Both are very good mouses but should not be compared to each other. The MX wasnt built for gaming but the Mamba was. The MX was mostly built for work/internet browsing ALTHOUGH you can still use it for gaming but not get better preformace like the Mamba for gaming. The comfort of the MX wins over the Mamba in MY opinion. BUT!!!!! the mamba is better, it has more buttons that you can custimize, feels almost as good as the MX,very responsive and looks just darn secksi.

Same man, I've had the lycosa keyboard and the deathadder for about 2 years now...I am gonna go pick up the mamba today but I am still very skeptical that a wireless mouse could perform well in a gaming application, or even with photoshop where you need to be very precise with no lag or interference.

The Mamba shouldn't have a free-flying wheel anyway, it's a straight up gaming mouse. Those almost always leave out all the useless buttons and features and stick to the basics and refine them. It also needs a good mousepad to get the most out of that massive sensor, and I have an Exactmat from Razer which works wonderfully. I still think I paid WAY too much for this mouse, but it fits my role perfectly. The Revolution is great for good ol' browsing the web and general work.

MX Revolution is much better because of the mouse wheel, which can be automatically switched by SmartShift Technologie to free mode!

Mine broke today and as in stores they said they dont have this mouse anymore and i should buy logitech performance, but its way more expensive and doesnt have smartshift technologie! what the hell??? now i have my money back but i want the mx revolution again and not this shitty performance mouse, or the razer mamba (not as ergonomic as the mx)...

I'm no gaming expert , but I do play wow a fair amount of time.Mice I used and result were the following

copperhead ( great heavy duty mouse but didn't feel right under my big palm)

Wow mmo gaming wise. (Mega disappointment. the product material is crap. in less than a month and half the spray wore off and buttons started squeaking and to make it worse a button fell apart.

so far using Microsoft X5 . steady but nothing fancy. Mamba looks great though.

I don't understand why people are still using a mouse where you have to move the entire unit back and forth. The best mouse is the Logitech trackman trackball one. One flick of the thumb on the red marble and your curser moves ina micro second! Awesome for FPS games and doesn't give you tendinitis. They take a few days to get used to but they are the best.

-mamba has almost everything i want but i am worrying about how does it fit to my hand and it's really expensive not to have 3 year warranty.

-mx revo fits perfectly 2 my hand and has nice scrolling functions and it's the best looking mouse i have ever seen plus 3 year full warranty.

This video sucks big time. No info what so ever. Dragging the mouse back and forth, clicking the buttons, now that's great info. I can post a video comparing my MX Revolution with a 1994 mouse just dragging it and clicking away. Show something useful. My MX revolution is great and by the looks of it, I'll stay with it, because there are more programmable buttons on it than on the mamba. The only nice thing about the mamba is the packaging. After opening, u chuck it in a drawer, GREAT.

the mx revolution does have alot of buttons.

but it has low dpi, low pollingrate, and probably some input lags depending if the sorrounding has alot of wireless traffic going on.

cause it has a tiny reciever,if theres wireless traffic it wont do anything to avoid it,

the mamba on the other hand.

has high dpi, 1000hz/1ms polling rate.

and also a wireless reciever that has its own mac adress and the ability to avoid wireless traffic by switching tru 24 channels.

i play CSS and i played three years it with my microsoft 5000 wireless laser mouse and it was good enough for me. i think it had same polling rate than revo (125mhz) but better dpi of 1600. revo only has 800 dpi but im not sure does it really matter for me. mamba has it only flaw that if it breaks after 1 year i have to get new mouse. if i buy logitech hi end mouse it has full 3 year warranty and if it breaks i get a new one. and i think its a BIG plus.

u cannot possibly achieve 1:1 tracking with it.

i just got revo. and i like it. when logitech comes out with a revo like gaming mouse im to get that one. it's not designed for gaming but sure does better job than my ball mouse. and revo is without a doubt the best looking mouse there is in my opinion everything on my desk looks like high end now, and it's not that i wouldn't have the money to buy new mouse every year, but long warranty is nice to have.

if it does just better than my old ball mouse in CS:S im glad.

the razer mamba has also a better laser than usual its called 3.5 instead of 3.0 as other mouses use so im sitting on this lan and for the razer mamba you must have a steady hand and play with headset because of the base comming out of your subwoofer set some headsets on and that problem would disserpier
