  • Funniest commercial, i've ever seen.

  • I'm 18 now and remember Ken Griffey, Jr. being the first baseball player I really liked when I was 4 or 5 years old. Best player of my generation, BAR NONE! What's even sweeter is that years later, all signs are clear that he was free of steroids. I can't wait to see this man inducted at Cooperstown!

Imagine if he played for the Yankees.......The Yankees probably would have another 3-4 championships.

  • @Fable206 if he wasnt injured he PROBABLY wouldve hit more Home runs then Hank Aaron, dont you think?

  • @fendertender1

absolutely, no doubt about it. I think he should have just stayed in Seattle his entire career, and stayed away from the NL and the Reds. Imagine what could have been if the Mariners held on to Griffey, A-rod, got Ichiro and also had guys like Edgar Martinez, Jay Buhner, Randy Johnson......probably would have won a world series in the early 2000's.

  • @statman06 Stern is a saint compared to the greatest a-hole of all, Selig.

  • The only time I got to see JR in person was at the Doc Gooden No hitter at Yankee Stadium as a kid

  • "A 30 homer and 100 RBI guy"?? No no no...in his prime he was much better than that...oh yeah, don't forget the gold glove...

  • @timmyj114 was a 40+ 100+ with a glove. some people are clueless on how good players are and were

  • I saw him when he played for the White Sox and it is a shame he didn't win a world series. In my mind he is just as good as Willie Mays. If he played 150 games a year he woulda shattered Aarons record. He is the greatest in my mind to ever play the game.

  • IM A FAG

  • What happened to Griffey Jr? Well maybe you in USA had him well known but for me in South America Griffey sounds like a myth, like a very good player who didn't reach full potential. Although when I see numbers they tell me other story, anyways I knew almost nothing from him during his career, never saw a game of him and... well you get the idea.

  • @giancarlog89 you've got to be shitting me dude...you obviously know nothing about the game of baseball if you're questioning Griffey's career...it was plagued by injuries, but in his prime, was one of the most FEARED (if not THE MOST feared) hitters in the game

  • Griffey truly did it without steroids and he should be considered the greatest since the Babe. The end. He's money when playing for Seattle.

  • I Wish Griffey Jr. Would Have Been With The Reds In HIs Younger Years When He was a 30 homer and 100 RBI guy

  • For the love of God, man! Put the sign away!

  • he got a lot of at bats that game

  • "Got out in front of that one." lmao

  • greatest ever never seen anyone like hi the reason i`m still a baseball fan even after all te steroid cheaters robbed me of some of my best memories i always had junior always will love you man the kid the natural a true star

  • hey Junior!

  • barry bonds made 12 acoounts to dislike this

  • my oh my! hahaha griffeys got the swaggg

  • I remember this ad- I thought it was great that they had the guy with the sign go out to places like Dick's Drive In, the Elephant Car Wash and Gas Works Park.

  • I have his rookie if anyone wants it

  • @BIGSKYGAMBLER i have to of them and one is a misprint

  • @batmanmotherfucker "To" Of them huh? LMAO! DUM-E

  • @seattlehawkins ever hear of a typo, grammar cop?

  • I miss Griffey, I wish Cincinnati could of experienced what he was like in Seattle.

  • @Aceman923 amen. if we had an everyday healthy Junior, plus a decent pitching staff, we woulda been division contenders through out the 2000's other than battling Pittsburgh for last place every year.

  • ok listen.... Griffey is a one of a kind.. People always say about his decline and injuries. Consider the steroid era. take awya guys like Sosa, Palmeiro, McGwire, etc. Griff is one fo the best players to EVER play the game. PERIOD. No mention in steroid talks and he went all out in center field. he wasn't some bulky 1st baseman hitting bombs, he was an amazing fielder for a decade. he had a NATURAL career. When he got older, he got injured and wasn't as good. That's natural. Griffs the greatest

  • G.O.A.T!

  • It was so nice see him playing in the 90´s. He was simply the best!

