Nice! I've got a similar setup myself - 700RB II with a GK 412 NEO. Love it! I wonder what kind of settings you're using on your amp! GK NEO 12'' cabs are naturally middy in the hi mids section so I usually cut the hi mids a bit, sounds like you do too, you've got a nice fat modern tone.
Hey ! Is your Gallien-Krueger 700RB-II powering a 15'' and 2 10'' ??? if so is your amp handling that ok, I mean could it be used in a full band setup ???
@sideshowseb It's running a Neo 212-II and Neo 112-II. Just the 112 is enough for me to keep up with a full band. The 212 overpowers, and the stack can play for several thousand (Assuming as I Was able to be about ten times louder than the whole band combined in a crowd of 1000. But again, venues have PAs and the stacks are for the various times when you need them (and you will). Oh yeah, it handles it perfectly.
@sideshowseb Thanks! I finished a Selkies cover but then it suddenly quit making noise and I have no motivation to redo it. I'm not finding motivation to finish up Prequel either.
@VladicD Absolutely! The sound is killer! I have a 212 & 112 Neo-II setup. Never heard the 410s but I've heard they're incredibly punchy. Dan uses a Fender Sunn300T head with an Ampeg 810 cab. Honestly, I've gotten a tone that is an EXACT IMAGE of his live tone and studio tone with thick nickel strings. I can send you the settings. Watch the colors studio footage and wait for him to play viridian. I used a Spector NS5CRFM at the time. I use a Euro 5LXEX now. 12s are cheaper and smoother
@jarhead4214 Hey! Tnx for you reply, did that guy you recomended to me using rb700 in studio? And tell me please, did you record this video with mic or just DI? Becouse i can't see. Thank you!
@VladicD He's the bassist for between the buried and me. In studio I believe he just runs his Spector bass direct into an interface and EQs it. Justin Chancellor of Tool uses a 2001 (700 with more wattage and two channel feature) he just runs one dirty and one clean. That can be obtained by using a boss ODB-3 pedal. Norm Stockton uses a 1001RB-II head (EXACT as 700 but more watts) -- you can check it out just by typing in gallien-krueger () com and he's playing the intro track.
@VladicD I wish I had gotten a 410 instead of a 212. But I was more into Protest, so the 212 fit me perfectly. Not that I'm complaining, of course . Actually, I just want both.
@jarhead4214 Indeed i agree, i have input gain na 12 o'clock, lots of contour and presence(i like clicky sound) and lots of treble and bass and scooped middles, because of ibanez sr905 has lots of annoying middles. I works like a charm, i'm can't wait to get my 4x10 neo cab :)
@VladicD I got half-rounds just like Dan uses. ALl I can say is don't. Stick with Nickel strings. (listen to Mirrors & Informal Gluttony covers) -- with halves you can get ONLY his live tone, or a worse tone. With the nickels I could get live and album tones.
@DrumKilla95 I was holding out for a green or aqua Euro... but then I found this at a GC in New Jersey for $1100 after taxes & shipping (same as a regular Euro) and couldn't pass it up. Good thing GC's Zip Code search function didn't work!
dudeeeee fucking superb. i take off my hat for you.

@VladicD Bought your rig yet? If you go to the GK website, the intro piece is played with a GK head just like mine and he uses neo 212 cabs.

@jarhead4214 Hey! I bought a GK700RB, now i'm waiting for my salary to get 4x10 neo box.
Anyway I borrowed 1x15' box from a friend, head works like a charm :)

@VladicD As far as tone goes, I keep my contour maxed, presence around 2:00, then work from there. CONTOUR IS YOUR BEST FRIEND.
