The only argument that I made here against you was that Korea is still ahead of China, probably the most technologically advanced in Asia right now. That's not being ignorant, that's actually addressing the world as it is right now. What do you want me to say? China is ahead of Korea? Is that what you are saying? Even I admitted that China focuses in certain areas that are ahead of Korea, but that doesn't mean that it's on technological parity.
@kjk3159 And then you started accusing me of perhaps being nonKorean or Chinese Korean or Gyopo. When that is utterly irrelevant to what we're discussing. As if my background will give my statement more validity. You have no sense of making logical argument and your attempt to profile me was a typical thing closed minded Koreans do when people they argue do not share their view as if all Koreans should feel the way they do. Fascist morons.
@kjk3159 Japan has its share of problems no doubt. But it has far longer, deeper and more sophisticated industrial and economical engine than Korea at this time despite all their problems. Just because Samsung is doing so well. Hyundai is doing so well, those two does not put Korea ahead of Japan overall. Korea must face the reality and know that she has still far to go to become a nation that can compete with Japan. Korea certainly came a long way, but it's not there yet.
Samsung, LG, Kia, Hyundai are definitely the leading companies. But you seem to hold an arrogant ignorance that Korea is simply just those 4 companies. Korea has thousands of other small to medium companies that deals overseas. Japan is still larger than Korea, no doubt. As before, I'm simply saying that Korea is ahead of Japan in technological infrastructure. Where did this industrial nonsense come from?
@kjk3159 Dude, Japan has 3 to 4 times the Brands both technological as well as other areas than Korea. China last year published 2 times more research and patent papers on technology then Korea. And you want to sit there thinking Korea is so great because of few handful technological brands? And think we're ahead? Do pat on yourself if it makes you happy.
So sheer number of research papers make China more advanced than Korea. Interesting.......
Its like saying China is a developed country and not a developing one because its being done on a larger scale. Still fail to see the flaw in your logic? China is a developing country, not a developed one. Do pat yourself if you think space tech alone makes China more advanced than Korea.
@kjk3159 Sheer number of research and patent paper is a sign that China is spending and investing a lot in technology and won't be too long to catch up with Korea the way Korea caught up with the rest of the world. It's just a matter of time. Instead of being so arrogantly proud of Korea's past accomplishment, I'd rather have the Koreans think about what they must do to stay ahead. And you either have a problem reading or understanding what I say. Get a glasses or get some tutoring.
I think you're the one being arrogant of China's sheer number of research and patent papers. I see you went from China is not behind Korea because of space tech and ballistic missile to China will catch Korea soon.
So its a gross generalization for me to say that Japan is falling behind Korea, but not a gross generalization for you to claim that Japan is ahead of Korea or that Korea is falling behind China?
@kjk3159 How can I be arrogant if I'm not even Chinese? Did I say Korea is falling behind China? Is that a reading problem or comprehension? I just find it juvenile of pat on my own back attitude some Koreans have when the races is long and far far complex. Yes I said Korea makes better TV, IT, Cars. But our 2nd attempt at sending a satellite to orbit failed. China already sent a man outside the space. BYD just signed deal with Merce to produce electric cars. What does that tell you?
You continue to keep pointing at my reading and comprehension, yet you don't see the irony in writing to tell me that.
You continue to fail to understand my point that China's few advanced areas like ballistic and space technology doesn't make the country more advanced than Korea. OVERALL, Korea is still ahead of China, that was my ONLY point. Yet you continue to point things out, as if you are somehow trying to convince me otherwise.
You seem to persecute my reasoning by claiming that I support Koreans out of blind logic. Its you that blindly goes against Korea without bothering to listening to my words. For example, if you tell me that Germany is more advanced than Korea in most fields of engineering (except bioengineering), I would agree. Its not doubtful. When you say that China is more advanced and developed than Korea because of their space investments, that's when you gone too far in blind logic.
@kjk3159 You obviously have a problem in reading and comprehension. I said and I quote, China is more advanced than Korea in SOME areas. It was a rebuttal against you or someone else who made a sweeping remark about how China is behind Korea or Korea is more advance than China. In some areas yes. In some areas no. And in fact Korea is trailing in those areas I pointed out. And you made another sweeping remark that how Japan has fallen behind Korea. Which is again a gross generalization
If I had reading and comprehension problem, would WRITING a statement to tell me to get tutoring and glasses help? You stupid dolt?
