I had never heard this poem set to music. I used to read it to my students before taking them to sing Christmas carols at local nursing homes. Thank you for posting this.
Very moving video - it reminds us that we will all grow old one day (if we're lucky). It's easy to see an elderly person and think they have no life - but we should remember that many of them have had a greater life than we can ever know. Maybe someone will look at us like that one day.
We watched this in my nursing theory class today. I cried, and I'm crying again.
