  • Saw these guys last night at Highline. All new stuff. Got Omar's pick after they went home. Shitty performance overall, but Omar apologized to make it all better. Zechs Marquise was unbelievable. I was really shocked at how good they are live. I'd highly recommend seeing them ASAP.

  • EDERLY PAIR BEATEN WITH HAMMER A MENU OF ALL INSIGNIFICANT OTHERS!!!!

  • what disc is this song?

  • What is TBIG?

  • @physicsmusico The Bedlam In Goliath

  • @DandelionVolta Oh duh!!! Thanks :D Whens the Mars Volta making a new album? I know Omars doing alot as always, but the need to make another album after Octahedron!!! Hopefully darker :D

  • @physicsmusico Omar always makes some albums in between, but something he doesn't release them, or at least that's what he says. They have started pre production for the next album some days ago and the lastest solo record will come out soon, it's called Sepulcros De Miel (Sepulchers of Honey). Check the Coma for more info.

  • i think that juan needs to be more of a topic in all of omars project, now that manis a beast also

  • I wonder what it would have been like if Zach Hill joined the Mars Volta instead of Thomas Pridgen....

  • I guess it wouldn't be so different from this. I think Thomas is here to stay.

  • Meh... This is a lot less musically brilliant than Volta's stuff. I mean, imagine Bedlam with Hill. Better? I think so.

  • Maybe, but I still love this album as much as a Volta record. Personally I think Thomas was one of the best aspects of TBIG.

  • Umm, i beg the differ. (If your not a comatorium member, he's not in the volta anymore, david eltich is their current drummer)

  • I know, I have both on facebook haha, Thomas said he "still gots love for the Big O"

  • yeah, its a shame thomas is a beast.

  • @thealmightybubble There's a bootleg on the forum, almost sounds like Theodore is on drums. He just needs to improvise a little more.

  • well it would be different in some way but i dont think it would be far of last two albums, still omar and cedric make tmv what it is:DD

  • meh. thomas pridgen is better for TMV. hes more musical an knows how to flow with the music.

Zach is crazy and should keep to math rockish bands where musicality isnt as important as shreding

  • Well, just think for a second what Hill would have done with Octahedron, or even Bedlam. I just like the sound of Zach Hill and his drum's sound when he plays anything... I think they would have began leaning toward the sound of De-Loused, which is my favorite era.

I'm slowly becoming more accepting of Thomas though, especially seeing footage of their current tour. He plays so great on songs lke Inertiatic and a song I never thought they'd play again... Eunuch Provocateur.

  • again. Zach plays loud and fast ALL THE TIME.

theres no issue with that and he deffinatly has mega good chops. but Thomas knows when to pull back and not steal the spotlight, let the other instruments shine.

i was saying thomas style is much better suited for the mars volta which is a group that focuses on "musicallity"

yes even in de-loused they pulled back the reins in songs like televators.

how many songs has zach hill done under 90BpM?

  • @iwazused he says he never plays slow, as he's more interested in music that is always continuously flowing, rather than dynamics. fair play to him i say, don't do what you don't wanna do.

  • someone else from hella is on board for this one.. I forget who, but it seems it was the keyboard/bassist. pity it wasn't spencer symes, but then he would have the integrity to not supplement to OMARRRRR RODRIGUEZZZZZZ LOPEZZZZZZ

  • Yeah! this works so well all together! warren oates is my favorite part though,

  • Zach Hill is an amazing drummer

  • 4.03 seems to be the undeveloped idea which would later be turned into closing of wax simulacra

  • Yeah it reminds me a little about Wax and this was recorded in 2006. What about the title Idle Tooth? maybe a previous version is in one of Omar's unreleased albums? Like RFT

  • I think it's one song but I don't see why divide it... I don't think someone asked him to split it to make it look like an LP instead of an EP

  • They probably did split it, like Frances the Mute which is only four songs

  • originally i thought that all the audio on this video was one song. and it was fucking amaazing. haha but they're three songs, and i love all of them.

  • :34

    god i love cedric's mind

  • WHAT THA FUCK?

  • his musical mind?

  • Cedric says : "elderly pair beaten with hammer!"

  • imo, the only good part of the album.

  • thats cuz u love nsync

  • i've heard better. i've got the original mp3s. i think this is still on vinyl

  • It's a wav cd rip, 1411 kbps

  • Could you send me the mp3s? :P

  • whats your email? i can send it to you if you want

  • I'll send you a pm with my email

  • hey can you send it to me too pls lol

    (you dont have too)

  • because it's a cd rip :)

  • Best quality i've heard so far...shhhh dont tell anyone