You said, over and over again that China is not behind Korea in technology because few sectors of China like ballistic and space technology is ahead of Korea's. My argument this whole time was that Korea's overall technological development is ahead of China and China has yet to catch Korea.
@kjk3159 It's like knocking on a stone wall. What I said over and over again is that China isn't that far behind as many Koreans think and in some sectors they are more advance than us you numbnut. What difference does it make if Korea overall is ahead in few more sectors? What I'm trying to point out is that China can narrow the gap as easily as Korea did of Japan you moron.
Numbnut? Haven't heard that in a while. Did I somehow deny that Korea is catching up to Korea or that China may catch Korea soon? I don't remember denying that. Actually, I remember agreeing to that in my previous statements by saying that China may soon catch Korea. Yet you continue to baffle me with ignorance by continuing to insult me over something I agreed with. Why? Maybe being a "moron" caused me to miss something, as you so graciously pointed out. Tell me?
I've so far agreed with every statement about China advancing towards Korea, only point being that China has yet to catch up to Korea in overall technological parity. If you can't accept that and have to result to personal attacks or attempt to change my point to suit your argument, that I refuse to continue this. Once you learn how to properly engage a discussion, feel free to do so.
@kjk3159 You have been agreed with everystatement I made? LOL. Then why are we arguing? You're one stubborn git. Like a cow that keeps banging against a concrete wall for no reason at all. That's how you become a numbnut btw. I've not heard what you said? I did and I gave you counter points. All you're doing is repeating same thing over and over. Obviously we have difference in opinion. I didn't say you're wrong simply I'm right. You however is desperate to prove I'm wrong. LOL
When did I say I have agreed with every statement you have made?
Why don't you read my whole comments before replying, instead of skimping parts of it? I said "I've so far agreed with every statement about China advancing towards Korea." What we're having an argument about, or what you deny is that China has not yet caught Korea in overall technology. Why don't you actually address the point of my comment instead of putting words in my mouth? Numbnut.
@kjk3159 I have been addressing the points you've made. You're simply not listening and I hate repeating myself. If you don't have the eyes to read properly and brain to comprehend, sorry it ain't my fault. I made it loud and clear enuf already dude ;)
No you haven't. You have been addressing your own nonsense while I kept consistent to my points. This is why I hate arguing with idiots, you just can't reason with them. When you develop some ability to think properly, feel free to start talking. I am baffled, or rather amused at how poor your reasoning skills are.
The point that I brought and was consistent with was the fact that Korea's overall technological development is still ahead of China. Even though China maybe be catching up. Your points about China's certain areas being on par or ahead of Korea doesn't change my original statement that Korea is still ahead of China in overall development. This is my sole point. If you are too stupid to understand my statement, as you consistently shown me, stop arguing. You are wasting my time.
@kjk3159 I'm wasting your time? Then stop reply. Isn't that simple? I did not disagree that Korea is ahead overall. What I'm saying is that they are not that far behind. And in some areas they are ahead. Scarily so. It may not be long that China would do what Korea did to catch up to Japan in many areas. Which is the point you're continuously failing to get. And I'm the idiot? I think not. I'm done talking.
@kjk3159 Just because Korea is doing so well in some sectors and industry to say that Korea is ahead of China or Japan is a complete idiocy and naivety as well as arrogance. And you know what? That's exactly why Japan is in the mess they are in. They have grossly underestimated her neighbors. Your sentiment echoes that of Japanese in the late 80's and 90's, and some today. And that's why they are slipping.
Its quite amusing to see you change words from my mouth. What I've said and what I've been saying this whole time was simply that Korea was ahead of China in technological parity and that China has a long time before they can catch Korea. I don't even know what nonsense your blabbering anymore.
@kjk3159 I could say exact same thing. Read what you said below. I'm quoting you word for word almost. And again you're wrong. As I said China may not be making better phone or LCD monitor than Korea now, they are already ahead in Space technology and they could soon overtake Korea and perhaps japan on Bullet train and Passenger Jets. They are ahead in technology that you don't see everyday. So just because Chinese made TV suck, doesn't mean their technology is behind dude.
Even you say that "they could soon overtake Korea and perhaps Japan" and yet you still fail to see my point. I've agreed with every point that China is advancing but still NOT QUITE UP TO PAR WITH KOREA. Do you really think that Chinese infrastructure and technology is equal to Korea? Space technology makes the whole country magically advanced? I am not doubting that China is advancing, but saying that they haven't caught up yet. Wow your so ignorant!
