  • Yes, Good Detail, but man... umm couldn't you think of something better to draw ?

  • Need to see details to understand why it took a year and half to do a drawing. I have unfinished drawing from when I was 7. I should finish one, that way it will have taken me 36 years to have finished :)

  • Wow thats a lot of detail work

  • really awesome drawing in tablet is harder than paper, i can see why it took u a year and so to finish,, THUMBS UP TO U!!

  • very nice and complex by the amount details, but quality on the video is bad.

  • 1.5 years in the making took a kid only 30 seconds get bored dislike and say something dumb in the comments about your work... irony or poetic injustice?

  • ...so... why didn't you do this work in pencil... would it have saved time? nice work by the way.

  • dude...that is amazing.

  • 1.5years? unless ur doing this picture using a BIC pen on a 3*3m canvas...

  • The one and a half years might mean they only worked on it every so often?

  • It's weary good, but I don't believe u that you did this in 1.5 years... And it could be done quicker that that.... :p

  • WoO0OoW

  • This is truly a excellent piece, I can see 1.5 years put into this

  • Pretty bad for a whole year dude, I've seen better done in 1 month.

  • Woaw 1.5 years :0. Awesome dedication!!! I'm also looking for one that will only be used for drawing. But I don't know what is the best one to buy since I want to keep my budget low. It will be used only for drawing.

  • im gunna come and attack it with the eraser tool! :D mwhahaha, im joking, you did a really good job man, keep it up

  • ...now what

  • I doubt it would take you that long to draw this, even though I admit it IS pretty good, it wouldn't take you THAT long to do considering you took the time to scan it after adding tiny bits onto it...

  • @kiz890 it's drawn on a tablet on the computer so I do believe that there is no scanning of the picture. jst save files added to show us the progress.

  • realy good see you next year with your new one :)

  • I like to draw too! visit my channel ;)

  • fantastic work! I can see why it took so long. I think the end result was worth the time invested.

  • nice work, yknow life gets in the way of finishing a piece sometimes, and for me personally, i get distracted easily. kudos for finishing your work, an eventual persistence

  • Hey! The tree took time to grow OK?

  • @BedoDaVinci I apologize for fellow humanity's ignorance. Only another artist (like myself) can understand why something like this took so long. Just know that all is not lost and your work is truly appreciated by me! I would love to buy a print one day (when I'm able. Starving artist, ya know). It really is an excellent piece and I'm amazed at your skill. Do you have a DeviantArt? I would like to watch you on there :)

  • Guys don't bash the artist. You have no idea what they were going through at the time of the drawing or how busy with real life they were. It was also probably a very large and detailed file, much more detailed than can be seen here. Before you criticize, bash, and troll, take a second to think first. To the OP: Awesome work!

  • how often did u add to it?

  • is that a tree? or is that ginseng? what the fuck is that anyway?

  • @throughhighsandlows They're trees

  • *X's it out* Oh shit... forgot to save.

  • i can do that in 2 weeks dedicated time with a silenced dark room, and im not very talented,, unfortunately i dont have that dedicated time or the dark silence room :( and i would write my life instead to sell it :)(, skeeping just a few moments :}}}

  • this reminds me of duke nukem forever

  • Can you imagine if one stroke before he finished he accidentally deleted it? Lol...

  • Comment removed

  • This comment took me 6 months. lol

  • @kervin3233 your too late, 5 months ago someone said it took them 3 months to do that, this one took me 48.5 years... because it is sooooooooooo long... =_=

  • lol one brush stroke a day

  • *PFFT* 1.5 YEARS? Jesus dude, I mean I know something like this would take a long while but... fucking hell man..

  • Tried a tablet before and it takes about 3-4 times more time then just using a pen or pencil. 1.5 yrs seems a long time, I'd have been tempted to throw the tablet in the bin and start from scratch with pencil on paper after a couple of days. Nice drawing though. Oh, were you getting paid by the hour?!?

  • Comment removed

  • It's wonderful! :)

  • amazing!

  • ima guess 2 weeks of actual time working on it with an extra week or two of trial and error or scraped parts.

  • Looks darn good.

  • lmfao i could draw that in like 3hrs with a pencil and like a few days with a tablet...1.5 years is a bit of a stretch

  • @FabricateFrog

kk, draw one... In 4 days from this message, upload your version, so we could see it??