  • I remember being at a Cincinnati's game, back in 2000. At that time, Griffey had just went to Cincinnati and they were facing his old team, the Mariners. Dad and I were sitting out in right field, two rows from the wall. Griffey was doing horrible that day... I think he only got on base one time. Well, when the Mariners were up at bat, and Griffey was out in right field, my dad yelled, "Griffey, you suck." He turned around and shook his junk at my dad.

  • He once sent me a letter

  • Without his injuries, its safe to say that Ken would of been at the top of the leader boards for home runs

  • Grifey's a beast :D

  • Griffey is probably the most talented player ever to step on a baseball field, but imagine what his career would have been like if he'd trained and conditioned properly instead of just relying on his innate ability.

He would have hit 900 home runs if he had taken training seriously. Certainly his broken wrist was a freak accident, but most of his other injuries could have been prevented.

Also, this is a nike ad... Junior would have been the best even if he played shoeless.

  • I miss the Kingdome

  • @fasteddie36 it was fun to watch games there! jr was the best hitter / player of our time, without a doubt, and there is no way he did steroids. he was a natural.

  • never could stand the invariable griffey shit-eating grin --- feel free to lift weights and give a shit about your body and you would've been the home run king instead of Barroid.

  • @JBSchmoov yea umm he lifted, and since he didnt do steroids he got hurt like regular people. had he not have been hurt he would have had the record, ps i met griffey and he is a very humble nice individual. so i take offence to you talking about his smile, he had fun playing the game which is how the game was meant to be, he was probably the greatest player ever, and without the injuries he would have broken records a would b considered the greatest ever, he did everything he could without roids

  • @newhardy101fyi I had the opportunity to meet Griffey as well and he was the nicest guy. He was with his family so me and my buddy didn't want to bother him too much but he said there and talked to us for 15 minutes or so. That was at NBA city at Universal Studios in Florida. Definately made my vacation!

  • its a slug fest who won? griffey

  • Vote For Griffey!!!

I'm voting for Griffey for the all star game, as well as a write in for the home run derby. Go to MLB.com and vote for Griffey in the all star game and home run derby. You can vote 25 times for each from each e-mail address you have. I'm voting hundreds, if not thousands of times, but he needs more.

Lets see Griffey one more time.

  • @skatchmo too bad he retired last week

  • @ChrisFlipsAlot

Magic Johnson was retired when he played in the NBA All Star game, and it was the most memorable all star game in NBA history.

  • thats the kid to bad he ritierd it coulda goin tell he was 60 years old lol

  • if you had a chance to watch this guy play through 1990 to 2000 you got the chance to see one hell of a baseball player. maybe the best to ever step on the field. i think everybody knows if he would have stayed healthy he would have been the guy on top of the HR charts. i know who i am going to tell my kids about and its barry bonds.

  • He is a man !!!!!!!

  • I have lived in seattle my entire life and growing up i didnt watch baseball until 2001. But i always knew who ken griffey jr was and we all loved him. I got to see him alot in 2009 which for me was a special season i will never forget.

I was there vs tampa bay when griffey tied the game up thus the mariners wining in a walk off.

We all love you griffey. Seattle will miss the Kid!!!

  • This guy was the poster you had on the wall growing up as a kid. He was the guy you tried to copy the swing of in the mirror while playing Little League. Best damn player of a decade, WITHOUT being tagged with drug accusations.

  • Avg .284, Hr 630, RBI 1836, Hits, 2781, 13x all star, 10x gold glove award winner, 7x silver slugger winner. First Ballot HOF, KEN GRIFFEY JR.

  • Would've been top 5 all time if he just hadn't left Seattle.

  • classic commercial. Jr. would have easily been the home run king, and even the best player ever had he not been injured so many times late in his career. A perennial All-Star selection and Gold Glover, Ken Griffey Jr. will no doubt be a first ballot Hall of Famer. Jr. was my favorite player ever, and I'm sad to see him go, but ever has to retire someday.

