  • HE NEEDS TO GO VEGAN AND QUIT ALL THE TOXIC MEDS <3

  • The problem with doctors and medication is many doctors have shares in pharmacutical companies so they push a particular brand of medication. To be honest if a doctor were to cure you or control your problem then they'd go broke. Companies who make the drugs want you to buy for life. Researchers continue to ask for donations to find cures, now imagine if cures were found for most of todays diseases can you imagine how many researchers would be unemployed.

    Unemployment or no cure ?????

  • fuck you

  • Oh I wanna have sex soooo bad...........

  • You must not be checking your personal Email on your Youtube account. I immediately realized I was wrong and sent you a note of apology.

Again, my apologies. Obviously I was wrong. Best of luck.

  • Do you work for Amylin Pharmaceuticals?

Are you being paid in any way--directly or indirectly--with anyone from Amylin Pharmaceuticals?

  • I call BS, Bonnie.

    Question:

    1. Why do you not pronounce the names of the two drugs in question?

    2. Do you work for a pharmaceutical company? Are you getting paid or compensated in ANY way by the Pharma company in question?

    Thanks.

  • I don't pronounce the names of the drugs because I had no pronunciation key and I didn't want to get it wrong.

I don't work for a drug company. I own a website hosting company, which you can see on my video on my homepage that shows me giving a tour of my data center.

  • @ExperimentsinHonesty so you do get paid from Pharma company

  • @JBurnsChicago My sister has the same combination-- Please check for underactive thyroid symptoms

  • My AC-1 (blood glucose count) was so high and withing the first month you drop that number and its so amazing. Thats the blood work thats done once every 3 months. The DAILY Blood count goes down the day you begin this drug. Starts working the minute you inject. This is actually Iguanna Saliva, dont trust me? look it up Its amazing. Type in Lizard Saliva and type 2 diabetes, read all about it. GOOD LUCK!

  • 2-) The key being inject and wait 45 minutes before you eat. The shot slows down your digestion and you dont get hungry, you have more energy and you actually look for things to do like go for a walk. I love to walk and Im so glad to have that feeling of wanting to get out again :-)

  • 1) Hi, I am taking the Byetta pronounced Bye-Etta. I started out on 5 units twice a day and with my doctors aproval instead of one month I stayed on it for 2 months before going to the 10 units twice a day. The 10 actually makes you feel full and you have no appetite. Im to the point I have to set a clock to remind me to inject and have a meal and Im very serious.

  • Has your friend had his thyroid checked for hypothyroidism?

  • Not sure. But you can always follow the link to his original video and ask him.

  • well i want to go back when i was young everything seems so perfect you know. did freddie mercury sing. it`s pretty true i`ve notice that life isn`t a game it`s so real

  • For so long we have been trained not to question doctors or for that matter lawyers opinions. I love that this clip opens a dialogue where we can share information along our research journey to all things good in life.

Dialogue is so important to help figure out life.

  • Agreed, even if it's a dialog with yourself.

  • even if

  • You need to be quiet and mind your own business and not post things of this nature. You have no idea what you are promoting. Byetta is for control of blood glucose; not for weight loss. A lot of doctors do not want to prescribe Byetta for a lot of reasons. Shopping for doctors to tell you what you want to hear is not a healthy attitude.

  • 1) I will not be quiet. Last time I checked people on YouTube were free to say anything they wanted. In fact the same government that you and I share guarantees my right to say anything I want. Your right is to ignore it or disagree with it.

  • 2) You are misinterpreting my suggestion that he shop around, I am saying that different doctors are willing to engage you in different levels of dialog and are or are not knowledgeable about what matters to you. If the doctor you have is not helping you get healthy then you need to find one that will work with you to get healthy.

    3) The person I made the video for does have a blood glucose issue and I knew that when I made the video.

  • Did you even bother to read the comments of the other posters before you put in your two cents? Did you notice a doctor even posted in response to my video?

  • wow i had no clue people made these types of vids

  • I think you really need to do your own research of medications and such. Doctors don't care or are too busy. I always do my own research before going to my doctor even if he's busy.

  • Byetta can really delivery for some diabetics trying to achieve weight loss. (I've seen it do some remarkable things.)

