im pretty sure this is using one of Mark Tilden's microcore circuits, or some variation of it. If im wrong somebody please correct me. IF i'm right, there are numerous tutorials for this circuit all over the web.
nvm its a mstr/slave bicore. how did you get the motors to pulse so slowly? in my robot, the pulses occur very rapidly and the robot has no opportunity to do that "controlled falling" forward style of walking. please help me out.
no solar panels are one of the many power sources!!!!!!!!!!!! you should read more about beam robotics, mainy of mark T. s designs are not solar powered!
A friend and I rigged something similar a couple of weeks ago, but haven't been able to find appropriate motors/ gear boxes. I hear they need to be about 30rpm. We've broken a lot of toys looking for them.
Nice robot, but i prefer wheeled robots, because the electronics on them aren't burdened by the leg movement computing. Never the less, it looks cool!
Amazing robot!!
Where I can get the schemematics for this robot? you could send it to me please! thanks!

These robots can be used to search in places were people can't go...very useful item..I like it

very nice. What IC's did you use?

Sorry for the slow response, Rustihkov, but to answer your question, the IC's used are a couple of 74HC240's and a 74HC14.

That's the beauty of BEAM robots though. They don't compute, they just run on instinct and relatively simple circuitry.