  • i dont realy like this kind of art work im more of a horse gurl but this is awsome

  • @blueroanfilly1 "more of a horse girl" what does that even mean, you prefer any drawing if it has a horse in it? lmao point is, its a cool picture, there's a lot of effort in place with that much layering..

  • Beautiful Work! btw, What is the musical score in ur vid??

  • All that work for 800x1000 pixels... Sheesh. Why would you do that to yourself. Hope you never want to print this into a postcard. All joking aside... GREAT WORK!

  • For an image with this much detail, having a resolution of 800x1000 is absolutely pitiful.

  • Hmmm. It's been about 3 and a half years. Are you doing the coloring now?

  • At that rate you can do about 40 drawings in your lifetime...better pick em good.

  • So what you're saying is... You're a turtle.

  • jan 8 - Feb 9 - March 10 dude, if I drew one line and then waited an entire month to do another line, of course anyone would take a year to complete a drawing

  • This is beautiful and I can be the first to admit that with such great detail that it would have taken a long while to do such work. On the other hand, I find it hard to believe that at a constant rate that it would have took you a year to draw this. Maybe 15 minutes here and an hour there over the year.

  • Attention to detail and the beauty reminds me of a Zen master, it isn't how fast you go- it is how soon you get there that counts.

  • Soooooooo sloooooooooow.... =)

  • I can understand if You would not have the time to complete this sensational piece of work.... I would not believe it would take over a year but I can understand your point.... But I must say this artistic picture has a sort of old fashion taste to it,,,, bravo :)

  • for dislike took me 1sec :)

  • hah the comment took me 1 sec =p

  • Imagine how long it would take if he adds colour.

  • @GixxerR5 ... even though this might seem a funny comment... colour and grayscales are essentially the same... they are gradients... they are different shades... so no, it wouldn't take any longer at all... nice try though... and I wonder how you combine a gsxr with an R5 to create a gixxerR5... must take ages

  • @PsychedbE Don't be such a prick... here, I said it myself :p

  • If you draw a stickman it must take at least a week

  • it's not a simple works...i'm impress with you sir :) very nice!

  • ... you sir are good...

  • Wow. It certainly was worth all that effort. I wish I could draw ANYTHING half as good as that, even if it takes me ten years to complete!

  • I that a naked woman right, with the butt up and face down?:D

  • Why did it take so long? was it on a huge scale? you upload an ultra high res version of it so we can appreciate the intense detail you must've added?

  • holy shit

  • is this your job, or a hobby?

  • Be proud, it's absolutely stunning.

  • one word DANM thats good

  • @bigdog9433 Danm... I agree.

  • XD

your just like what I do with my drawings

I have no consistancy to finish

so I dragg the peice longer then it should be XD

  • Idiots... Do you know how hard it is sometimes to keep your motivation doing one and the same drawing with THAT much detail!? Try it yourself if you don't believe it...

  • 1.5 years for trees?... they could grow quicker right?

  • well dude this is freaking great love ur shades and texture but it seems as u didnt work on it everyday so it took you that long lol but itotally get that cause i do the same if i where to do something like this straight with no stoping it woud probably take me a month

  • Lier it took 1 day and a half

  • This could be done in a couple of days for a slow drawer.

I think you just wanted to take your time though :D

  • I think I would find a more efficient way to draw

it doesnt even look finished, it doesnt matter how long it took you, i know people who could to that in a few days

dont get me wrong, AMAZING skill, but come on, you couldve worked faster, i meant.... 1 1/2 years? you might as well filled the whole layer with drawing

  • 1.5 years to make that? You aren't a very fast worker are you?

  • so ur saying that ur proud of taking 1.5 years working on something like this?

  • O_O 1.5 YEARS??? DAMN! I could make that in a WEEK! if I kept working!

  • @artisttutorials i dare you...

  • 1.5 years of your life you'll never get back....but nice work thou...

  • One and a half years? I can see that...this post took me 3 months.

  • 1.5 years because you were lazy.

  • @Oreo2319TV I can do it in 3 years:D

  • Incrediblely beautiful. I'm subscribing! thanks for the inspiration :]

  • truly awesome

  • respect man iam a drawer too, more a mangaka and i was fascinated great work

  • 1.5 years because of the tablet.

  • 1.5 years? rofl

  • this pic should not go to waste it should be published or something lol its so cool!!

  • hairy pussy but why did it take you that long my friend drew some thing like that before in a month.

