I lost my sheltie on 9th January. She was only 1, we put her down because she got off her lead and was hit by a car. I loved her so much, she didn't even last a year with us

my sisters dog was a chihuahua/mini pin mix and she died also in november from seizures, two months later, this past monday, jan 23, 2012, my pomchi sparky died from complications of bowel problems, we both lost our loved little faithful pets so close together, i have to wonder....my heart is broken forever....

I'm so sorry for your loss, but thank you for posting this. My sheltie died at the age of 12, almost 13, on Thanksgiving Day this year. We weren't even there. My family and I were visiting my sister and her first son when we heard the news. The person watching our dogs found him that morning and told us. My mom has watched this so many times since she found it and it's helping her heal.

@12345648261 Thank you for your condolescences Janine, this week has been the mark of her first death anniversary... definitely still miss her very very much. It will always be hard, but time has indeed made it just a little bit easier. Just a little... While I pray for Pudding this week, I shall also pray for your sheltie as well <3,

Your sweet Pudding was just as cute as our Sammy was. We had to give her up to a sheltie rescue service in order to move to a "No Pets Allowed" apartment. My sister cried for weeks after that. Thanks for sharing.

Of all the different breeds of dogs we had over the years, I think it is hardest to lose a sheltie. It had been 3 years and we still miss ours dearly.

man that sucks i had to put mine down bout 6 years ago. now i'am a beliverin ghost but i swear she has visited me on atleast 2 occasions once while was on the computer she would sit next the the slideing glass window. and then once while i was asleep when she was alive she would lay at my feet every now and then and to this day i belive it was her checking up on me. damn i loved that dog.

Shelties are the most awesome. My beloved Tiffany died Sept. 16, 2010. She was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma when she was 4. The oncologist gave her 6 weeks to 6 months to live. She must have known I would need her to help me through some tough times ahead. She died two months before her 15th birthday. No dog could ever replace her. They are the most loving dogs ever,

Your story broke my heart. I lost my sheltie, Lucy, when she was 14 years old. She had terrible seizures for about 20 minutes before she died in my arms. It was so traumatic for me that my husband had to stay with her. She was also my best friend and even now, 4 months later, I still cry because I miss her so much. I hope you got another beautiful sheltie to help ease your pain.

This is sad I'm a photographer I could kick myself for not taking more video of my Chelsea i do have one of her playing and barking .. They are the best dogs, they are so full of love and fun. For those of you that have pets take as much video and photos as you cant , they don't live forever enjoy every day as if its the last.

he was a shetland mixd with a pomeranian, his name was teddy, he got hit by a car, im 17, nd that was the saddest day of my life he was the most different dog ever, he had a personality of many animals and we never seen a dog who acted like him, i will never forget him

I read alot of people's comments they were good! Ever since I was little. I was 5 years old and  I went to the mall with my mom and sister in the year of 2000. We went to a store called Beanie Babies aka ty I was looking for the right one to choose suddenly as soon as my eyes lighted up like crystals I found it! A dog that as a shetland sheep dog I looked at the tag the was name was Cassie on the above a beautiful silver coloring square. My mom bought it. I keep hugging it. Now I still have her

They are angels. We have three. Joey, Violet and Roddy. Joey is 8. Violet is 7. Roddy is 1 year. We just lost our Robbie about 8 months ago to a brain tumor. He was my boy. We've had five altogether. Don't know if we'd have any other breed.