  • If weight gain causes DM, then why are we giving pills that cause weight gain? Byetta does not do this. It's an injectable, but a finger stick for a blood sugar level hurts more.

I am a doctor and have DM 2. Byetta costs about $200/mo, which is why insurance won't cover it. Penny wise and pound foolish, aren't they?

  • My insurance pays for it except for the $15. co pay. I guess Im lucky. Depends on your insurance co. OH if you have to go into the hospital, bring your own injectable with you because they dont like using this drug there and they will insist on giving you Insulin while your in hospital and it totally makes you sick and screws up your sugars really bad. FYI

  • Doctors don't have the answer for most things. DON'T trust the killers. I have a controlled diabetes problem as well.

  • comments like this get people killed because they think doctors are out to get them. For pete's sake, go to a doctor if you are sick!

  • Oh yes, I have a doctor who keeps pumping 12 tablets daily. Now he needs to get off the alcohol :)

  • you are very pretty

  • awesome video. Sounds a lot like me with my struggles. I am also taking this drug. Appreciate your information

  • nice painting in the background - it really compliments your personality

  • hahahhaha. It was painted by my then 3.5 year old step daughter. So I wonder what that says about my personality. :-)

  • I take byetta and yes it does help you losse weight it helps by makeing you so sick at you stomach you dont want to eat but that does go away after a few weeks and yes most of all diebetic meds make you gain weight and most doctors do not help you at all with weight gain

  • Doctors blowing patients off is such an epidemic. I have sarcoidosis and I can't tell you how many times I've changed my doctor because of either the office staff being rude and/or the doctor telling me things like "You don't need to come to me for every little thing." Uhm, Hello?! Sarcoid causes a ton of other conditions and complications. Finding a doctor who will listen to you and give you options is really hard to find. And I'm still not quite there yet. Good luck.

  • It's "Glucovance." Very interesting. Apparently paired with other drugs, Glucovance can cause weight gain along with other side effects like liver damage. However the side effects listed for Byetta seem a little more prevalent and severe than the pill. Probably because it's an injection and not a pill.

  • Thanks for the info.

  • Thank you so much for that.

  • You kind of have to look out for yourself with some doctors. I switched doctors a couple of years ago after my previous totally blew diagnosing migraines :P

  • I hope you have someone who is more in tune with your needs now. How did you find the new doctor; phone book, recommendation from friend or another doctor recommendation?

  • by complete fluke! Karma maybe? I was fed up with Drs :P I knew I needed a better one, called an office with 3 DOs in it, talked to the receptionist about my story and she recommended one. Little did I know this woman herself as well as her son suffer migraines.

  • This woman referring to my DO who did more for me in one visit than several with a neurologist! She rocks, definately a keeper

  • That raises a good point. The doctors I have liked best have great office staff. Patient, helpful, thoughtful, and courteous. Thanks for sharing your story.

  • That's some nice advice you gave. Isn't it so that the first drug is very cheap and the other expensive? You see that a lot with many other medicine's, they just give you the cheap crap :(

  • According to my friend, with his health insurance, they are the same price. I assume the reason the doctors don't prescribe the inject-able, is that people won't keep on the regime but they will if its pills.

  • Are you single?

  • Why is that relevant?

  • Because research shows that married people are happier and have less death wishes.

  • This video is not about me, its about another YouTube user FantasticBabblings and it's about Diabetes and a specific drug related to that medical condition | So I still don't know why my marital status is relevant to the topics raised in this video or the one it's a response to.

  • Sound advice. You have to be an equal partner in your health care with your doctors. If you don't ask questions - or if you do and they aren't heard - you need to find a doctor who will treat you with respect.

  • Thank you. I have to remind myself to change doctor's once in a while, when I am not getting the service I need.

  • Thank you so much for your kindness and information. You may be right about changing doctors. This is the third doctor in a row that I have had that gave lip service to weight loss but didn't really care to pursue it as a real project. Maybe #4 will be better. I will check out Byetta with my endocrinologist. Thanks so much, Bonnie.

  • You are welcome. I look forward to hearing your progress. There are some things about my health that I don't talk about in my vlogs, because I am tired of hearing about them myself. But in the future, I will probably disclose more of my own journey to live long and healthy.

  • good advice!

  • Thank you. I have to remind myself to change doctor's once in a while, when I am not getting the service I need.
