  • The flickering is back now... don't know why

  • @rubbercarplor

Had the same issue but now no more A/V through HDMI out !

  • @Jonjonchevy

Yeah. I just have a black screen now. No matter what Idevice I use. Is that how yours crapped out?

  • @rubbercarplor

Yup all black w/HDMI out but Component out just fine.

    I found out why :

    - The capacitors on the HDMI board burned (because Onkyo use cheap ones and don't handle the heat very well !)

    - Need to plug you home theater system on power surge w/clean power stage 1 from power Cable. (I notice when it began to flicker I though it was I had bad power so I plug my receiver on the power surge/clean power, it was fine but lake of money I only have the smaller one so won't fit the all set.

I'm gonna to fix it myself next week, so if you need help let me know. It's quite easy but it take a bit time and patience.

  • @rubbercarplor

P.S. : as soon as it flicker that means at least one SMD capacitor start to be bad so need to change' em.

  • I replaced it with another cable that I had. It seems to be working better now!

    thanks

  • HDMI with a bad quality , replace it with an one high-quality.
