  • Man..last words of the song, purely haunting.

  • absolutely amazing cover. thank you so much for sharing...

  • Never heard the original, but this version is just... addicting!

  • just like The Cure - Homesick WTF?

  • The vocals should be more exposed. Though I know the original version of "Homesick" here I don't understand a word. Too noisy, even many of "forest" black metal bands have clearer sound. Anyway, rock on, every kind of expression is welcome until it is sincere and original.

  • Lovely cover instrumentally and well sung by the lead vocalist, but Armine's growling backing vocals feel superfluous and out of place this time around.

  • Woke up at 1 am to listen this, can't sleep. This music really makes me feel awake and I can see so much things that are wrong in my life. The background voice is almost like hearing my own soul shouting at me something like "wake up, what the heck are you doing in your life! ". Rosetta music is for people that are really not content and didn't find yet salvation in their life.

  • Being a massive fan of The Cure and Rosetta, when I heard they covered this I was like 'NO WAY!'

Listening to it now, it totally lives up to expectations.

  • i miss lady gaga

  • This is what covers should sound like! Not just a copy of an already existing song but an entirely new (own) intepretation of the song.

I didn't even know this was a cover at first. Good job Rosetta! See you in June!

  • Whenever I try listening to the original, I just can't believe how badly the vocals were done. Maybe that was what they were going for, I dunno. Still, no disprespect to The Cure as they were obviously geniuses. Rosetta really nailed the vocals on this one

  • Burn the witch! [witch = one who didn't like the song] ;)

  • I'm actually pretty sure it's the bassist doing the clean vocals in this one. I saw them at a live show recently and he was doing the clean vocals on Release.

  • great cover, thanks!

  • This group "Rosetta" is unusually talented. Outstanding work!

  • Who's the one person that goes around disliking Rosetta videos.

  • @Thismeaningtoitall Whoever they are, they're retarded and probably have ears that bleed when they hear anything that isn't Lady Gaga.

  • @North0house

could might as well be me, since this is probably the second of the two songs I like, since I(me, personally, as in - my opinion) find almost nothing redeemable in their sound.

    and I don't like gaga.

  • @Humanoids Lol, I wasn't gonna accuse you of liking Lady Gaga.

To each his own. Everyone's entitled to their opinions.

  • if they played this live with robert smith id get a boner

  • Good Job Rosetta! LOVE IT. I'd love to hear mike sing more in the originals, ya sound great man, PLEASE PLAY LIVE NEAR ME!!!!

  • muy buena versión....

  • this is off the split EP with east side of the wall and year of no light. you can buy the album off the translation loss website!!

  • thank you so much for posting this. i've been wanting to share this with people. i have some live videos of rosetta on my page and some stop animation videos i made using rosetta's music.

  • It's not Armine on the clean vocals. it's actually the bass player.

  • is that michael armine on the clean vocals? always thought he was a great screamer but i've never heard him do clean singing before. pretty good actually, i'm impressed.

  • i cant stop listening to this song. its just an amazing cover of an amazing song. thanks for uploading it so i can share it with friends!

  • @crushingtowers my pleasure ;-)

  • This is an awesome cover.

Just curious which cd this song came off of, because I recently bought TGS and Wake/Lift and love them. I would definately be keen to buy more of their material, but I didn't know there was more!

  • This song was posted on the band's myspace page and is due to appear on a split cd with Year of No Light and East of the Wall, so you won't find it on cd yet (I had to search the 'torrent universe' to get hold of it and post it here).

Anyway, in 2007 they published a split with Balboa, called 'Project Mrcury' - if you oved TGS, you'll like these songs too (search youtube for the instrumental song "TMA-1" and you'll see what I mean... ;-)

  • sorry for the spelling mistakes: the split is called 'Project Mercury'
