@sp0rtsjunkE92 It would probably sound like this: "Manning, out of the gun, steps back, under pressure, has to get away (voice increasing), he does, heaves it downfield, and it's CAUGHT BY DAVID TYREE AGAINST HIS HELMET!!!!!!!!! HE PINNED THE BALL AGAINST HIS HELMET! WOOOOOOOOOOOW!...AND THE NEW YORK GIANTS HAVE NEW LIFE!" I dunno, maybe something like that lol
Pressure from Thomas off the edge! Eli Manning...stays on his feet...airs it out down the field...it is caught by Tyree.
Yes that was Joe Buck's call of this play. Note the lack of an exclamation mark on that last sentence. Aikman rescues him with "Oh, my God! This ball's thrown and Tyree goes up for it like a basketball player, Harrison trying to knock it down. And Eli Mann-I don't know how he got out of there, I thought he was on the ground and then he came out of the pile and just slings it!"
Marv "The Parve" Albert is one of the all time great play by play men. I remember when NBC gave him the pink slip. Then he went home and tried it on. If his rug looked any cheaper it would come with a chin strap. It is very appropriate Marv now calls the YES Network home.
Joe Buck definitely blew it on the entire game beween the Packers and Cardinals in this recent NFC Wild Card round. I mean, that was a very exciting game, and friggin' Joe Buck just sounded so boring. Fire that dude and put his ass in a very less exciting sport known as baseball, since Joe Buck is a very boring announcer.
Shit Marv Albert needs to start calling football games for FOX!!! He's been calling football for a long time besides NBA basketball. He did NFL games on NBC back in the 80's and 90's.
the call buck made sounds like an 8-yard reception in the 2nd quarter....on the other side, nobody seizes a great moment like Marv. An inspiration to young broadcasters like myself.
haha blame the refs you pussy ass Bostonian. Thats why Brady was the Giants personal pinata that game. 18-1* Dont forget the star next to all your other "titles" too.
marv albert is the voice of basketball just like harry kalas was the voice of baseball...both did a excellent job calling nfl games as well...but their is something unqiue when marv calls the eli manning and tyree catch...joe buck did a good job but marv did a great job
For a former NFL player, Troy Aikman is actually a pretty good analyst. He's not as bad as Phil Simms or Cris Collinsworth but Joe Buck is just garbage. He makes the game sound more boring than golf. How can you not be excited when watching this play live? Tynes making the game-winning FG against green bay was no different. This guy is seriously anti-giants.
Notice how at around 0:14 the stadium is practically dead silent before the crowd gives off one BIG BURST of cheering when Tyree makes the catch. Just awsome!
think about it really is unbeliveable eli almost gets sacked and somehow manges his way out of it and throws it down feild just up for grabs and behold!it just happends to be the much milant that was just dropping everything in the practice b4 the game david tyree and some how hangs on with one of the most phiscal safeties (roodney harrison)in the game riding his back and does not let it hit the ground by cradleing it to his helmet and doesnt let roodney strip it out if thats not destiny...
It must be because Fox is in love with Buck. As a Giants fan, it pissed me off that he had no emotion in the call. He is supposed to be neutral, but that was the best play I ever saw!
Did he ever do HBO? Well, in any case, Jim Lampley seems very good as the play by play man for HBO boxing. Someone just needs to replace that old far Larry Merchant.
Lampley is good but Albert was better IMO. Albert wasn't a big of a nuthugger Lampley is (at times). Plus, Lampley, especially when he called Fernando Vargas fights, overdoes his emotions sometimes.
buck is such a sad parody of an big game announcer... let's just be glad at least there's a RECORD of marv calling it... dont ever have listen to buck's call again, or only for the contrast.. thanks for posting this... got marv's call of the burress catch?
Joe Buck has been forced upon us by satan in return for this play. Seriously we are going to have to hear joe buck for the next 20 years call this play. Urgh,

Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are employed as the "flagship" duo of Fox's NFL coverage?
They are putrid garbage and should be disposed of with the utmost urgency.