  • Did u see this on him?

    msofficer . com

  • best player in modern times. No steroids, Could you imagine his stats if he did use the juice.

  • 1st ballot hall of famer!!

  • 1st ballot HOF!!!

  • this guy is def the Mickey Mantle of our generation...all the talent in the world, didn't put up the all time numbers because of injuries.

  • If it wasn't for injuries Griffey would have well over 700 homeruns and over 3000 hits with probably atleast 2 more gold gloves, he currently has 10. Making him my favorite player and in my opinion one of the best of all time, atleast top 10 maybe top 5.

  • Junior should have the most home runs of all time damn injuries

  • they need to bring those griffeys back, that dude is gonna make a fortune off those balls lol

  • Griffey was my idol as a child. It's sad to see him struggling on the Mariners now.

But he's still my favorite player.

  • lol this is definatly how griffey was in the kingdome, wish we still had the old him and the kingdome but hey it is worth every penny the mariners are paying him.

  • wow!! the fuckin m's might cut griffey!! Does this make sens to anyone?! i understand he's been pretty bad so far, but look at the rest of the lineup!! there might be 3 players on the team with a higher avg. than griffey!!! not to mention griffey is the only feared HR hitter in the lineup, get another bat! trade the baggage like figgins, kotchman, lee!! grab a bat for griffey to get excited with, and than see how he produces!! this is NOT griffeys fault. Fuckin headlines are so fuckin stupid man

  • not to mention if we do cut griffey...who the fuck is gonna replace him?? some rookie who struggles to hit .200. i think we have enough of those. griffey is the only bat M's fans get excited for anyway! he might not be hitting HR's, but his presence alone is worth the 1mil they're paying him

  • how can you not like ken griffey jr?

  • I used to love this commercial. Jr was, Is, and always will be my favorite.

  • just met him today at the a's game

  • coulda, shoulda, woulda won the triple crown if he stayed healthy.

  • fake

  • @Yyyyzyyy You're dumb for even having to say it is fake.

  • ending lol

  • dont ever say its all good you douchebag its not if you were a basketball player you loved the sonics i loved kevin durant out of high school i went crazy when the sonics got him and the only game i had tikets to i had a high school game to go to the sonics were a huge part of this city

  • @scotsballer2 they were ,and i'm pissed they left, look how good they became,i bet if we had them back as a good team,we'd be the loudest crowd in the NBA

  • @westsidenasfan you mean like how they are now? im pissed too, i still watch em though

  • its all good now. we got our Sounders

  • if it wasnt for ken griffey jr, seattle would probly not have had a baseball team. i thank god that didnt happen. why did they have to take the sonics out of seattle?!! WHY!

  • The Owner did`nt make efforts to persuade Washington government officials to provide funding to update KeyArena, so that led Howard Schultz sale the Team to Oklahoma.

  • @dtruth20091 it was acually because the city of seattle taxpayeers didnt want to update key arena, the vote was soemthing like 49%yes-51%no... i am still sad that they left.

  • Baseball would die for me if I ever found out he did steroids. Him and Cal Ripken meant so much to me growing up...

  • @lagunatom yeah I know man, Ken Griffey jr has always been my favorite baseball player. Unlike the steroid users when he went from skinny to big, his big wasnt muscle (steroid muscle I mean). you could tell he had a gut on him. kind of sad he retired yesterday.

  • @lagunatom they are argubly the best two baseball players that never took steroids

  • @lagunatom everyone knows that junior didn't take steroids because he hit less homeruns when he got old. If he had been on roids he might have hit 800+ HRs.

  • @lagunatom yea man i agree, although i highly doubt he ever used em. he was my fav growin up as well mainly b/c he didnt juice. he was a natural old skool slugger, its a damn shame he broke his wrist makin tht spiderman catch or else i think he woulda beat or tied hank aarons record b4 the piece of shit bonds did, lol. I'm so glad i was able to watch him in person 8-10 times.i got to see him as a mariner @ the vet and as a red 1 row from the phils dugout in cbank park got great pics of him

  • @lagunatom this is the sentiment of every kid growing up in the 90's

  • Right fielder's just chillaxin lol

  • What a retard he should have left the sign on the floor instead of taken it with him! JK

  • check out my ken griffey jr. tribute

  • haha this is so cute

  • My oh my!

