@hish55 Santana were already big before this was recorded. Don't you think the title of the track is a clue? Check the band's website and you'll see that they acknowledge the link
I remember it well and thinking it WAS Santana. First heard it on the CBS triple-album sampler 'The Music People' in 1971.
@enterprise1954 Inspiration on Jingo and Soul Sacrifice is evident but well taken. Titanic was a powerful collectors band with at least 5 classic tracks. I'd dare guesing the chorus on Sultana might have even been inspired by crowd chants in the Woodstock festival/movie. Just my imagination?
@MrErlingT Sorry, but according to the book about the band, sultana was recoded at Morgan Studios UK in 1971, and released in a lot of countries the very same year. some record labels read 1970, but that is wrong. No records by Tantanic were at all released until 1970. 1968, you catch a brother off guard with this s**t!!!!

Brilliant i was transported back to a hall of mirrors at Margate with my first girlfriend where we first heard this......1970 or so oh to be young again thanks for putting this on actually the tune wasn't bad
Great record. Still have the original, though no longer have a record player. Thanks for uploading this, brings back happy memories of being 16 years old.