Whole world is recognizing and somewhat weary of the rise of China right now. All the top brass in Korea both political and industrial are aware of this. Sure China has its share of problems it needs to overcome, it is a huge ass country after all. But the development and revenue gathering in their few main cities alone (Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzen etc) can easily trump that of Korea. Korea can't afford to be arrogant. It needs to work harder and know its competitions.
I think its rather arrogant of you to tell Koreans to work harder, even if you are Korean yourself. Don't you know that Korean workers have the longest working hours in the world?
Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzen can't trump Korea. But all of China can. China is bigger than Korea, simply because of its population and cheap labor. Not from technological parity.
Its true that some areas of China are advanced. But its ridiculous to say that it is more advanced than Korea. Korea is among the world's most advanced countries in the world, It will take a long time before China can catch Korea in technology.
@kjk3159 as much as it sounds oddly improbable, it is true. Backed by one of the greatest economic surplus, China is buying up foreign companies for technology and investing heavily in the areas of pure science and technology. Sure they can't make as good of TV, mobile phone and cars than Korea, but their ballistic missile, Space program etc... are more advanced than that of Korea. China sent a man to the space. Korea hasn't yet shot a satellite to orbit.
Problem with China is the fact that the entire country lags behind few advanced areas. Instead of trying to advance the entire country, it focuses on one or two areas to boost national support or to improve global image. This will prove consequently for China once their economy and their currency improves, causing cheap labor market to move out of China. China needs to really focus on strengthening all parts of their economy, or they will face the biggest debt crises in 50 years.
Oh, you are wrong about Korean satellites though, Korea did launch satellites called Arirang-1 and Arirang-2 in the 90's. But I don't think Korea has the public support or funding to push that area, especially with heavy investments into robotics and bioengineering.
I think China will really give America a run for their money when their space program improves.
But I think my point is still valid when I say Korea is still quite ahead of China. But who knows in 50 years.
@kjk3159 Korea shot them using space tech service of Russia and the same goes for sending 1 person outer space Lee So-Yeon. That doesn't count. It's one thing to be proud but the other to be blind. Won't do any good if Koreans aren't aware the current status of their strength and weakness as well as of others no matter how weak they appear. Heck, even North Korea has better ballistic technology than South. Korea is indeed advanced in many areas. But don't be arrogant. That's all I'm saying
I don't see how I am being ignorant by saying South Korea is ahead of China. Is being ahead in ballistic technology somehow make the entire country advanced? I think you fail to see China's weaknesses and strengths and are being ignorant against Korea. What I am simply pointing out is that China focuses too much on one area instead of improving all other areas, lagging behind in other areas. Especially disparity of wealth and technology between provinces.
@kjk3159 You say that China is ignorant of Korea? I would say it's pretty much mutual. Especially if you're not uptodate with the development in China. Too often I see Koreans like you way underestimating China or even Japan. Korea has done very well no doubt. But still far to go to really catch up with Japan in many areas and China isn't that far behind then you think. They should all get a reality check and learn to be humble.
Funny how you address Koreans as "they" and claim yourself as Korean. I'm assuming you're 2nd generation of Korean born foreign-wise or just simply fake. Japan actually lags behind Korea in many areas now, I think you're the one that needs the up-to-date. Try the reality check you're suggesting first on yourself. I think you're ignoring Korea too much. Very humble of you to tell Koreans to get a reality check. Why don't you practice what you preach?
@kjk3159 This is so typical of closed minded Koreans like you going on interrogation of whether I am Korean or not. Is it so fuckin' improbable for Koreans to question or say things that are critical of Korea? Korea is a democratic country. Guys like you make it look like a fascist country where everyone talks and think like you. What a bullshit! You're not the voice of Korea so get off the soapbox. And read what I said carefully. You're not even getting half of what I'm saying.
You say that I am ignorant by proclaiming that Chinese don't know about Korea, yet you say that it's so typical of closed minded Koreans like me to do what I do. I think you need to actually read what your writing before actually sending it. Stop being so hypocritical.
The only assertion I made originally was that Korea was still ahead of China in technology and it will be a long time before China can catch Korea. Why is this so ridiculous for you? Why are you so mad?
