to build this properly to exact proportions and wire pathway, you need to study Randy Powell's seminar and you will see how it relates to when Marko says. "everyone is winding the coil wrong)
@pkrska Tesla hated John Keely… but after seeing his competition denounced, hit by a street car and linger to a painful death from pneumonia… his wildest fancy imagined… he left this quote, to commemorate Keely with a epic birthday gift, for an epic competition… the very year that he died. If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9...
When reviewing Marko's diagrams, I've noticed that his sequence of 1 though 9 is described as a cross-section of the torus, and when we see the number pattern on the skin of the torus as viewed from above (like a donut) it does have 12 sections. Remember - 9 is from the side, and 12 is from the top. At least, that is my interpretation... and i'll be the first to admit it could well be wrong. *shrug* what can ya do... but build more coils!
Hi nice Rcoil!!can you connect this like a joulethief?...Im very curious about the results. There are 100´s of people xperimenting with simples joule thiefs lightnig cfrs, charging batteries, etc ...I think that the rcoil works better than a simple toroid coil. These xperiments are very simple..but have very important clues.

for the JT replace the transistor for a 2n3055 and add more leds
Thank you alex! There are a couple different ways of winding these, and I'm hoping to try each variation. At the moment I'm sticking with this one and testing it with different combinations of magnets, Bedini SSG circuitry, and generator configurations. The Bedini tests could easily incorporate a JT, and I've thought about it already... if/when I attack it, I'll let you know!
That's how it worked out with the pins at 30 degrees, also I think it is the 'multiple of three' concept that is most important - and some of Marko's diagrams appear similar to the layout I used.
The important thing to me was using paired wire and leaving a space between each pair. It was difficult to wind while insuring the wires did not twist - I tried to keep it as straight along its path as I could.
I do think it worthwhile to experiment with other styles - like 9 sections.
Quite right Jamie, good eye for detail! You pointed out the real issue with this coil - When I wound it, I made an effort to 'keep the wires straight and parallel', without realizing I should have been following the path they would take around the inner form of the toroid. The inversion/twist you mention is exactly what I missed to do that. Though I still use this original coil, I have since been following the correct twist with all wire pairs properly aligned across the whole circumference.
I really want to get a donut object of the right proportions so that the wire is one the surface the whole way around. Would have made the mistake immediately obvious. Sigh - "just keep truckin' on", right?

could you use cotton wire for the 3-6-9 wire?

Great video.
Very well done and easy to follow.

you have it wrong
check rodins diagram again
wind on pins every 40 degrees
1=2-4-8-7-5-1 and repeat
good luck

How does this wind compare to the more "traditional" rodin coil design of 1 wire, then the next wire, then space?
Thank you for sharing.

It is solid copper, 24 gauge. Thanks!

okay so now that you have a rodin coil, what are you going to do with it?
lawsonrw 2 years ago
I would still like to see it with 9 sections
rather than 12.
I don't understand how the 12 is what Rodin is talking a bout.

You have 1 - 2 - 4 on the one side, the mirror side is 5 - 7 - 8.
Now you have one whole polarity circle with 6 stations.
With the other polarity it becomes 12..
3 - 6 - 9 is the empty space in between the wiring and also referred to as spirit.
But I think I know what you mean with 9 section, because everything is controlled by 3.
1 - 2 - 4
5 - 7 - 8
3 - 6 - 9

Maybe you should twist the wires creating an inversion through the center.
