  • "Brian Jones And Justin Hayward Had The Same Face Appearances From: (Each Other.) (The Thing About Happiness Was, It Was Boring.) Said Brian Jones, Thinking About Justin Hayward When He Said This To Justin Hayward Back In: (1969!")

  • Whatever planet these guys are on, its diggable.

  • Hot Damn!! Could Justin be any more gorgeous!! ? That man melts my heart!! Lord have mercy!! I love this upload!! Awesome footage of such a phenomenal band !! The Moodies are pure brilliance and perfection!! I love this band with every depth of my soul!! Thier music has inspired and touched souls throughout the years and still to this day!! Gorgeous!! The Moodies forever my friends!! ☺♥xoxo

  • Never saw this performance before. Love it. I will watch the Moodies in Las Vegas on May 13th 2011, at the Hard Rock hotel. I read this song is their live show grand finale. I hope so. Great upload, and rock on, Moody Blues!!

  • Großartig. Danke.

  • excellent, sometimes I love youtube, this is one of them.

  • Where did you find this?

  • why do think i have thees outrageous accent you silly wiper of other peoples bottoms?

  • 1. . .2. . .3. . .4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @DieselProductions11 1...2...3

  • Lol that is the original quagmire lol giggity

  • WTF, during the guitar solo they show the drummer?

  • For a rock band, they're all pretty good-looking guys. Nice to see that even in '69 they still had the drum solo for the live performance of the song. Such an awesome tune.

  • Thanks for sharing this with me, Deb...believe it or not, I have never seen this before!

What a treasure this is...love it! I put it in my favorites.

    Amazing song, amazing performance :)

  • Amazingly mobile cameras for the dark ages of video. Good job camera guy and director guy. Nice really live version of song. Thanks.

  • Thanks for uploading this!

  • Great live version!

  • Ahh now THIS is the live version of this song.

  • That's a real rough version or what!

    Great tune though.

  • This is that same French place where Zep played on the Led Zep DVD isn't it?.

Zep came blowing out on stage doing Communication Breakdown and that woman can be seen covering the child's ears in the studio audience. Eveyone else looked stunned and terrified.

    It was amazing to watch.

  • Unbelievable!! 5 stars and right into my favorites. Thank you so much for posting.

  • This *is* awesome! One of the best live Moodies clips ever. This alone should put them in the RnR Hall Of Fame--very good, cosmically rocking mellotron there! They really do look like a band on a mission, dont they?

  • Like all halls of fame, there are oversights. But the Moody Blues not being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a travesty?!

  • That is very true, and they deserve entry I thinks.

  • does anyone have the Moody Blues "Ride" version from the Tom Jones TV show debut in 1969? Just got the DVD and they do a powerful version?

  • Post it!!!!

  • Moi, aussi, ma cherie! I hope it wasn't too much of a sacriledge with the comment i left! I know how fiesty you GA women can get defending your man!

  • Ooh, la, la!!! she speaks the French, too!

  • What can you expect when Napolean introduces you! LOL! Good, vid, tho!

  • Hi Berrygirl, nice to hear from you!

To my disbelief, you said there are some John Lodge songs you don't like, would you care to name some?

  • where's the fucking bass in the studio version the bass line carries the song and kicks arse

  • cameraman should be shot for doing such a crummy job.

  • There must be a way you prove it too me. I still don't believe Justin sings falsetto in this particular performance. Your love of John Lodge makes you think he could no wrong. Name one song where Justin is singing by himself and you can hear his SOLO voice sing falsetto.

    Thanks for your comments.

  • WHAT, JUSTIN SINGS FALSETTO!? I don't believe that. There must be some way you can prove it to me. If it's not John, then is must be Ray.

John definetly sings the falsetto on 'Time To Get Away'. It's not that it's off-key during this performance, it's on pitch, it just doesn't sound good. It's too loud!!!

    LONG LIVE THE MOODY BLUES

  • Ah! The falsetto! It doesn't sound good when at the end of every line John sings falsetto.

  • Look at the dimples on our handsome Mr. Lodge. Too bad I was only 9 when this was made. I had no chance to see John during this time period. None at all. :(

  • Hi Berr, What's with the audience, they were all sitting in their chairs? We would have been dancing on those chairs!!! I'm trying to catch up on video's but I'm available too if you need... xoxo

  • Berry,

Hope to hear more....I'll be back later!!

  • Berry,

    LOL LOL LOL!!!!!

  • Berry,

Quick, grab the smelling salts.....too late...THUD!!!

  • Graeme, Oh Graeme, Where are you??????

  • candle,

I think he is involved in a high speed chase that is being captured on video from a Police Helicopter! Something about Berry needing to get to the Airport immediately, she flagged down his cab by mistake.

    LOL LOL LOL!!!!!

  • Oh Dear Lord Terr... Not again! Everybody fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy ride tonight! lololol!!

  • LOL!!!

Hey, most of us are on meds...and a little loopy! At least we like the same bands (and are of the same generation by the look of it).

I've visited Russia and played tour guide for Russian friends while living in Paris years ago...the Russians do not at all like Napoleon!

  • What do you mean?

  • Someone please enlighten me, what's with the napolean looking guy at the beginning?

  • It's an insult to Russians and in very poor taste. Muscovites considered only Hitler more evil as both men tried to conquer their town. Why they have a Napoleon for this number, I don't know. What I do know is that there are few men more hated by Russians. Go figure.

  • Today is 20 July...

    Happy Birthday John Lodge. :)

  • Hi Berr and Ap, I agree about John's hair too, oh and Berr I figured you were only about five, but I hope I made your day anyway...lol

  • Just heard Seesaw Kremlin for the first time, Excellent!!! John does have a great voice! Oh and I read somewhere that he was laughing and smiling in this video because he was thinking about his berrygirl1964...

  • Mystical!!!!!!!! All of what they do...

  • Rock that mellotron Mike!! comfortingly real harmonies shows it's live....yes Lodge was quite goodlooking before he got hair like a cake in the 80s...

  • Ya know, I liked his hair better a little later when it was longer, curlier, a bit wilder. I guess I think he was pretty good looking either way.

  • I love the emcee... He's something out of Blackadder 3.

  • thanks for posting

  • love it! Go John go!

  • Great live performance by the Moodies! Thanks for uploading!

  • Wow! an oldie, but a goodie.
