around 50... this is an example of who some youngs do on good music

  • I've been listening to Joy Divison/Warsaw since I was 14 (and I'm American and 16 at the moment). The song that introduced me to them is New Order's "Blue Monday" ironically..

  • i've been listening to Joy Division all my life and i'm 15, love New Order too :)

  • ha. yeah, i remember buying this on bootleg cassette back when i was a kid.

  • a toast to great music.

  • @SKIZINGDRUG i started listening to joy division when i was about 14, still love them now

  • @SKIZINGDRUG i'm 14; age doesn't matter.

  • buaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh lovely tremendously... thanks for all of this tracks

  • Lyrically I like this version better than the JD one, the words are over enunciated as if daggers to the soul.

  • Itunes are are for people like you who cant be arsed to get off their arses and look for vintage records. How can you enjoy music when theyres no sleeve or cover to go with it.

  • @Podesta16 I would agree with you but you won't see me crusing around on my bmx with a record player! I'll just rip em off youtube and enjoy em just as much as you.

  • @Podesta16 Agree man, you can't roll a doobie on an MP3 player. Fuckin' hell, the switch to CDs was difficult enough for me.

  • @Podesta16 lol thats what they said

  • @Podesta16 bit hard for me as a 14 yr old when my parents hate this kind of music and would much rather me like justin dickhead bieber, don't exactly have a local old records shop ... young kids these days.. discover music through youtube and itunes. not many visit record shops, if u want this kind of music to go down generations, you need to start embracing internet culture

  • Comment removed

  • @Podesta16 You seem to know what music is really about...

  • Itunes is a modern convenience. Too Indie for it?

  • Most things are on iTunes nowadays...

  • @WarsawRevision

I tunes is against music, they screw music.. so don't support that

  • I purchased my copy of the album from a nearby music store for £10.

  • @WarsawRevision Same here

  • @WarsawRevision In 1993, my partner at the time found it as an L.P. bootleg-cover style - still called Warsaw & the picture alone made it clear who the band was - for $20 Australian, probably about the same price at the time. The only thing is, Warsaw was a good deal slower in tempo on that than this version, which was kinda weird at first 'cos I'd only heard it on Substance, but it became my favourite version!

  • rare ian voice!!!!!!!!!!!
