  • So dicipline. Very talented. Makes me want to visit there =)

  • US Military Bands are equally great! The problem is the US government takes far less interest in honoring and using our Military Band program to its fullest potential. Here we see the Brits utilizing their bands in a grand fashion...Its much less the case in America. We were losing Army Bands before the financial crisis. The public values and appreciates military bands. Tell your elected officials about this and insist you get a band in your town in your parade! American is missing MUSIC!

  • @2.18. That is one slovenly slow march! Shoulders back, chest out and all that!

  • How quaint! The Thai band modeled after the Brits can do it better. Cheerio.

  • @jethromayham The thai band is not as good as the British military band.

  • what at 2:00 what guard playing the song? so good listen......

  • the ceremony dates all the way back to 1822 when the mall was used as a fast route to the palace for the guard. traditionally the guards would fast pace to the beat of just 1 bass drum, but trumpets were added later. after the great war the king decided to rotate the guard to give them a rest. now there are 4 guards brigades. the coldstream guards. the household cavalry, the scots guards and the welsh guards. the 5th SAS also live within the grounds in a section away from the head of state.

  • .....

Grenadier Guards, Coldstream Guards, Scots Guards, Irish Guards, and Welsh Guards. The household cavalry isn't the same, they're cavalry. So there are 5 regiments of Guards.

  • Whats the song at the beggining and at 2:30

  • I think just the act of playing an instrument ans walking at the same time is amazing.. some of us have to work at walking and chewing gum at the same time.

  • And some of us don't... but anyway, the guards are awesome!

  • I am an American and I have to say that the British have the most talented and most disciplined military bands in the world! Especially the Regimental Band of Her Majesty's Coldstream Guards!

  • Adidas, check out the Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines...brilliant

  • the band of the grenadier guards is still better than the coldstream guards. but i agree all the way with grey707 - the royal marines are truly magnificent. check out their drum solos !

  • this is a reply to adidas5136 :)

  • see, we kick ass :) we got ROYAL regiments..what other army can say that? and if ther is any ther really not worth the mention, why? cos they aint british! :)

  • What song were they playing up to 40 seconds? Sounds really good..

  • Beginning until 0.11 quick march Arromanches by Albert Edward Kelly.

Then a five roll drum beat and the quick march Guards Armoured Division by George Willcocks.

  • Thankyou Sir!

  • Hell I am glad I was born an Englishman ex matelot myself.

Our Sovereign Lady the Queen God Bless Her.

  • Fantastic, sharp musicians that I would love to see in person sometime.

  • It reminds us who owns this country...

  • It makes you proud to be British! - JOHN WALKER (UK)