  • just like your future adopted children.

  • Ken Griffey Jr now has 620 Career Home Runs

  • Wow that brings me back..who remembers the "My Oh My! That Ball is BELTED..." god I love it. Mid 90's Team was insane!

  • No doubt...they were the team that truly should've one a world series....The Kid,A-rod,The big unit, edgar martinez, and brett boone (or one of the boone's)

  • sweetest swing in baseball

  • griffey HAS to be t only top 5 all time homerun hitter dat wasnt on steroids in t past 50 years since willie mays to make it dat high

  • funny how the best player of the steroids era wasn't even on steroids.

  • Its Cuz Steroids Just Allow You To Work Out Harder They Dont Give You The Five Tools Of Baseball Steroids Arent Even A Big Fucking Deal. Anyways Go GRIFFEY

  • I hope the Mariners win this year. Griffey deserves a world series

  • true DAT GOOOO ICHIRO/GRIFFEY!

  • i guess this guy is the only clean home run hitter in the whole mlb. HOF 4 sure

  • Who The Fuck Cares Whos Clean And Whose Not Its Not A Big Deal. That Guy With The Target Really Gets Around Though

  • apparently every1 cares if you use steroids cause that all they talk about.

  • Yeah Thats Pretty Gay. Anyways KEN GRIFFEY IS AWESOME

  • Why do you capitalize every fucking word? Very annoying...

  • Why Do You Give A Fuck You Easily Annoyed Pussy.

  • do you want to suck my dick?

  • Nah. Just Stay On Your Dads While You Guys Play Yugi Oh Together. GO GRIFFEY

  • Hell yea. Go Griffey!!! Wait What?

    nvm.. but yea.. go griffey!

  • HaHa Yeah Go Griffey. Braves Are Good To Jurjens Pitched Like A God Tonight

  • oh man... i thought he gonna had that no hit though... but he lost it in the 7th inning with two outs..

  • Yeah im A Die Hard Marlins Fan But Braves Are The Only Other Team I Like At All In The Division. Braves Cuz Of Cox And I Loved Furcal. But With Vazquez, Lowe, Jair, Kawakami And Tommy Boy Holy Shit! But Hanley Ramirez Is King What You Like About The Marlins

  • かっこよすぎる

  • when i hit i have trouble loading my hands any one have any tips

  • keep your hands and weight back. u shouldnt really load your hands they should go forward and thats it not back and then forwards

  • Yeah, loading your hands will throw your whole swing off. Swinging is more about the torque and drive of your body, your hands just go with the flow.

  • hey when i hit i have trouble loading my hands does anybody have any tips

  • ちょっとしたホラーになってるなww

  • 0:29

"my oh my" hahaha, classic seattle mariner line

  • to me i thought griffey wouldve stayed on the reds like his father

  • Reds fucking reek, Griffey belongs in Seattle.

  • Hands down the best player i have ever seen and i'm feeling like a kid watching the kid play as a mariner once more

  • They are re-airing this commercial in Washington now, mand this commercial is the best, glad to see them use a classic commercial after 9 years.

  • since mlb coppyrighted the video of his homer, this is next best. you ever see field of dreams? Well this is the purest embodiment of it you will see this year

  • Griffey was a monster in his prime, diving catches, unbelievable wall catches, one in which he injured himself this guy was like Spider-man, I am glad to see the Kid return to where he belongs, baseball in seattle is just not baseball unless he is in a Mariners Uniform hands down.

Junior may not be the same player he was during his first tenure with Seattle, but he still has some pop and a willing to play, and he is still my fave player of all time, and he will always be.

