Great vid Shanel. Based on some of comments posted, I would suggest a follow-up vid with advice and tips for women on things that can do to enhance their external features properly. I think a lot of women struggle with properly branding theirselves regarding outward apperance and don't fully understand how it is linked to success

I wonder why a lot of black women are looking so terrible these days. They have that week-old grapes look. Really cruddy and stale, even though they have put themselves together, it just doesn't look appealing. A good barometer for them to go by would be an anchor woman on a local or national news station. If your looks stray too far away from those classy women, then you're missing the mark.

I agree... I have enjoyed your messages in the past but this put people down instead of building them up! Skinny jeans can be worn by any size as long as the fit properly. Also, if you are broke, sometimes you can just celebrate life itself... I'm not saying make poor decisions, but we don't know their story.

I agree with your ministry and message of empowerment for women. I think when we set up ourselves in a position to empower other women, it should be just that. 2 tell the truth in luv. What's said may very well be tru. Comes off condescending & judgmental. Sometimes venting in private is better than venting in public. If you are setting yourself up for others to trust u & respect your character, this video diminishes it just a tad. God Bless and love many of your other videos.

Saying that "skinny jeans are made for skinny people"is not an empowering or motivational statement. especially to those women who are thick in the right places, not sloppy, and dont qualify for that title of thin/petite. its sending a mixed message.. how do they fall in love w. themselves when women 2-3 sizes smaller than them are creating these codes n regulations for what they should or shouldnt wear?? i def agree w. her intent, just not her word choice.

@JoneeL86 If you listen again she didn't say those women who are thick in the right places. She specifically said for women with MUFFIN TOPS meaning that is just nasty so don't wear it. I am a guy and trust me it is not a good look. I love me a THICK woman but i don't think she was referring to them..... Just my $0.02

oh noo im def not one of those females that hate to hear the truth! n i do not consider myself at all as one of those described in this video.. but i feel ms. cooper created this blog/ video page to make a difference n create change in women as a whole. but the truth is undeniable... Her delivery was harsh and it contradicts her mission and purpose for this page.

Yes, some of these people you talked about need a little guidance in the area of their clothing choices...they may not have much money, but they still don't deserve to be judges. Even I felt the jab when you said that they have nothing to celebrate - OUCH!
Very straightforward, but very very harsh delivery.
You may have lost some ears from the audience for whom this vid was targeted.

I see people that look like this all the time, but you have to at some point realize that not everybody has good sense of style. Guaranteed all these girls that she's talking about looked in the mirror before they left the house and thought they looked hot. All the things she described, I agree look ridiculous to me, but this was just a rant to cut people down, and she's usually better than that.

I would invest one dollar with Dr.Miracle and the wonder bra campaign. She is cute, but only a***hole would bring out the obvious. I have seen some of these women but they were in the mall or on the streets of NYC. Those women dont seem to think there is any problem. If they dont have a problem with it..there is really nothing anyone can do. Unfortunately

You define, health, succes, happines etc. by what we can see as good. The latest gadgets = succesfull jobs/ambition/talent, A thin figure = healthy/beauty/selfesteem, the latest fashion = selfconsious etc. I disagree! Women have the tendency, when they feel secure bc of the above mentioned aquirements, to set themselves as a standard and a model or definition of femininity. Why not keep the focus on yourself and keep modeling yourself after the image called love?

The biggest tragedy to me, beyond the breakdown of black male/female relationships, is the utter demolition of relationships between sisters (as displayed by the back-and-forth comments below.) I don't go to clubs. 28 yrs old & never been to the club. I rarely go to bars. I don't do strip clubs.
What am I doing wrong? I never intentionally go out to meet females, it's always on my way somewhere...
