@cinbin123 The GT500 is only a little more expensive..Compare to a Boss since they are same price. Boss still beats it in every category. And teh 5.0 is running same and faster then this over priced car. I love the look of the Chally but it is not worth the 45k price tags and that is before every dealer marks them up 10k.
I really like the pistol grip shifter. I really wish they would have dropped some weight instead of putting a bigger, HEAVIER engine in it. Makes more power, sure, but still seems a little counterintuitive.
i wouldn't call it a mustang eater and the boss is do out not to mention the gt500 but it doesn't need to its a very very different car if you want to find out take it on long trips enjoy the smooth ride and irs attempt to fill the trunk with your weekend luggage and you can actually sit in the back seat if need be not to mention its best part killer retro styling and muscle I love both cars for different reasons i love that the "big 3 " are making such sweet rides
Beautiful car, what a shame though at 4300 lbs. This car would be a dog on any roadcourse at speed, not too mention the brake fade which would be ridiculous. If it were 1000lbs lighter, I'd buy one tomorrow.

@DIRT440HP Just made my Challenger ram air functional. Cervinis makes a kit for the R/T and SRT. It has a more even performance now throughout the rpm range. Improved throttle response. Love it. They have some that gives you the classic retro shaker hood... or like I have.. using the stock Challenger hood to make the ram air functional.

The new mustang gt500 looks like a girley car. It lost its menacing look when Ford decided to put curves on it. Dodge challenger is what I call a real MUSCLE. Muscle cars have their quality and is not comparable to sports cars.
392ci and still can't outrun a 331ci only thing I can say is it a nice looking car with lots of power maybe it can outrun a SS but not a GT500. Hell a 5.0 may get the job done.

I used to beat GT's with my R/T as well. I was useally close...however I did win everytime. My SRT 8 392 hasn't been tested against any fords or chev's yet

The 392 will not touch the gt on skipped track and that's a fact. Put in 2011 gt vs camaro 2011 both convertibles the stang runs 12.9 or you can put in boss 302 running 11.75 or put in gt 500 1/4 11.15 stock jackwagon.

Ya know....car looks AWESOME outside...could have went a little more 'classic' with the dash but w/e....otherwise, I am all about a sunroof in a 'luxury' car or suv but my personal opinion it should be left out of a want to be classic car like this. This car is very appealing though...has Dodge / Chrysler improved their less than par quality since the bankruptcy? I loved the jeep Cherokee until it became trash 2004- on.

@cinbin123 The GT500 is only a little more expensive..Compare to a Boss since they are same price. Boss still beats it in every category. And teh 5.0 is running same and faster then this over priced car. I love the look of the Chally but it is not worth the 45k price tags and that is before every dealer marks them up 10k.

I really like the pistol grip shifter. I really wish they would have dropped some weight instead of putting a bigger, HEAVIER engine in it. Makes more power, sure, but still seems a little counterintuitive.

i wouldn't call it a mustang eater and the boss is do out not to mention the gt500 but it doesn't need to its a very very different car if you want to find out take it on long trips enjoy the smooth ride and irs attempt to fill the trunk with your weekend luggage and you can actually sit in the back seat if need be not to mention its best part killer retro styling and muscle I love both cars for different reasons i love that the "big 3 " are making such sweet rides

Beautiful car, what a shame though at 4300 lbs. This car would be a dog on any roadcourse at speed, not too mention the brake fade which would be ridiculous. If it were 1000lbs lighter, I'd buy one tomorrow.

@DIRT440HP Just made my Challenger ram air functional. Cervinis makes a kit for the R/T and SRT. It has a more even performance now throughout the rpm range. Improved throttle response. Love it. They have some that gives you the classic retro shaker hood... or like I have.. using the stock Challenger hood to make the ram air functional.

The new mustang gt500 looks like a girley car. It lost its menacing look when Ford decided to put curves on it. Dodge challenger is what I call a real MUSCLE. Muscle cars have their quality and is not comparable to sports cars.

392ci and still can't outrun a 331ci only thing I can say is it a nice looking car with lots of power maybe it can outrun a SS but not a GT500. Hell a 5.0 may get the job done.

@biggboy73 it dynoed at 443rwhp. Looks like dodge heavily underrated it claiming to be 470. Like I said the challenger is naturally aspirated power. If you want to compare it to the GT500 which has forced induction put a supercharger on the challenger. It will annihalate the GT500

The 392 Challenger put down a 12.44 on street tires...just search 392drags on youtube. What is even more funny is that the GT500 needs a supercahrger to do it. The challenger is all engine. Mopar is always going to own Ford.

I wanted a Challenger, but Dodge doesnt want me to get 1 because they wont put this thing on a Diet. If Dodge just reduced the weight so that it could at leat beat the Camaro ss and Mustang gt in a straight line then they would sell like Crazy. But Dodge must like lossing as well as losing all the money they would be getting from people like me. @coolvideo28 First of all Dodge isn't stopping you from buying it, you just don't want the car. Secondly it's called "modding" if you want more power to beat the competition. No one who races keeps their car stock. The best times i've seen for all the srt8, gt, and ss have all been within .3 of each other with skilled drivers behind the wheel. the driver can have a big effect on 1/4 mile times. Pussies like you can't handle these cars which is why Dodge doesn't care about losing your buisness

@rolandrage It doesn't have to get smaller to lose weight. An aluminum frame like the z06 would have been a great start. Also some carbon fiber parts would be good too. A smaller Challenger would be weird though.

Show the car under extreme dynamic conditions, ie braking, cornering! Thats what will show its handling prowness! This video is fine, but doesnt show the cars at full tilt.
