  • would you recommend this? i want to get it over the griptilian, the only think im thinking about is that the grip has 154cm, and this 440c. any thoughts? thxs

  • @cschmiedlechner ...I gotta say I still like this knife especially the handle. It's a great knife and the 440C has kept it's edge. Yes I'd recommend it!

Whether you pick this or a Griptilian is going to come down to personal preference.

  • I got the auto version....sweet knife

  • COOL...I like the purple scaled one nutnfancy has...

  • NICE KNIFE

    MITE GET 1 MESELF

    5/5

  • 10-4...

  • 5/5.... Really nice knife J.T, I am going to pick up a Benchmade soon for EDC, just not sure what one I want yet?? Great video as always. Keep your world safe, Paul

  • thanks Paul...Benchmade 710 McHenry & Williams is one of my favorites and a good tactical folder.

Griptilians, Osbournes, Rukus, etc...lots of could choices...J.T.

  • how sharp was this out of the box??? is $60 a good buy for it???

  • Like all Benchmade knives pretty sharp...can't say it shaves hair because I didn't try and it's not my thing.

    Yeah I think $60.00 is a good price...MSRP is $100.00.

  • Benchmade has all kinds of good knives in all kinds of different styles. I'd narrow down what kind of knife you want then find a Benchmade to match. The Rukus and the Griptillian are two very good knives but are very different and excel at very different tasks. I love them both though.

  • Your killing me with these knives.I want to get them all.Wifey hates you lol. Great video as usual. Thanks.

  • You think..."it's a must have" will fly again...lol!

  • nice! I'm lovin the blade design. great review as always JT, keep em coming

  • That blade is moving to the front of my mind. Thanks for the review JT.

  • you're welcome...

  • Great review and knife J.T 5/5

  • thanks...

  • whats the name of the song?

  • click more info...

  • whats this song

  • see side-bar...

  • Another great vid JT, you're a god among insects.

  • thanks for the high praise...but, just a Peckerwood who has guns, knives, and training...lol!

  • It looks a lot like the Gerber drop point Gator.

  • Actually, the main Presidio knives feature aluminum handles and 154cm steel on the blades. VERY nice knives. The Ultra version costs less...so you get the Noryl GTX handle and the 440c steel...which, really, works absolutely fine for most EDC tasks. I enjoyed the review. JT: you seem to like combo edges. Ever have tough time sharpening them?

  • honestly never really dulled one...don't use my blades for mundane task remember. Use scissors, multi-tools, box-cutters, etc...

And don't really sharpen my own blades...when I do feel one needs a touch up or sharpening I take them to a blade smith I know...

  • That seems a little better then. Thanks for the info.

  • Ehh... Good review but just not feeling the love for this knife. Come on Benchmade...really? 440C? Blackclass? Around $100!? *shrugs* Oh well can't win them all.

  • yeah...different style, types, etc...knives appeal to different people..."to each their own."

  • You could even say that same thing about just the benchmade knives by themselves. That company does do a great job of making a veriety of different folders for different people for different purposes. So, you have to give Benchmade their props.

  • I'm no fan of most rap, but this " song " has always cracked me up, I like it. It's like the hip hop version of Bohemian rhapsody!

But I digress. .......... so many cool knives, so little money. Nice vid.

  • this song was stuck in my head the whole day! lol

  • lol!

  • lol me too it's really catchy

  • That's one sick slicer!!!

  • I would love to see a assisted griptilian!

  • I would love to see a larger version of the griptillian. Scratch that, I would love to see a larger version of most of the Benchmade knives.

  • Wicked knife JT! Thanks for sharing it.

  • Barrage all the way.

  • To each their own...huh.