  • Comment removed

  • So why at 58 seconds does it show the Kingdome?

  • I'm a braves fan and have always been a fan of Jr in the 90's when he started his career in a mariners uniform. I was a little bummed out at first that Jr decided to sign with the Mariners instead of the braves, but i'm glad that he did. Cuz when I see Jr I see a mariner. It would be weird seeing him in any uniform other then the mariners.

  • jr's baaaacckkk!

  • Still my motha fuckin dawg GOAT

  • what Griffey shoes are these??????? I was young when i had these. Hope they relese these Griffey shoes. Hit me up if anyone knows.

  • That's crazy!! I've been to all those places.. The Elephant Car Was, Dick's (after a night of drinking, best burgers!!) , Pike's Market of course. I want to move back to Seattle

  • i am so happy to see junior come home go mariners

  • Check out my basketball highlight videos.

Griffey was and is the best Mariner of all time.

  • it sucks because i think he would of gotten the record if he hadnt gotten hurt. he's natural, and it sucks what happened.

  • how do u know he hasnt took roids???

  • I hope he has a good season in Seattle

  • not an M's fan but am glad to see him go home. i hope they win the division.

  • Thank you so much. We are loyal fans, excited that the prodigal son has returned!! Back to the "House that junior built"!! Thanks for your inspirational wishes for us this season. And....."Play Baaaaaaaaaall!!

  • I felt bad when he left. But he's back. Good luck to my favorite AL team.( A Met Fan)

  • thanks for the support. You know whats funny is the mets are my favorite NL team. Sort of weird how that works out.

  • man he was every young baseball fans idol....and i was a yankee fan.

  • Baseball's ONLY legit Homerun hitter

GLAD to see those Steroid a-holes pay for their cheating!

    A- ROD SUCKS

  • A-Roid

    or A-Fraud

    I like them both

  • Welcome home!!!

  • I'm not a Mariners fan. Heck, I'm not even a big baseball fan, but I am glad to see that Junior is back in Seattle where it all started.

  • Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee's baaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!!!

  • welcome back to Seattle Kid!!! your a little older now, but Seattle loves you!!! go 2009 M'S!!!!!

  • Welcome Home Junior!! Seattle M's 2009!!

  • that's a cool commercial. i do not think i have ever seen that before.

  • Seattle will have an exciting outfield with Jr & Ichiro.

  • BACK IN SEATTLE BABY

  • now that is seattle in the 90's, everything great about our teams(except for the seahawks) was in that decade

  • Sweetest swing in baseball!

  • What happened to the homerun montage one with Dave Niehaus is speaking.

  • i remeber i used to love this commercial!!!! haha hit it here jr

  • Over-hyped my ass... when he was in Seattle

    In the 90's it was:

Yankees WS Champions, and Ken Griffey Jr. MVP (aside from '98, the NL wasn't around)

That's 90's Baseball in a nutshell (I could go into details but that would take 10 years)

  • they don't make commercials like this anymore

  • hope he finishes his career in seattle

  • My oh my!

  • Brian Setzer on the guitar?

  • nike's bringing back his old cleats from 96, they're so sick, hopefully they're making trainers too

  • wow griffey can hit em anywhere! lol

  • I loved this commercial! I can't believe someone found it.

  • wish he coulda been the HR king

  • 僕が一番好きな大リーガーです。I like griffey jr

  • griff is the man

  • that was a funny one, and thank god he got out og cincinnatte, he would have never really got anywhaere there, he hasnt won a world series ring yet has he, well he has a chance now, i hope he gets one

  • hey ken is amazing and he is finally adapting to chi town. he is best all time

  • Wish one season he could have a great comback season he had in Seattle, it would be cool to end his career with a 40 plus hr season.

  • then y do people say them? im just sayin dude injuries dont happen blah blah blah

  • Griffey is now a white sox yay!

  • Ah, the heyday of Mariner's baseball... Cool seeing all the Seattle icons in that commercial btw.

  • sweet