  • what... I don`t understand, 1.5 years for 800x1000px? lol

  • @abcgrapher I agree... I do junk sketches at 2550x3300 - shame you can never make decent print of this considering all the work that went into it.

  • If you still young enough then it's time to make a background for your work now :)

  • lovely, but gosh arent you lucky the file didnt corrupt. or you didnt lose it!

  • "1.5 years of my life wasted"...............Bedo Da Procrastinate

  • Fascinating!

  • 3 words... Oh my days

  • Wow, you are slow! Just because it took so long doesn't mean it's worth it or great. The same applies to if something is old doesn't mean it's worth a lot of money. Besides smart artists lock philosophy in their art, where is the philosophy in yours and how deep is it?

  • @kotapaka aesthetic itself can become a philosophy. I'm not a professional artist but I've been having similar thoughts about what does it means to be an art. what defines the quality of good art is not just the intrinsic meaning behind them, but the effort and masterful craftiness that went into a art with a careful thought. I think BedoDavinci's work is drawn with an extreme care. I think not everyone can devote an year into a piece if they hasn't put into a great passion.

  • @fpemtpdlqj First comes philosophy. There are millions who can draw but that's not the point. The point is to put something into the drawing. For all we know I can take a picture of the thing you are trying to draw and it will only take a few milliseconds and will be much better than any drawing. So first you need to learn philosophy which means you might have to learn some science (they only learn the easy stuff about science). Otherwise you are a slow human camera!

  • @kotapaka

I agree that artwork has to involve a thought, but I don't think that's what defines a good work of art.

how can you be sure that what audience is seeing through the work of art is the same thing that artist is thinking of?

I think that kind of dramatic approach might lead us to limit our window of creativity in order to make it an obvious enough for audiences.

I think might be bit too chauvinistic to simply deny other approaches (perhaps genres / branches) of work of art.

  • @kotapaka That is a great point, and I agree. However, if you haven't noticed the philosophy in my drawing, welcome to the 99% club of people who can't get beyond the superficial details ;). Look again, and not very closely.

  • WOW, OMG, like, WTH! extreeeemely beautiful en awesome! _O_

I wouldn't have the patience to do something like that, I'm already tired of something if it takes more than a few days :$

  • 1,5 years :D:D u draw for a month somethink that can be drawn only for an hour or two.Check out from Jan 08 to Feb 09....only a branch :D:D:D.If i drew a branch for a month, drawing a tree would take me 10 years.... dude.. :D:D

  • simply an amazing piece of art, you my friend, has a patience that i would just die for. Most pictures i can only stand drawing for 4-6 hours. But you show such dedication its inspiring :) in fact im going to finish my drawing of a siberian husky (which is EXTREMELY detailed) which i am not even done with yet.....even though it does look done, im still missing shading, a few smudges, and color....

  • man.. are you drawing 1pixel per day?? i dont understand how it take 1.5 years... omg

  • what are the diemensions of this picutre????

  • Nice piece of artwork very impressive!!

  • I have seen 2hrs works better than this and more detailed, and yer pic is not that impressive.

as I see from yer prograss , ya must be drawing 5min at week ends only.

  • in 2007 u got lazy

  • Did it take that long because it was a complicated piece or were you just busy?

  • I think the reason it took 1.5 years to finish isn't because of how complex it is, you're just lazy.

  • @MoisChanVsTamama i wasn't paying attention to how many years went by. pfft oh well. he may not be making those but i was just trying to encourage him so i can see more. im an artist and i do traditional media...seeing this digital art looking so "undigital" just got me all excited SHEESH!

    -Ocean

  • u gonna take 1.5 years to upload another art vid?! cmon i want to see more!!! :D

  • very impressive my friend

  • Humna humna humna humna humna humna humna humna....

  • 1.5 years? More like 1-2 months.

  • It takes me forever to create one of my sculpts - I sculpt at an amazingly slow rate.

But I would never advertise this fact.

Nonetheless, It's a nice image of a lot of dead trees stretching to our heavens... Should be at least 4000 px wide.

  • 1.5 years? wtf is this in ULTRAHD 40000px x 20000px??

  • So, no tutorial?

    :P

  • do artists still very much stick to paper and real paints for fine control? I'm not an artist but im guessing there are limits with computer drawing compared to real hand art

  • @1982FMJ

The reverse is actually true, the computer gives one greater precision. One can do far more fine detail on a computer, simply because one can zoom in & zoom in & zoom in. Especially if one works in a resolution-independent environment.

