i had the same thing happen to me. when i had my mr2, this ricer 3.8 v6 camaro with an exhaust wanted to race me, said he was gonna kick my ass. i was 16 at the time, i wasn't the best driver...but i still walked his ass BAD
everyone needs to shut up about "what a v8 could do"... with downpipe/exhaust/fcd/boost controller @ 15 psi i CRAPPED on a c5 vette multiple times. all that power means shit when i can outlaunch on street tires. mr2 on street tires = 1.9 60 foots.

Let me clear somethin with you folks I own a V6 Camaro and I've test driven an MR2-nonturbo with an Automatic.
The Non-turbo MR2 is more true competetion to the V6 Camaro both 3.4 and 3.8's. The MR2 Turbo is fair competetion to an Z28 or SS. No doubt the Turbo MR2 was going to win, it had better power to weight than the V6 could ever dream of having.

I had a 92 MR2 back in the day. That car was a total P.O.S! Always underpowered, every time you power shift the trans cable clips would pop off, and not that great in corners. then i got a little older and realized the power of a V8! Nothing else compares. Not to mention if you want to play the turbo game the V8 really has some gitty up with a turbo.