@kjk3159 What I said that started all this was me saying that China is ahead of Korea in SOME areas and that they are not all that behind Korea as some Koreans think. And you said that YES China is definitely behind and what I said wasn't true. And as I further gave examples of why what I said was true, you came up with idiotic examples like how Korea sent satellite and people before Chinese did. Which I rebutted isn't quite the case because Korea did so by paying Russia and their rocket.
Also, I have yet to have said the words "China is ignorant of Korea." Where did you get that from? I'm guessing you haven't actually been outside of major cities in China. What you see in cities like Beijing and Shanghai is not something your will see in most other provinces. I'm simply saying that China has too much of a disparity between provinces to actually say that they are in technological par with Korea, can't see why you can't agree with that. Are you Chinese born Korean?
@kjk3159 Korea has done well indeed. And has caught up and even surpassed Japan in many areas. But to say it like Japan is behind Korea, that is great underestimation. Japan is still number 2 economy of the world (almost caught up by China) and still leads in majority of Industrial and Economical and social areas. Korea's dependency in Japanese parts in its greatly touted high-tech achievement is still too great. You did say Chinese don't know much about Korea. That's called ignorance.
Japan is a bloated economy, a bubble economy. An oversize real estate market that bloated the GDP to the 2nd in the world. But came with the great consequence of 192% of GDP in debt. Which means that Japan is 8 trillion dollars in debt. No, Japan is definitely behind Korea in technology now. Because of their mounting debt, most of their infrastructure have remained the same since the 90's except for a few central cities and businesses.
I think what you don't want to hear right now is the fact that China is still quite a developing country, and not a developed one. It will be long before China can catch Korea and that is not something deniable. I have no problem admitting South Korea's weaknesses in certain areas of political and economic issues, but I find that most Chinese have the "CHINA IS THE GREATEST AT EVERYTHING" mentality that they will not bend.
@kjk3159 Lol, first of all, I'm not Chinese. I'm Korean. I do business with the Chinese time to time. Their rate of development is quite scary. Korea can't simply be boastful on their laurels. Many Koreans I met who are like you seem to forget how quickly Korea caught up with Japan in many areas of industry (not that Korea is already superior overall to Japan) There's no reason why China can do same thing Korea has done, and no guarantee Korea won't make Japan's mistake in falling behind
I still fail to see how I am being boastful of Korea by simply commenting that China is still behind Korea. The reason why Japan is lagging behind is because of their huge debt (192% of GDP) and failure to address mounting problems on their economy.
China faces one huge problem as their economy proceeds, their rising currency and the losing of cheap labor market that will follow. China will soon face the biggest economic crisis anyone ever has.
@Xentradi97

@Xentradi97

@Xentradi97

@Xentradi97
Why are you so mad?
kjk3159 1 year ago
@kjk3159 What I said that started all this was me saying that China is ahead of Korea in SOME areas and that they are not all that behind Korea as some Koreans think. And you said that YES China is definitely behind and what I said wasn't true. And as I further gave examples of why what I said was true, you came up with idiotic examples like how Korea sent satellite and people before Chinese did. Which I rebutted isn't quite the case because Korea did so by paying Russia and their rocket.

@Xentradi97
Are you Chinese born Korean?
kjk3159 1 year ago
@kjk3159 Korea has done well indeed. And has caught up and even surpassed Japan in many areas. But to say it like Japan is behind Korea, that is great underestimation. Japan is still number 2 economy of the world (almost caught up by China) and still leads in majority of Industrial and Economical and social areas. Korea's dependency in Japanese parts in its greatly touted high-tech achievement is still too great. You did say Chinese don't know much about Korea. That's called ignorance.

@Xentradi97

@Xentradi97
I think what you don't want to hear right now is the fact that China is still quite a developing country, and not a developed one. It will be long before China can catch Korea and that is not something deniable. I have no problem admitting South Korea's weaknesses in certain areas of political and economic issues, but I find that most Chinese have the "CHINA IS THE GREATEST AT EVERYTHING" mentality that they will not bend.
kjk3159 1 year ago
@kjk3159 Lol, first of all, I'm not Chinese. I'm Korean. I do business with the Chinese time to time. Their rate of development is quite scary. Korea can't simply be boastful on their laurels. Many Koreans I met who are like you seem to forget how quickly Korea caught up with Japan in many areas of industry (not that Korea is already superior overall to Japan) There's no reason why China can do same thing Korea has done, and no guarantee Korea won't make Japan's mistake in falling behind
Xentradi97 1 year ago
@Xentradi97