Traditional paint media I feel is unbeatable for the messiness. The smell, the feel, the limitlessness of possible techniques. But not the accuracy, the computer gives one accuracy and control over detail.

Picasso is what paint is about...

  • @bishopdante

Or Egon Schiele. Matisse. Pollock. Bacon. Munch. Klimt. Kandinsky. Van Gogh. That's what the physical as a medium is about. Feel over detail, texture & responsiveness.

Works like those of HR Giger or Salvador Dali, an approach better suited to a digital medium.

  • Thats uhh ... amazing to be honest well done

  • wow.

  • so awesome, I am obsessed with painting tree bark right now.. thanks for sharing..

  • AMAZING !!!!

  • 0_0! Amazing! :D

  • i dont understand why this picture took so long to complete..

but this is a really good drawing, did you just not have enough time?

  • god O_o

  • whoa, this is some piece. And what dedication! working on a single project for that time period would be almost impossible for me(one of those artists with adhd) ^__^

  • Psshh.. That's like.. so easy.. totally! Like.. watch me in 29129 years! ...yeah! I'll get that done.. yeah..

  • That is awesome. I love it!

  • dam, the details musta killed u man

  • -_-

i feel so...so...unimportant to the world of tablet owners now....

  • for the 39 people who clicked the dislike button... Please get you glasses next time!

  • Amazing!

  • this is amazing....

  • Must be a MASSIVE file, cool!

  • Can somebody tell me how to make good computor art (a dock or something like that)

  • so are these tablets what artists use to create video game covers and album art design and concepts and stuff like that?

  • It's really nice.

But there's no need to mention the fact that it took so long. It's clearly just sparking negativity.

  • For doing such a piece on small scale like this needs respect already , but the rest of the work is just amazing I know few people who could pull something like that out and your one of them. :)

    Thank you.

  • amazing!

  • Could you imagine if you forgot to save it lol

  • amazing dedication like that makes me proud to be an artist!im still in high school but im trying my best to make art for people to enjoy :) nice work

  • omg you are crazy.

I clap my hands for you.

  • wow, you are fucking talented!! what kind of pad are you using? i need to get one.

  • @lawrencepluto If you saw the video completely, it says he uses a HP TC4200 Tablet PC (Medium) in the credits.

  • so how big is it?

    pixels/ inches?

  • Dedication like this is something people rarely pull off. Excellent work!

  • I really admire your patience and dedication. O__O

    The drawing is amazing.

  • wow! is this all in one layer?!

  • @kleinama9870

Yes, 1 layer...or rather no layers.

  • @BedoDaVinci Wow that is very impressive

  • @BedoDaVinci are employers impressed by this in your portfolio?

  • it is amazing , but surely it could have been done faster than that, unless you were working on it a little bit a day

  • how the hell does THAT take 1.5 years????!?!?!

  • Did you finish that on November 30th?!

  • In all honesty how fucking pissed would u have been if like round the end of the pic u had forgotten to back up the pic and u got a virus and it whipped or corrupted the file ... how pissed would ye be like

  • thats one BIG BUSH!!!!

  • @commandosolo2009

    You got it!

  • @BedoDaVinci thanks great work BTW > kudos ;)

  • check out my OMEGA POINT it took over 300 hrs to create, all i used is a sharpie,

it looks like something that took 10 years

  • @thisgame2

    It's very impressive, great work.

  • @BedoDaVinci thanks , i like your tree also,

  • y so long....worked on it every 3 months thats y

  • A beautiful piece of work to be sure, and tho I do not know if it has been said, and I am not willing to read thru 446 comments to find out-tho I did read a few that said it reminded them of a a va-jaja. It reminds me of Dantes Inferno. Bodies intertwined in pain and pleasure. Haven't the faintest what it is actually supose to be, and didn't see any comments that actually SAY for sure what it is .so that is my input! Either way, I find this to be breath taking!-no matter how long it took you.

  • @illbuggies

    ...it is a va-jaja. ;)

  • @BedoDaVinci thank you for the confirmation, i needed that :))

  • @BedoDaVinci hahahaha! man i would think someone with that much dedication wouldnt have a sense of humor but u really changed my mind.

  • a year and a half and what did you learn.
